The store has two entrances, the front entrance has a staircase (with a lift) and escalator, or if you let the staff know there's a back entrance. The staff seemed really friendly and happy to help, which was good. Considering, this is only a "Local" store, they did have a good selection of fresh meats, I picked up some excellent quality turkey, and they also have a bakery section. The checkouts were easy to use and simple. They are missing a trick by not having a coffee machine here though, especially as Tesco Express' town centre store (and Superstore) does, so it would be useful, but I dislike Costa Coffee anyway which most coffee machines seem to use. 4* - The extra star is mainly for the friendliness and the helpfulness of the staff, while the selection is OK.

The store did seem to be a mess with warehouse trolley/cages seem to be just left in the middle of an aisle by certain staff members, it seemed throughout my shop, no staff member approached them to use them or move them out of the way either. I wasn't able to get all of the items I came in for either, so did have to go elsewhere to the nearby Sainsbury's Local store which was considerably better, the only benefit this location has over Sainsbury's is it has a coffee machine which is useful if you're in a rush. 2*

The none frozen items tend to be a little more expensive than what they would be elsewhere. however, there are bargains still to be had. I like that they offer a range of kitchen goods, such as cookers and freezers. although these do not seem to be any cheaper than elsewhere, however because i have seen them instore, iceland would be somewhere i would consider looking for these items should i need them inthe future. the staff are generally ok. at the tills, they are quick and efficient, even when queues are to the back of the store. the till staff still try to do what they can to deal with customers quickly and fairly politely. be aware though, that if you go into this store whilst they are stocking up, you will have to dodge boxes as the staff will not move out of the way for you.

I have my good days and bad days, and today was a so so day.But i needed to do some shopping, but thought i would have some lunch first. Which was absolutely delicious . But unfortunately i could not manage to cut it. So i asked a member of staff called Pat if she could do it for me and she was very understanding lady and staff member. I love their organic range 'SO' and their 'free from' range. You will find sections for electricals, toys, clothing, dry cleaning, photo processing, stationary and they also have a petrol station. Not the cheapest supermarket out there but I have been happy with the quality. Its also worth keeping an eye out for the special offer leaflets they have. Located in the Caldy Valley area in Chester, it has ample parking and is open late.
