I can't help but feel this store is located out of place, being just a Tesco Express store which is located across the way from a decent size Waitrose supermarket, which is much larger than this branch and with better facilities such as a better range, toilets and car parking, which knocks this store out of the park.
Moving onto my regular review, this Is still a nice addition to add some competition to Alderley Edge, and being so close to the train station, just down the road it is a nice place to run in to get some essentials for your journey, with a lack of facilities at the station.
It still did seem quite busy, with longer queues than even Waitrose across the way, which is surprising for the size of the store.
The range its-self was decent, it was satisfactory, sadly nothing more than that, but as an Express store, Tesco are not aiming for this place to be somewhere to do your weekly shop.
The staff here did seem a little unfriendly, and not too helpful, for example I couldn't find price tags on certain items, including a bag of the new Ultimate Cheeseburger Doritos, and I couldn't find a member of staff on the shop floor when I needed them.
Overall, this store is probably below average and in the wrong location, opposite a much larger Waitrose supermarket, even the prices here were really high and pricy, considerably more than other Tesco stores, with this store seeming to put a premium on things as it is in a more high-end area, I think this is not on. Due to the pricing, I feel this store deserves a single one star, and not the two I would have liked to give. read more
