After reading these reviews, i'm happy I never went inside this store at all. I only came here to get gas but that wasn't the issue, there were people fighting throwing stuff out peoples cars, physical fighting and shouting matches between this couple that was there. Nobody did anything but 2 Shell employees were just sitting out there checking out the action. I'm happy I drove off and got away before it escalated. This gas station is dangerous, I only ad 14 miles left until I was entirely empty and didn't want to push my tank any more. read more

Please do not stop here. We pulled over at 10:08 to put gas and saw another group getting out of their car. They went in and we put gas first. After fueling ( give it 1-3 mins) we go to enter and the door is locked. Worker didn't even pay attention to our knocking til one of the guys who went in before us told him there are people knocking. He turned and said that they are closed. REALLY???? If you close at 10 why did you let them in and not us. Wish we didn't fuel here. Thank God we didn't have an emergency. I've stopped in at this location several times on my way home from hunting on the mountain. That's how I knew that on my way to Cedar City, I could stop in and get a cowgirl hat for my daughter before hitting a country concert. The staff is always friendly and the store is always clean! The people running this place now got it right this time! Jewel serves food here until 2 pm that is unbelievable. She is a super nice lady that makes the food with care and the prices are very reasonable. She made my Grandpa's birthday special with a pizza so big and good I had to include a picture! This is one of the few places along thus stretch of I-15 to get food or drink items. I wad tired so we stopped for some caffeineted beverages. The woman at the register (frowning the whole) told me the total. When I pulled cash out of my wallet, she gave a very loud sigh and acted like I had asked her to open my drink and pour it down my throat for me. If you don't want to take people's money, don't work in a convenience store. Joe comes over uninvited and says the trailer leaf spring equalizer has a loose bolt. Let me take a look - jacks it up and says he'll try to tighten it up. Then he can't tighten it up - he takes both tire off and pulls the equalizer off and O look here it's missing a bushing. I just happen to have some heavy duty equalizers I can throw on real quick for you. What do I do? My trailer is in a dozen pieces? I figure the parts can't be more than $400 and he does it. Go in to pay and parts are $918 and 45 minutes of labor is $250!!! Same part on Internet $229 - 400% markup!! No estimate before work - no signed authorization to do work prior to doing work. Called owner of Texaco - he says I'm looking at your old parts and you definitely had a problem - funny because the old parts are in the back of my truck. Here's the analogy the owner uses - "you need an aspirin at a hospital - you care what they charge when you need it" - our response "I went into Walgreens for gum and the doctor came up to me and said here you need an aspirin (at hospital rates)". Report these jerks to the State of Utah Consumer Protection Agency - to Texaco / Chevron Corp fraud complaint division - your credit card company and have the charges reversed until resolved. Utah busted gas stations for this same thing over in Beaver - enough complaints and this guy will pay too. UPDATE: This shop called again and said they got a quote from Camping World in St George of approx $950 - so we called Camping World in St George - they don't carry these parts and cannot order them. And their labor is $99/hr on parts they provide or $129/hr using customer parts. So Texaco New Harmony lied again! DO NOT STOP HERE!!! Drive to Cedar City!! We stopped to get gas and Joe came up to us while fueling and told us our engine sounded funny. Stupidly we allowed him to look under hood of our truck. Next thing we knew he said our clutch fan was frozen and he could replace it. Stupidly again we agreed, we were tired and had been on the road for over eight hours. He kept putting in fan clutches that wasn't the right one. After the fourth try he pronounced our truck was fixed. We said the part didnt look the same. He swore that he would buy us a bottle of whiskey if it wasnt the right part. As it turns out it wasnt an OEM part like he promised, it was the wrong part and the same part we could buy in Cedar City for a 1/4 of the cost. We went back and agrued with Joe and he finally agreed to take his part back for a partical refund. And funny enough we have driven back to Cedar City four times since with the same fan clutch that was supposedly was bad. So unless you want to pay for parts that you dont need at a exuberant price then stop here. If you dont keep driving!!!!!!!! read more

