This review is based on my experience trying to purchase tickets on line. I don't consider myself…read morecompletely technologically challenged but I had a nightmare of a time trying to purchase tickets to the Gay Men's Chorus for tomorrow evening. I wasn't sure if I already had an "account" with the theater so I tried opening one. Had to identify the pictures with motorcycles. I clicked on a wrong square by mistake. Then had to identify all the squares with things made by humans. So that got me to the log in screen. "That email is already associated with an account" Tried logging in with that email but didn't remember the password (it's been years). "Incorrect password. Create new password." Tried creating a new password. "Password must be at least 13 characters, an upper case and lower case and a number and a symbol. Typed it in. Kept getting incorrect password message. There was no little eyeball to click on to see what I was doing wrong. Closed the screen. Had to start over again. "Select the squares with images similar to the one at the top" I selected all the basketballs. Was that blurry squirrel holding a basketball or is he holding an acorn? It must be an acorn. Wrong. "Select the squares with images similar to the one at the top" Ah, the squirrels again. I got this. So I clicked on all the pictures of basketballs and squirrels with basketballs. "Choose a new password" I typed in very carefully, then realized the caps lock was on. WELL IF YOU TICKET PEOPLE HAD PUT A WAY FOR ME TO ACTUALLY SEE WHAT I WAS TYPING I WOULD HAVE CAUGHT THE CAPS LOCK!!! For your security, an eight digit security code will be sent to the email address you supplied. No email. Went back to the previous screen. Clicked on send code again. Two emails arrived with codes. Entered the newest code. "Welcome to your account." Meanwhile other windows are popping up asking if I want to save this username and password. Clicked them away. Not now. So I navigated to the show I wanted to buy tickets for and finally got to where I could select our seats. But the thingy went round and round and round - no seat selection screen. Clicked on the back button. "Click here and we will assign the best available seats." Click. Click to view price. Click to continue. Click to view cart. Where is the pay now? Went back to previous screen to see if I missed something. Selected the tickets again. "Continue" Now I have selected 4 tickets instead of 2. Delete 2 tickets. Continue to cart. Two tickets plus fees. OK. Continue to check out. Enter credit card information. Did something wrong. Credit card info disappeared. Entered credit card again. (I'm sure there was another security code but I really can't remember as I was so angry and frustrated.) Continue. Order Confirmation: Showed customer number etc. Then this note: If you selected digital tickets as your delivery method (default option) you can access your tickets within minutes after purchasing them at (website) Log in with the same email and password you use for (the theater) account, or you can request a one time access code via email. From there you can share tickets with your guests and save the tickets to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. I DON'T HAVE APPLE WALLET OR GOOGLE WALLET! I went to the ticket website to access my tickets and viewed the tickets. They had all the info except a QR Code and this Note: Your refreshing QR code will display at 5:30 PM on Sat, June 20, 2026. DISPLAY WHERE? I AM NOT GOING TO TRY TO ACCESS MY ACCOUNT ON MY PHONE! I WILL BE AT DINNER AT 5:30 AND WON'T HAVE MY COMPUTER AND PRINTER. I printed EVERYTHING out (5 yes FIVE pages but are any of them valid tickets? I doubt it.) By this point I had cursed, swore, screamed and yelled so loud they could have heard me across town. It was more than an hour trying to buy two tickets. NEVER AGAIN. I tried calling the Box Office to make sure I could use my receipt and print outs, but of course they were closed for the holiday. I can go on other websites, select an item, place it in the cart, choose "Pay Now", enter my credit card and I'm DONE. No pictures of motorcycles, or basketballs, or squirrels holding basketballs that look like acorns, no security codes, no QR codes no Apple Wallets or Google Wallets. This whole process was ridiculous and a waste of time. And dare I say "PRETENTIOUS".

Attended the 100th Annivesary burning this weekend. We have attended over the past years but this…read moretime was just not well planned. There were just too many people because of the 100th year and attendance should of been limited for safety. We essentially were packed in like sardines and could not move. The food lines were outrageous, and the limited number of portable toilets with limited lighted was unacceptable. The 2nd security screening made entry slow and backed up. There was one improvement and positive. The drone shows added this year were a great addition to the fireworks. Overall, we were disappointed at 2024s burning.

