Rather than go through the entire ordeal I'll simply offer the following advice: Generally Alamo doesn't take you to a car and go over the exterior for damage. Your contract says, "if you see damage on your auto, it's your responsibility to go find the rental agent and ask to have it placed on your rental document", not verbatim but close. It was a long walk back to the counter so my brilliant daughter suggested I video tape the exterior just in case which I did. I'm sure you can sense where this all led to on my return. Thankfully I had the vido and Alamo dropped the claim. I strongly urge you to video your rental even if it's inspected by an agent. Also, do the same with your mileage. Trust me, it will pay off. Not just Alamo, but all rental companies.
