Prime rib quesadilla
Karen A.

This review is for the Cottonwood Restaurant inside the casino. We stopped here to eat lunch because we were driving by and it looked like a really nice building. It was pretty nice both inside and out! We sat down near the window and had very nice views of the mountains. I ordered a cobb salad, which was great!! Beautiful bacon crumbles, blue cheese, avocado, turkey slices, tomatoes, and romaine. It was as it should be. Terrific and fresh! Hubs ordered a prime rib quesadilla. It was the best quesadilla he has ever had. Really. The restaurant was clean, comfortable, looked new, and maybe most importantly, was away from casino noise. There is also an outdoor patio (with views) which would allow you to completely escape casino noise. Our service was friendly and efficient. And the prices were the lowest I've seen in a long time. If you haven't considered going to a casino to eat, now is the time. It was pretty amazing.

We went for the Friday night seafood (Crab legs) and it did not disappoint. First off, the Casino was very clean and did not smell of smoke (Maybe we got lucky). The wait staff were so friendly and professional and the food was amazing. The best part was the views surrounding the Casino. It was so picturesque and the sunset was simply gorgeous. If anybody has a bad review for this establishment, they're crazy. Enjoy the pics!

Excellent little gem of a casino, this place is so picturesque and better than the other casinos in the SF area. The chef was nice and his restaurant had great food, especially at happy hour prices. The games were modern and there are progressives. In the afternoons, they have hot seat giveaways of various prizes. It's clean airy open and well-ventilated. The landscaping is preened with a tweezer and looks beautiful. The food, drinks, views, kind staff make this a worthwhile drive and pass time.

Gambler Curious, I enjoy leaving casinos with as much money I arrived with. Tesuque's bar opens late in the afternoon, making it especially easy to meet this goal. Very clean men's washroom sign greeted me, "No Group Gatherings!"...huh? I did not hang out long enough to discover what this means. In the remarkably unlikely event Sobriety causes me to hand money to one armed bandit, there are some great views here.

ATMOSPHERE & CLEANLINESS REVIEW: I've never reviewed a casino however this one had all the aesthetics and is very attractive. The grounds are kept well and there is plenty of parking. I visited during the week, so parking wasn't an issue. The inside of the casino is very clean and surprisingly not loud. It also is very spacious from the perspective that the slot machines are adequately spaced out. I didn't get the feeling of congestion at all as I walked through the casino floor. The men's restroom was very clean and had plenty of paper hand towels. The patio has breathtaking views of the hillside. It is very beautiful and picturesque. There is plenty of seating and lounging space on the patio. Overall a very low-key casino and a much more subdued level of liveliness compared to other larger casino brands that we're familiar with. I will visit again if I am ever in the Santa Fe area.

Our room was wonderful and view was nice. Had been provided a digital key, so never had to go to the front desk for any reason. Since we were arriving early our room was ready and we didn't have to pay for early check in which was wonderful. Room was spacious and nicely furnished. Balcony faced the the backside of the building, so we had a view of the pool and a balcony attraction of a gorgeous sunset plus the dusk deco surrounding the building with warm lights that all combined looked absolutely stunning as the sun went down. Did not utilize the casino, did have dinner at one of thier restaurants. Turquoise Bar & Grill ( see my review). There's a coffee/cafe near the lobby area Also, a big gift shop with lots of local native art, and other appealing merchandise that fitting for that area. Stayed only one night and enjoyed it. We were provided complementary bottled water in our room- along with coffee offerings, small fridge & ice bucket. Free parking here for hotel guest too! We really enjoyed our stay! I booked two rooms on the same reservation and when we arrived the young lady said she only saw one room. I told her one was booked with points but they were the same reservation. Nope. She asked for a confirmation number. I gave it to her and she said that's the one she already has. Well there was only one confirmation number because the two rooms were booked under the same reservation. I ended up having to check in using the app, which clearly showed two rooms had been booked. I asked for the rooms to be as close together as possible and she literally put us as far from one another as possible. So that wasn't a great start and then the rooms needing some TLC didn't help this review. For example, the shower in one of the rooms drained at a snail's pace. Like seriously ... it took nearly an hour. The toilet ran constantly in the other room. The rooms were quiet though and had all that one would want / need in a hotel room.

With multiple on-site restaurants, a casino, gym, pool, candy shops--you name it, everything was extremely accommodating and made for a relaxing, fun experience. One downside: there weren't enough luggage carts. We had one upon check in, not at check out. Not the end of the world, but something to be aware of. The bigger issue was the state of the balcony. Right outside our sliding glass door was what I can only describe as a "door mat" of bird poop. When we looked up, we saw several swallows' nests above the balcony. While we weren't attacked or anything, it was pretty gross and made it impossible to enjoy the balcony during our stay. Despite that, the overall experience was still fantastic. If management addressed the bird situation and increased the number of luggage carts, this place would be close to perfect. Still highly recommend it for anyone visiting Santa Fe!

This was not explained/disclosed when we booked the room...not off to a great start. Our suite included a kitchenette with a full size fridge and basic pots/pans/dishes. It also had a small table with 2 chairs, 2 queen beds, and a sofa bed. The bed and pillows were not comfortable at all. The bedroom and living room each had their own thermostats, which was convenient. I used the washateria one night. There are 2 washers and 2 dryers. You can get a roll of quarters from the front desk. The washers are quick - 30 minutes, but the dryers take a bit longer - 75 minutes. Each load was $3. Breakfast is included with your stay and is the standard continental breakfast - eggs, sausage, bagels, toast, fruit, yogurt, waffles, etc. I've had worst stays elsewhere, but I've also had much better stays at other locations, so I'm rating this right in the middle as a 3.

Louie was easy to work with and glad that you came in town to visit. The setup Luxx has for parking is worth it. Inside your room the decor reflects the brown and tan colors of the desert. The all-natural animal print was almost a bit too African (ever see a zebra in the New Mexican desert?) But hey, it works. I was staying in this room alone, so I was a bit freaked out. When he (obviously) failed to enter my room, he went around the back and tried to enter through the window!!! My room was on the first floor, facing the backyard sitting area (where there are seats, fountains, a tub). The guest was probably drunk and forgot which room was his, but it was still scary to have him try to enter my room twice. I don't necessarily blame Luxx for this issue, but when I raised this at check-out the next day, the man at the counter laughed and said something along the lines that he'd have better luck next time. Wtf -- Even if we weren't in this period of #metoo and #imwithher, I never want the hotel employee to joke about my room being broken into. Another thing is that I booked the Luxx through Booking.com and was sent a reservation confirmation with the final price. When I checked my credit card, there was a discrepancy. It wasn't much, but still odd that they charged me more than they said they would. I tried calling, I left a couple of voicemails -- no response. Bottom-line: Find somewhere else to stay.
