We are so lucky to have the International Crane Foundation in Wisconsin. Home to the most amount of…read morecrane species in the world! The park is accessible to all with wide, cement pathways. For those wanting to go on trails, they also offer loops off their paths. There are a few covered areas for viewing the cranes and lots of areas to sit and observe the cranes. Admission is $12 or you could buy an annual pass. They have a video you can watch first about their work prior to checking out the cranes. This is a great place to spend a morning, afternoon or even the whole day.

It's not exactly like a zoo either but it does have all the crane species here and the experiences feel up close and personal. Me and my wife came here to experience this place since this is kind of part of our Wisconsin Dells visit. The admission fee is fair for what you purchase. What I like about this place compared to your typical Zoo is that it's not full of people at all. There's limited parking and a money goes towards helping the cranes and helping their population grow. There's a lot to learn about the rich history of this species also there are plenty of short Trails too there's not any concession stands for food here at all which isn't a big deal at all either it's not a place that you need to check on every exhibit it's probably a hour hour to a hour and a half visit typically. They even have a little movie theater and a gift shop as well. The bathrooms are also very clean this place is a unique find so give this place a visit if you have the time

Front desk was able to squeeze us in and we were able to check in earlier. Breakfast was good actually, they have decent varieties of food.

I woke up shortly before 5:00 a.m. absolutely ravenous, so I stepped out to the vending machine to…read moregrab a snack. When I returned to my room, my key card suddenly wouldn't open the door. I figured, "This is fine. I'll just go down to the front desk." Unfortunately, nobody was there. I called the front desk number and used the call button, but got no response. I spoke with the ladies preparing breakfast, who had no idea where the front desk staff were. To their credit, they went above and beyond trying to help, checking multiple locations to find someone. Unfortunately, they had no luck either. I ended up waiting until approximately 6:15 a.m., when Ihana (I'm not sure of the correct spelling) finally returned to work. By that point, I had been locked out of my room for roughly an hour and a half and was understandably pretty frustrated. I explained what had happened and how long I had been waiting, but received no apology. She told me the key-card system was down and offered to let me use her card, as long as I promised to return it immediately after getting into my room. I asked if she could simply walk up with me and let me into my room, which seemed like a reasonable request given that the front desk had been unattended for the previous 90 minutes. She responded with a heavy sigh and came upstairs, but continued watching a show on her phone the entire time. I explained that I was extremely unhappy with how the morning had gone, and her response was essentially a shrug. The technical problem itself is understandable. Systems fail. What is not understandable is having nobody available at the front desk for that long, having no apparent backup procedure, and then showing virtually no concern for a guest who has been locked out of their room for 90 minutes. The breakfast staff were wonderful and genuinely tried to help, and I appreciate their efforts. Unfortunately, the front-desk experience completely overshadowed that kindness. I made sure to get the employee's name and the time, as I understand management was coming in that morning. After this experience, however, I have no intention of staying here again. Horrible service and an unacceptable way to treat a guest.
