But good news, there are eateries like Texas Roadhouse, First Watch, Hibachi Express, Café Flore and more nearby all within a short walk.

As a lifetime diamond member, my husband was even able to check in a bit earlier than we expected. Staff has been very nice and accommodating throughout our stay, by the way. Friendly. Our room with its king size bed and sofa was large. We always take advantage of the in room fridge and microwave. It looks freshly painted and decorated. The large screen TV is huge! The bathroom has a tub shower combination with shower curtain. The toilet seat is small and low, however. Lots of fluffy towels. Breakfast is included. My least favorite combo was the meal the first day -- a whites only egg something with greasy sausage pieces that look like a hot dog chopped up. The second day was a bit better with an omelet and sausage patties. Luckily they have waffles, cold/hot cereal, and breads to toast... One positive was the free bottled water provided. This was a nice amenity. We chose the hotel for its convenience. We were in town to watch our great grandson play in an invitational baseball tournament. And the fields were not far away. I'd stay here again.

You order and pay at the counter. They give you a table number and bring your food to you. We both got the one scoop option of the Kelli -- which has almonds and dried cranberries mixed into the chicken salad. It comes with a choice of two sides. We both upgraded to soup for one of our sides. I got their chicken with wild rice soup which came out piping hot and was good (with a little added salt). He got the tomato bisque. There was a different extra charge for each soup. For our other side, I got their pasta salad and he got the sweet grapes. We have both had these before and knew we liked them. The plate also came with wrapped crackers, a pickle wedge, and a cookie. I'm so glad the chicken salad is not overly processed with too much mayonnaise. The staff was super friendly as we perused the menu, and my decision was easy once I saw that they have a seasonal fall menu featuring house made syrups. The carrot cake one immediately caught my eye, and I ordered a carrot cake latte. My husband got the classic pumpkin spice and yep, it was like drinking fall in a cup. It's so cool to see a gem like this reppin' the hometown. Also cool that they brew Bandit Coffee (out of St. Pete) which we are big fans of. He left, about an hour and half later, brought back a new keypad lock. Not the same brand I had which was curious. He said he couldn't find a Schlage lock. That should have tipped me off. Absolutely destroyed my lock. Door doesn't shut. I have a new hole in the side, and he didn't rekey the lock. $650.00??? For what? I think my dog could have done a better job. I literally have another locksmith fixing what this awful company did. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE SCAMMERS AND NOT QUALIFIED TO BOIL WATER