I was uncomfortable, not scared, but if a fire had started in this dry New Mexican land or a crowd stampede, Id been very frightened. What used to be a family event is now quite commercialize, what used to be 20,000 people is now 50,000. I wish I could enjoy the Zozobra of the past-it sounded so much better.

What a treat to be able to see such gorgeous contemporary ballet choreography that is both…read moreaccessible and artful. I saw their mixed A program which was three pieces, each one unique and well executed. I felt that the tickets were so under priced that after giving a standing ovation, I wanted to go and double what I had paid for my second row seats. My eyes were watering as I tried not to blink for a moment of the show. Costumes, lighting and score were all up to snuff. The theatre itself is a treat, as is people watching. Not to be missed!

This is the place for the absolute best classical ballet training in town. Not a place for razz…read morematazz and sequins galore in the recital - this is the real deal for top notch training. The dancers trained here go on to have professional dance careers. They tend to get into the most competitive dance programs in the country, and often with scholarships as well. Gisela and Jefferson are really caring and inspiring. Incidenally, they also have classes for the really young and for those who just want to have fun dancing.

However, if you are interested in seeing some of the best performers, do make haste to see the beautiful and talented La Emi -the founder of EmiArteFlamenco - and her fellow dancers. La Emi started dancing at the age of four - most of the best dancers do - and has studied with the famous Maria Benitez Institute for Spanish Arts (ISA) and continues to do so - as well as serve as an instructor. The very amazing Maria Benitez herself was a mentor to La Emi. By now, you know where this is going. So what all this means is if you want to be enchanted, if you want the rhythm of life to touch your soul, and if you want to be transported to another time and perhaps outside of yourself, make time to see one of these amazing Flamenco performances. La Emi collaborates with some of the most talented, experienced and disciplined dancers and her shows are always appropriate for all ages: because beauty is not to be missed whether your 2 or 102. We called them and they were extremely gracious hosts. They even set up an after performance talk with the cast and director for our students! Theater Grottesco is an irreverent theater group that creates humorous, complex performances that are visually fascinating to watch. We saw their take on on Shakespeare's 12th Night. Grottesco is must. I highly recommend attending a performance and if you are a HS English, Theater or Art teacher, take your kids to a performance!

I liked how each building had the separate tastings that included not only whiskey but other spirits, as well as mixed drinks for purchase. A friend and I got there at the beginning and were able to take advantage of light crowds and short lines. As the day wore on, lines definitely got longer. Entertainment was fun, with a live band and some hokey cowboy shootouts. Event goers also got some food that was good, if a little sparse. There was also a food truck for those seeking other things to eat. I would change a couple of things for next year. Figure out a more consistent line cue for the tastings vs. going to buy a drink. In some buildings, you had to go through the tasting line even if you simply wanted to buy a drink or a bottle. This was pretty awful when the lines were long. Also, while the food was pretty good, it could have been done a bit better, more of a presentation. There should also be more activities, give people a reason to stick around longer. Frankly, we were pretty much done with everything after the first couple of hours. I'm sure for those who paid for tickets, the expectation is to get the most out of the event. Lastly, because the event is at a historic movie ranch, an activity should really beefy that aspect up, such as walking tours of the property. Some of the buildings had signs that talked about some movies/programs that had been filmed there, but it wasn't much info. All in all, though, I was appreciative of getting to attend such a unique event.

The Bonanza…read moreCreek Movie Ranch was on our list to visit and we were so excited to make that happen, especially being able to enjoy some local spirits. The set up was nice in that the vendors had locations in the set buildings. We got there at the very beginning and had no problems moving in and out of the buildings tasting the various products. By about 2 hours into the event, it was more crowded and lines formed into the buildings for the tastes. Even if you are not a whiskey fan, there was wine and some liqueurs offered along with a fill bar in the Saloon. We spent about 4 hours there and enjoyed the complementary lunch, which was outstanding, the tastings, a couple of cocktails (for cost) and then the fun gun fight. The whole event was great and we can't wait for next year.
