I wondered what happened. The review where I gave 5 stars was for taste of Teton, the owners before this Teton house. The history of the built still remains and that's cool. The game area down stairs and the bar are good. The food upstairs left a lot to be desired. I came here for my birthday with 6 people and everyone said the food was just ok. The bartender didn't know how to make a snakebite and I had to show her on google. My friends steak was burnt. My fish was ok but not great. My husband barely touched his pasta. The salad and soup came out with the meal and everyone got their food st different times. The experience was ok but not awesome like it was with previous owners. New name , new management and new chef. Tried Taste of Teton tonight in Blackfoot and loved it. Great atmosphere and super friendly staff. We started with the corn sticks and fried green tomatoes--both were fantastic. For mains we had the rockfish and chicken piccata, and finished with the chocolate cake. I tried to give this place a chance. I am an advocate for local. However, I have been here a couple times now. One time do lunch and the other dinner. Both times lacked service. The staff was friendly but didn't really check on us or offer water refills. Last night we had prime rib. The menu says a gentleman cut and a lady cut. We got charged for gentleman cuts. We both had salads and the salad came out maybe a minute prior to the meal. We requested extra rolls, had to request more than once. Prime rib was okay. But mashed potatoes were lumpy and not very warm. The best thing about the meal was the Brussel sprouts. For $100 meal. I expect, prompt servers, warm food and time in between my salad and main course. I hope it gets better as Blackfoot NEEDS a nice steak house. Wishing you success. read more

We were there last Saturday evening. We were a group of 10. We sat downstairs. It took a long time to get our drinks and our food. We weren't checked on very often. We felt like they forgot about us. The majority of our meals were served lukewarm and cold. Mashed potatoes were hard and cold. French fries were cold and mushy. The steal was tough. In all, I would avoid this place. I would rather of spent my money on a good meal. Oh, and 1 person in our group got sick from the cordoneblue. Not good. read more

Now called "Taste of Teton" (formally Teton House in Blackfoot) If i could give less then 1 star I would. Just drove 35 miles to have my anniversary dinner at Taste of Teton in Blackfoot. We both ordered the NY Strip Steak (medium rare) with onions and mushroom and demiglaze. We also both chose the Baked Potato for the side. I can say without a doubt, this was the absolute WORST dining experiences I have EVER had. Where to start.... The medium rare steak had NO pink in the middle, which was surprising because the steak was COLD. The onions and mushrooms....well, the onion was Red Onion and it was RAW onion. Who the hell serves RAW onion on steak (and charges for it!!) The baked potato was under cooked and so could it wouldn't melt butter. How can you not know how to make a baked potato IN THE FAMOUS POTATO state? Normally, we would just eat it and not come back but the waitress asked how it was...so i expressed my disappointment. She wanted to tell the manager. The "manager" ( i use that term loosely) offered to take 25% off our bill. The "manager" didn't even come to our table after we expressed disappointment. So, Taste of Teton....of should i say complete tasteless crap, thank you for ruining what was supposed to be a special night for our 32nd anniversary. The Cook needs to be fired because they have no idea how to cook (let alone a $40 steak). The Manager (again, i use that term loosely) needs to be FIRED. They have no business managing a restaurant. So I have always liked this place. But it is plaques by the same problems over and over again. They have nice steaks and specials but they very rarely have them available. They advertise these great steaks but never actually have them available to actually serve. So they attract you in and then pull a bait and switch. I am not opposed to paying higher prices to get a good steak. But when you say you have something then dont actually have it. This tends to stop people from coming back. They seat more people than they have staff for which leads to long wait times for the food they actually do have. Beware if you come here and want a good steak. They likely do not have it and you will wait a long time to be told they don't actually have it. Very disappointed that this continues to plaque this restaurant. Some day a owner will take it over and understand how to run it. read more

My first experience with this location not a good one. First of all we stood at the front door inside for at least 10 minutes before anyone even knew we were standing there. Second after ordering are dinner 2 of 3 plates were delivered cold. 1 was warm. We ordered seafood linguine. . 2 plates were sent back to remake. Both the same plates came back oily. 1 in my party got sick from to much oil. Waiter never came back to even see if are food was good. Bad experience all the way around. I will not recommend to anyone. Sorry. But it is what it is. Service was poor to say the least. No one in the place at the time and still poor service and poor food prep. No excuse for that! Period.
