Since I moved to Letchworth they have expanded the shop and added a TU clothes range, which really is fantastic for kids. I am there as soon as there is a 20% of sale (often around bank holidays) We quite often go to the cafe. For being a super market cafe it is really nice, specially if you compare it with Tesco in Baldock. The food is decent and the cakes and baked goods are normally very good. Sandwiches can be a bit boring but it is just the same as the ones you buy in the acual shop. There are plenty of babyseats around, and for a mother to a rather wiggly son, these ones are some of my favourites. There is also a baby changing room, it is ok but as people often barge in and use the toilet in there you can get disturbed, plus it is often freezing cold (which as you mothers of little boys know can end up in a rather wet mess) Food wise they have got both a childrens menu and lunch packs, where you get a sarnie, yoghurt pot, fruit (which can be exchanged for other fruits at the till) and their own verision of Fruit shoot, a fruit slurp. The staff are very friendly most of the time. Sometimes you have to wait awhile for orders and items sell out quite fast. My son loves it in there for some reason, it is often quite busy and filled with other kids and he likes to watch people so I guess it is ideal for that!

Iceland offers low prices on all your frozen food needs and as its low priced you have more money to spend on other things. They update their ranges frequently through the year so you'll be able to buy things as simple as sausages or as adventurous as chicken tikka lasagne. Give them a try.

As it is small, they don't always have lots of variety and types of a particular item. They do sell items for lunches, such as sandwiches, salads etc. There is also a post office within the co-op, that does very good business and I would think attracts quite alot of business to the co-op. The staff are always friendly and they are always ready to open another till if needed. They do also have larger items that are on special offer by the door. It is usually seasonal. In the summer they had a cheap patio table and chairs.
