Car store in the mall second floor
John C.

I am not sure if I am impressed with the strength of the mall to have 3 Tesla's on the second floor or the lightness of three Tesla's to be on the second floor. Either way I find it funny for a car dealer/showroom to be at a mall. If I want a test drive can I drive in the mall? Haha.

Tesla at International Plaza and Bay Street in Tampa is a great place to get information and look at Tesla vehicles in person. It is cool to be able to look at the specifications and Tesla over the cars. The staff here is very knowledgeable and available to answer any questions you may have.

I have given them more stars (see orginal review below) Apparently they have a fleet of test drive vehicles in the mall garage and those shiny charging units. The unit would like very nice in my garage by the way. They also had a model X in the showroom today. I first test drove the model S 60, impressive car. After talking with the saleperson for a while he quickly figured out I was a gear head and never owned an automatic car. He too always drove a manual until he got a Tesla so he took it upon himseld to convert me. He let me drive the Model S P100D, their top of the line vehicle with 700HP and 1000 torque. We drove it to the airport test track (TopGear anyone) and let me go at it. I put it in ludicrous mode (yes this model comes standard with ludicrous mode) and I put it in launch mode; 0-60 in less than 3 seconds feels soooooo cool! Anyway, the sales people there are super friendly and they have an intimate knowledge of the vehicles. If you ever wanted to test drive one of these, make an appointment and go for it. Old Review: 3.0 Stars for this Tesla showroom What I liked; 1. It was nice and shiny in the store. 2. Salespeople were very friendly and knowledgeable - I asked a few tricky questions 3. Let you play with all the knobs and buttons in the cars, open the hood and let you crawl all over the interior. 4. They are not pushy at all. What I did not like; 1. It's in a mall - don't really like going to malls 2. They only had two cars (same model) Model S 75 and Model S 90 - this is the same exact car expect one has more battery capacity. The did not have the Model X - SUV. 3.They don't let you test drive in the mall, even though the store is in the mall. The corridors of the mall are plenty wide enough for a drive but there are all those pesky people walking around. But hey, the car is equipped with a horn which is standard equipment. (You actually have to make an appointment to test drive - outside the mall) 4. They did not have the charging unit on display - I would have liked to see what it looks like in person to see if it matched the décor of my garage. 5. They don't have a comfy sitting area with free booze, snacks and coffee like all the other high end dealerships. I like to have free coffee when I'm spending that much on a car. 6. They also do not have a cheesy gift shop with the Tesla brand emblazoned over keychains, T-shirts, baseball caps, coffee mugs and stuffed teddy bears. How are they going to give me my free baseball cap and upgraded car mats if I decide to actually buy one of these cars? Anyway, I made an appointment for a test drive next week. Will let you know how it goes.

This dealership operates with a level of dishonesty and unprofessionalism that warrants a warning…read more I manage everything online because my time is valuable, and I don't have the patience for dealership games. I asked for an out‑the‑door price with every fee and tax listed. The very first red flag was that they didn't even list the correct vehicle price on the invoice; they added an extra $250 over the website price. I pointed it out, but they corrected nothing. Since the numbers were close to what I expected, I agreed to come in for a test drive. When I arrived, I had a different salesperson than the one I had been emailing. The one I was emailing was not working. I reminded the new salesperson again that the price on the invoice was wrong, but I said we could sort it out after the test drive. I'm a cash buyer, and I came prepared with an auto‑draft check and cash to cover the difference. That's when the classic bait‑and‑switch routine kicked in, something that should be illegal. After the test drive, the salesperson "corrected" the invoice, only to return with a higher price after adding a $2,999 "protection package." I told him I wasn't paying for an unnecessary addition for a 2024 Honda with 8,000 miles. It's pure profit padding, nothing more. He asked what price I needed to be at, and I told him: $1,400 less than their asking price, without the protection package. I also mentioned I had a trade‑in to help close the gap. They evaluated my trade and returned yet another invoice, still with the protection package added. Now they tacked on an extra "plate transfer tax," which is absurd because I'm already paying the DMV/registration fees. I asked again for both charges to be removed, and we were still close to making a deal. Then the sales manager came over with the usual scripted pitch about how the car is "worth more," but they're "selling it for less," and that the protection package is mandatory. I told him plainly that the protection package was never disclosed on the original invoice, the one that got me in the door. He refused to remove it. At that point, the car was $3,000 more than I was willing to pay. If they had been honest from the beginning and listed this unnecessary add‑on upfront, I would never have wasted my time driving to the dealership. The entire experience was a bait‑and‑switch operation designed to trap customers into paying thousands more than advertised. Completely unprofessional, completely dishonest, and absolutely not worth your time.

