After calling a few tow truck companies i came apon Extreme Towing and Recovery. After a quick conversation, I was told someone would be there in 20 minutes, which he was, I would be taken care of right away, which I was, and the cost was reasonable compared to four other companies who told me if i paid cash they could give me a break. For the record the other four quotes were still double the price and in one case almosr 3 times the cost of companies in the immediate area. The driver was there within 20, very professional, had my Jeep on his truck in 15 minutes and had my car in my driveway in 20 minutes. They won't let my insurance rep see my car, they won't let an arbitrator see my car and they refuse to work within the confines of the law. They have held my plates and my car hostage for months. This is theft of my property and theft of NYS plates. When speaking to police ( the ones who called the tow) they said it was not their problem. So call your own town, never let the police do it, they are more than likely in bed with the tow companies.
