Not a fan of the co-op down the road this is the best place to get produce, eggs, meat and just about most things you can think of to fill your fridge and cupboard. The upstairs even has large freezers with ice cream and baked goods, and more meat. The people are very friendly and everything is quite affordable. I am so happy to be able to support my local farmer. They'll soon be starting a delivery service as well!

My husband was able to find whole oats here (called Jumbo Oats) which he couldn't find in any of the major grocery stores. The meat prices are extremely good especially for being so fresh and local, and the frozen meats are a super bargain! We bought some just-picked seasonal strawberries yesterday and they were amazingly delicious. We still need to get some things at a bigger store like some familiar national/international brands or particular varieties of groceries, but Radmore Farm Shop is definitely our new place to walk for fruit, veg, and meat. It's perfect for those "What are we going to have for dinner" afternoons because I can grab meat, onions, mushrooms, and whatever veg suits and cook something up fast. We are definite fans and plan to shop here routinely while we're in town.

Generally you can find fresh products and a wide selection of near everything (do not come to this Tescos if you are looking for home goods/ electronics/ etc). The prices as it is Tescos are decent. The staff are generally friendly as long as you're not getting the end of shift crowd. It's got a huge range of items, although no adult clothing (other than underwear) or much in the way of electronics/media/toys, unlike even bigger stores. For groceries, though, it's got a lot to offer. Fruit and veg are of good quality and usually well-stocked. The deli and fresh fish counters offer a lot of choice, and they even have a large 'Polish food' section. They have two 'car trolleys' which amuse small (and big) kids greatly, and make the shopping trip easier with children who are too big for the trolley seats but too small to walk all the way around without whining. Staff are friendly and helpful, and offers on food are good value.

It was the Kayser Bondor until the 1980's when it was bought by Tesco. Kayser Bondor made ladies stockings - but switched to making parachutes during World War II. Wish that we had selection like this in the USA!!!!

As it is an Extra, it stocks everything from TV's to toothpaste, so everything you need is under one roof. The car park is large (and needs to be as it does get busy), and the store also contains a petrol garage.

Hatfield branch Paying by cash is getting more and more…read moredifficult at Tesco, Hatfield. You can either pay cash at the check out counter or in the self checkout basket section which might be 3, 4 or 5 tiles. This changes all the time - apparently the tiles have 'problems' according to one of the staff. Customers are being asked to use the self scan service which works well if you pay by card. If you pay cash then you must queue - WHY. The customer is already doing everything and gets penalised because they pay cash. TESCO wake up to the real world, not everyone has a card !!!!!

It's not a huge store, but helpfully it's open 24 hours a day, although you do have to fight your way round the shelf stackers at night. Generally it's pretty well stocked, apart from the odd days around the major holidays where you can find the shelves dreadfully empty. There's a pharmacy, which I've never used, a Tesco Direct counter which works just as it should. The photo shop is always having their machine break down but when it's running the service is actually very good. A word of warning, there's a café tucked away upstairs at the far right of the shop, very easy to miss. I would definitely give it a miss, the breakfast is truly disgusting, and the coffee machine seems to be out of order whenever I go there. It's clean and tidy though.

I had visited several locations while in London and they are all laid out roughly the same, making it easy to find what you need. They are slightly cheaper than posh smaller markets, but it is a standard chain grocery store, so quality is a little less for meat, fruit, veggies, etc. There are quite a few around London and its outskirts, so never had an issue while visiting, which is great. All and all, I overall was quite happy with my visits.

A huge organic selection. A whole shelf of tea. Fantastic ethnic cooking section chock full of sauces, ingredients, grains, rices, beans and any element you probably need, spices, decent bakery with breads, rolls, pitas, etc. Eggs and dairy, beer, wine, a lot of coconut water, and a fresh produce section (outside) which is standard, but nice to have. Things you won't find: fresh meats or fish. Par for the course! The family that runs it is very friendly as well (always so polite!) and I always leave feeling quite good about supporting a local food shop that is not only convenient, but tucked away from the madness of the Old Street roundabout.