Therefore, I declined the call. I got a text, again, from Edwin. I replied to the thread by asking for 3 things: the vehicle's carfax, the invoice with info on the car and an itemized list of the out the door price. All things I ask for before I step foot in a dealership. Edwin stated that he cannot give me a price over text... wrong... he wouldn't do it. Stay away from these kinds of dealerships that are not transparent. I then asked for a manager to contact me... he replied with the dealership's number and said to ask for Edwin... he's a sales rep, not a manager. When I told him HE was Edwin, crickets... like I said, stay away from non-transparent dealers. UPDATE: He did eventually reply and confirmed he was Edwin folled up with, "Tell you what. Bring me all those breakdown prices after shopping around and let see what I can do for you". A GOOD dealership doesn't do this. They provide the seller with clear, transparent information and if they have the best price and a TRUSTWORTHY sales team, they get the sale. I have a 789 credit score, preapproved through my credit union... I am ready to go with a GOOD dealer... not this one.

In August I found a vehicle on Ebay that was being auctioned by Mirabella Motors. I placed a bid…read morehowever the auction never met its reserve so the auction ended without a winner. When I saw they added the vehicle back for sale I got in touch with Tony Mirabella. He let me know he lowered the reserve and that If I wanted the vehicle I could send him a deposit and he would close the auction. Before I sent the deposit I expressed some concern since I was unable to go and see the vehicle in person. On the phone Tony went out of his way to assure me he was a "reputable dealer" and that I would be "happy with the vehicle". I thought it prudent to send him a quick email which spelled out that if the vehicle didn't match the description that I would receive my deposit back within 30 days. After sending the deposit I immediately scheduled an independent inspector to go and check out the vehicle. Tony passed me off to another employee to get the inspection scheduled and after a couple of weeks they were able to retrieve the vehicle from another auction and make it available for inspection. The inspector was to review paint, interior, and quality of maintenance. They also perform a test drive however for some reason that day the vehicle wasn't able to be driven. In any case the inspection report came back with photos and a narrative that indicated poor color match and door jam and fender mis alignment. An airbox that was stuffed with leaves and greasy hand prints on the interior door (Light Gray Interior). When I got back in touch with Tony to let him know I would like my deposit back he initially wasn't available. Then after several weeks he was "slammed since getting home" and that he would "get to it next week". After a week or so I followed up again and he asked me the address where to send the refund. After another week or so I followed up again and he asked for a copy of the inspection report. After another week or so and on regular intervals I've followed up with him and their office through email, text, and phone calls. I have been ducked and dodged with no answers except a request to not leave a negative review and "I'll follow up with Tony". My deposit was on the magnitude of thousands of dollars which as of now it seems I'll have to file a small claims suit in order to recoup. Since i'm out of state I'll have to pay an attorney to stand on my behalf. Long story short, I would exercise caution if you plan to purchase a vehicle from them. Your experience may vary but after some research I've found this may be a typical experience.

Never did they ever fix anything 100% the first time. Truck was damaged 2X out of the 12 times it was there. Yes 12! It was damaged as we did the paperwork and they brought it to the front. Not one said a word about it until I noticed it. Rats next in the intake, no coolant in the overflow tank, hood trim fell off when I opened the hood, bad battery and transmission was acting up. Excuses were well trucks sit around (rats nest). Next it was it's just a radiator cap (ended up being a bad water pump). They the transmission was fine but after it being there 3 times some finally grew a pair and replaced the entire transmission and cooler. Battery was replaced about the 5th time was there. Let's not forget the dead rodent smell. We noticed that the day after we brought it home (hot outside). They said they couldn't smell anything. Yep that's when I found the rats nest. Kinda related don't ya think. An extreme amount of unprofessionalism and just bold face lies. When Jerry Ulm actually owned this dealership it was great. Morgan auto group apparently doesn't care.
