12 Tesla charging stalls - at least 4 open the entire time we were there
    Stan C.

Driving up the coast from LA to Nipomo and back in the same day. No way I had enough charge to make the trip on my charge from home. Closest convenient supercharger to Nipomo is the one in Goleta. Just a very easy short distance from the freeway, 12 charging stalls right near the entrance to the shopping center so super easy to find. The shopping mall has at least 2 chain restaurants and a bunch of local small eateries with lots of outdoor tables (Covid compliant) all very close to the charging area. Clean public bathrooms next to the Starbucks (also very near the chargers). Around noon on a Wednesday, at least 5 open stalls the entire time we were there.

Pros: 1. Chargers available when I went 2. Easy to find and a decent location 3. Fast 250 kw charger 4. Lots of stores nearby to get food or pass the time - especially the COSTCO next door! Cons: 1. The first two chargers I tried were not working. The 3rd one I tried worked but it was the last available space. Notes: 1. Next to Costco

It's a college town so everything is nearby. The rooms are clean and smell like they're brand new. The ambiance is beautiful but the pricing is a bit high although it's the same with anywhere you try to stay around here. With limited rooms around the city prices tend to stay higher than any other city hotels. It is a newer hotel so they are able to charge a premium over others. It does have a nice pool and a gym as well. Plenty of parking but costs $15 a day. They also have Tesla EV slow chargers on the property.

The stay was passable, but there were too many red flags, especially for the price. On the surface…read morethings looked clean, but then I saw the shower head, sink stopper, and bathtub stopper were really gross which left a bad taste in my mouth (figuratively). The sink was clogged, needing multiple minutes to drain. The bathroom has no vent, which is intentional, but I can't imagine why - it smelled every time someone did number 2. The hand lotion smelled nice. The blankets were not thick enough for the weather and kinda rough. But the decorations in the hallway and room were nice; some beautiful photos of the town scenery. Rooms were tidy and cleaned after one night. Free bottled water. There was some construction going on but we weren't affected by it at all. The breakfast wasn't great - we paid for complimentary breakfast, but we only got one meal ticket for two days for some reason; though they gave us the second one when we asked. They gave you huge portions at the counter, but the eggs and potatoes were tasteless; fortunately rescued by the hot sauce they had. The bacon was too dry and sausages too salty. I'm not very picky so it wasn't a big deal, but definitely not a plus. And tip wasn't included, you need to pay tip on top of the strongly advertised "complimentary breakfast." We weren't told or pressured to tip though, but I must be wondering if the staff are being paid a good wage if even the breakfast needs tip. And then to add insult to injury, when writing the tip and signing the pen ran out of ink. The gym was all right, with cables, benches, free weights, cardio machines, plenty of mirrors, towels, and water. Can't complain there. I didn't use the pool or conference room but they looked nice. Hearing about our bad experience, the clerk didn't charge us for parking (you need to put the guest placard in your car and are charged per night). Plenty of parking. Out of the 3 front desk clerks we met, two of them were nice and helpful. The other I would call bare minimum polite, Lastly, after having already driven two hours we realized a phone and charger were left at the hotel. They agreed to mail them to us at our expense, but didn't check with us all the details. We later realized the post offices were all closed and the earliest we could get the phone was in 2 days which would be after our flight already left. It's real lucky we realized and drove back to get the phone, no thanks to the staff, who would've sent it to us way too late without checking. Not a terrible experience but they could've done better.

The best thing about this restaurant is their fries! I never had fries quite like there fries. Their fries are so crispy and is one of the main reasons why we come here. I would usually rate this restaurant 5 stars but after this recent visit I am giving 4 stars. They raised their prices and were extremely disappointed they cut the fries portion in half. Especially since this was one of the best things about this restaurant. I have attached a photo of eating here at Jane's and Aug 2025 and coming back 4 months later to be severed fries that is half the size. They now put the fries in a fry container to make it seem like it's more fries but once you put it on the plate it's such a small amount of fries. The second reason why we come here is for the coconut cake. The cake is always moist never dry when we order the cake however sometimes it can be a hit or miss with how much cake you will actually get. Because sometimes if you order the cake you will get a slice that has more cream and frosting and not as much of a cake layer. Not to mention they raised the price to $14 for a single slice of cake?! Which is so expensive. $14 is almost like ordering half a cake. I really hope that Jane's Restaurant can consider making these changes because their fries and coconut cake is what makes this restaurant amazing Service -Staff is always friendly Note: -They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating -They are in the same plaza that has a few stores and other restaurants close by
