She cleaned my teeth with the sonic cleaner but used her hand tools on the sensitive side. Throughout the cleaning, she asked if I was doing ok (but she wasn't annoying with it, just concerned about that sensitive tooth - which I greatly appreciated!) The dentist came in and visited with me, explained a few things, and helped me better understand things happening with my teeth. My husband was seen at the same time and I must say, this visit went very smooth - better than expected for both of us. After having gone to the same dentist since I was 12 years old, and then needing to find a new one (my usual dentist retired), it took us 2 tries, with this being the 3rd dentist for me and my family, but I believe we've found our forever dentist! 3rd times a charm for sure!

Extremely Disappointed -- Repeated Mistakes and a Failed Filling…read more I am very unhappy with the care I received from Dr. David Anifowose. At a cleaning appointment, he told me I needed fillings on tooth #4 and #5, even though I had never had pain, sensitivity, or any problems with either tooth. I agreed to the treatment, assuming it would be routine -- but it turned into one problem after another. Tooth #5 had to be redone immediately during the appointment because something went wrong the first time. When I got home and tried to floss, I couldn't because excess filling material had been left between the teeth. I had to go back yet again so he could "fix" it. That means it took three different attempts to complete one filling. A few months later, the filling on tooth #5 fell out completely. I immediately developed hot and cold sensitivity and had to see a different dentist. The new dentist repaired it correctly and the entire experience was noticeably more professional and competent. I honestly feel that Dr. Anifowose's work caused more harm than good. This process was stressful, inconvenient, and has permanently made me question his skill level. I would not recommend him based on what I went through.

We loooved Dr. Yang's upbeat cheerful gentle attitude, she did dental exams with x-rays of all 3 of my kids (12, 14, 17 years old); identified the areas that need further attention and promptly scheduled fillings & sealants within a week (my youngest child). She recommended a fluoride toothpaste to my oldest son, as it can stop the process of developing little issue areas into cavities that need fillings. My daughter will need invisilines or braces. I'm so very happy with Dr. Yang identifying early these areas, so we can take care of them and help my kids enjoy a life of dental health. She also does her own dental cleaning which I really appreciated done so well today, the fresh feel in my mouth is the best! :-) I strongly recommend McKinney Ranch Family:-)))))

Last August, I chipped a tooth a couple of weeks before my family was going on a cruise, and I ended up at Mckinney Ranch Family Dental. I was greeted by Dr. Yang. In short, Dr. Yang is all about helping people, and she doesn't criticize, condemn, or try to sell things you dont need. Dr. Yang is extremely professional and has a great bedside manner. She appears to legitimately care about her patients. I could go on and on about how much I like, respect, and appreciate Dr. Yang. I digress! Shifting gears to Mrs. Christy (Insurance/financial coordinator). In short, Mrs. Christy is absolutely amazing! She is up-front and open about all charges, what the insurance may/may not accept, etc. A level of transparency and honesty that I'm not use to seeing when it comes to dentist offices. And finally last, but certainly not least, there's Mrs. Teresa! She is the woman who greets you when you arrive and contacts you to confirm appointments. She is absolutely amazing as well. She is always engaged, smiling, and willing to help in any way that she can. In summary, I went from hating dentists to looking forward to seeing the team at Mckinney Ranch Family Dental. I've had several procedures since the initial August visit, and the office staff and dentist, as a collective, have given me a new appreciation and outlook on the dental profession. Would I recommend this office to family and friends? Absolutely!