But, yet again, yesterday, they filed another complaint- of course the Feds were involved. Do yourself a favor and gas up in St.George (going North) and Cedar City (going South). Avoid these guys, and their fellow Freeway Tire locations. Bonus, they're related to the County Sheriff. Scam Alert!!!! Whatever you do don't let them do any sort of service on your car. They will rip you off in a heartbeat. They charge exorbitant prices. I was taken advantage of because I was a woman traveling alone with out of state plates. Some guy from the garage comes up to me out of the blue telling me I have a problem with my tires. They are so bald they aren't even legal. Says I am lucky these haven't blown out already and it's too dangerous to be driving on these any more. Says let just put it on the lift and the can show you. Goes on and on about how the people who last serviced my car were terrible and I should take pictures and complain. So of course I'm all upset because I still have hundreds of miles to go. Tells me he will give me his best price. Says oh you have a very rare tire. $289/tire plus hazard fee and mounting and balance fee for Cooper CS3 Touring 235/55r18. Well I can only afford two at that price and that takes all I have set aside for my summer vacation. I end up paying $778 for 2 tires. He offered 2used bridgestones for $125 each for the tires I couldn't replace. I get home and start looking to replace those other tires and find out that they go for as low as $91.91. I am sick. So I read reviews on this place. Come to find out it is a pattern of behavior. Read the Google reviews. So we call them to try and work it out. The owner, Mike,says the price is the price and is furious that I would put up a bad review before talking to him. Joe, the guy who did my tires, calls back and offers $100 if I will take down the review. Not a chance!!! read more

BEWARE We were driving towards Cedar City on the I-15 in our SRX when a warning appeared that we had a low tire. We pulled off at this Texaco to put some air in the tire. A man appeared and told us the air machine was broken but if we needed air pull over and we could use his at the service center. We did and immediately he told my husband our tires were bad that the steel belts were separating. My husband said which tire? And this man said all four! My husband asked him to put our car in the rack so he could see them. This guy,I think I heard another man call him Joe and he is missing a few teeth, got on the phone to check on tires while the younger helper guided my husband to drive our car on their rack. Joe got off the phone and said he could get our tires from Vegas and it would take a couple of hours and run $500.00 per tire. My husband could not see any separation even though Joe kept insisting. He asked them to look for a nail in our left front tire and they did find a nail. However Joe said they could not repair the tire as it was too close to the side wall, and the tire needed to be replaced. My husband asked them to put soapy water on it to see how fast it was leaking. They did and no bubbles came out. My husband said thanks...how much do I owe you and Joe said what ever you think it's worth. My husband gave him $20.00 cash and we left. We headed for St. George and found Bracken's Auto Tech and Tires. They removed that nail plus "2" more nails in that same tire that Joe and his helper missed!! They ALSO checked all our tires for nails or any other problems. They only charged us $19.00. My husband asked them specifically if the steel bands were ok, they said yes, absolutely. Joe is a complete scam artist. I was out of state in Utah for a tradeshow, about 500 miles away from home by the time I rolled into his gas station / repair shop with my truck and trailer. Joe came running up to me and said my trailer looked weird. "Pull it in front of my shop, I will check it out for you" he said, so I listened to him. He told me and my co-worker to go ahead and go inside to grab a free cup of coffee from his brother. By the time we came out, he had my wheels and tires off of my trailer and the shackles taken off. Joe said "oh, your shackles are blown out, but don't worry I have some replacement ones. I will get that taken care of for you." Keep in mind, I have 9 cars and 3 trailers, many of which I have built myself so I know what I am looking at. He was actually correct when he said the shackles on my trailer were blown out. I asked him how much everything was going to cost me. He said "$45 per shackle and probably a couple hundred in labor." Sure dude, no problem. Let me know when it's done. Couple hours pass by and he finishes up with the trailer. I go into his office and pay and my invoice comes out to around $1200. I called him out on it and he said "no the shackles were $450 per side." Coincidentally this was about the same time his brother comes into his office with a revolver in his pocket, so I didn't want any sort of confrontation being that far away from home. I pulled up the same parts he put on the my trailer online, as to which they sold for around $280 for the pair. He made up lie after lie after lie about the parts. I simply went on my way, called my bank and told them about the scam and they refunded me the money. Steer way clear of this place, and especially Joe. Other review say this station has been here for 20 years, completely untrue......Must be the store owner posting a bogus review. The tire shop next door is a scam shop, always over at the texaco trying to sell you overpriced parts for your vehicles you don't need.
