Every time I am in town, I come here for lunch. When i got to bbq states, i always have bbq. . The brisket is the best I have ever tasted. It taste like premium meat, smoked slow and low, with great flavor. Don't put bbq sauce on it till you taste the smoke flavor. Texas, Carolinas, Georgia... I always try the brisket. I just had the best BBQ I've had in ages. I've been to many BBQ places over the past year, but none even come close to this one. They go all out with their dishes and sauce. It was incredible. I'll be getting my hands on the spicy sauce next time. The service was lovely, and they let me try their pulled pork after I ordered the brisket. The bass inside the restaurant was solid as well. We had a wonderful experience here and were given some great recommendations. You can't go wrong with Brown's chicken and a rock solid BBQ selection all under one roof. The bourbon BBQ sauce was the winner. Brisket was everyone's favorite though they had sold through the ribs so maybe we didn't get to try the best. read more

This place is the SH*T!!! The catfish was fried to perfection and the turkey tips melt in your mouth. The fried cabbage and black eyed peas were yummy. Website is down but the BBQ is still up... Wed-Sat "until they run out". I am a BBQ fan raised on Southern 'cue and therefore picky. These guys were pretty good. Brisket was well-crusted, moist, and tender and pulled part with fingers. Pulled pork was slightly tangy, crusted, and went great with their bourbon sauce (there are four). Baked beans were a standout. Corn fritters not overly breaded and nice and fluffy. Mac and cheese was meh, slaw was OK. Well worth grabbing a pound or two for a hungry family. Food is amazing. I pick up every week, maybe twice. The service is the issue. Staff & Jeff are wonderful, but 4 out of 10 orders are wrong. Last night picked up for my sons family to try. Ordered 2 lbs Brisket, 1 large Mash potato & 1 large Mac Cheese. I got. 1 lb Brisket, 1 lb pulled pork. 4 Baby back ribs (4 Bones), 1 large Mac, 1 small Mac, 1 small beans and 1 mashed potatoes. read more

Wow what a first time experience....walking in the door it was clear we were new and the man behind the counter gave us samples immediately. The bacon ends were to die for, the brisket was just as good. We also got pulled pork which was a bit dry but with the bbq sauce all was well. Our sides- corn fritters, a bit sweeter than a hush puppy, both of us liked them. Mashed potatoes and gravy- real potatoes and good gravy....loved loved these. The red bean and rice had a bit of a bite and was the one thing we didn't finish. I'm used to Popeyes so that's probably the reason we didn't go for those. This was an accidental find. The restaurant next door was asking me to wait 30 minutes for service due to being short handed and I didn't want to wait. Test Kitchen is only open for the drive through right now and I saw that they had a line of cars and offered brisket on Saturdays, till it runs out. I got in line and waited. It was a slow moving line but the food was totally worth it. I ordered brisket, pulled pork and rib tips. Got an assortment of sauces. On a whim I ordered the peach cobbler which was the only disappointment for the meal. I took everything home and everyone loved the meats. Tender and juicy. I will be back but I won't order the peach cobbler. read more

Rib tips- Flavor: 3/5 not a lot of seasoning by itself. Texture: 4/5 cooked really well. Almost fall off the bone but tender Red beans/rice- 2/5 more seasoning BBQ Sauce- 7/5 outstanding! Glad they have different levels of heat too. Service was phenomenal! Definitely coming back to try more. Lastly they serve different things on different days which states on the menu. read more

Best kept secret in North suburbs. Drive thru only for BBQ of very high quality. Thur thru Sun 11-8pm. There are a couple of tables outside you can eat at. Serve mainly St Louis style ribs (Sat) Catfish Sat/Sun) and Rib tips, but the sign says Brisket coming soon! Good southern style sides like Cabbage and Black eyed peas. You can also get good ole Browns chicken as an accompaniment. Come 'Test' it out but be prepared for a long line of cars but it moves fast. read more

The best BBQ I've ever had ! Brisket was melt away tender and smoked to perfection. This was a chance find as we live about 50 mins away but we are definitely coming back!! SO GOOD! The brisket is so juicy is drips and just melts away in your mouth. Doesn't even need the AMAZING BBQ SAUCE they have. Still try it with both. We went back through the drive thru to get another couple pounds for home. Pulled pork is delicious, sides are amazing, sweet tea is excellent, cornbread is off the hook..what else you want from a BBQ spot? I live 45 minutes away in the northwest suburbs but will be back. Worth the drive, best bbq I've had since I did bbq competitions work with a bbq pit master. Idk if this is coming to every browns location but I hope so! read more

BBQ is an art form and this place is very good! I would say the best in the area and I've tried them all. I am a picky rib tip eater and have specific taste profile and these ribs hit the spot. I bought 2 lbs for 2 people thinking it would be enough and my husband almost ate all of them before even prepping the dinner plate. We had the mild sauce which was very tasty. Honestly though, you could eat the meat by itself. Not overly smoky or peppery. Seasoned just right with a light smoke flavor. What don't I like - you can only get the rib tips on Fridays! Hoping this place gets to the point they can offer more often. Make sure to go early, they will run out. I have pulled up at 7pm and they were out. Today I went at 4pm and was good. Can't wait for the fried catfish in 2021! read more
