Often half the price of the food in Tesco's…read more As for where it's situated, it's about a 10 minute walk from the town centre, or a 2 minute drive, so worth nipping into on your way out of town. If you have never been in Farmfoods before - the majority of what they sell is frozen food, although they have shelves above the chest freezers with non frozen goods on, as well as essentials like milk, bread and loo roll! They often send out discounts in the local paper in the form of £2.50 off a £25 spend or £5 off a £50 spend. Bearing in mind that the food is already good value, these vouchers make it exceptionally good value. The parking is excellent, I have only ever seen the car park half full. The only downside to this shop is the time it can take to check out as they usually only have 1 person on the checkouts. But the wait is worth it for the bargain food!

Iceland sells a mixture of own products but it does also sell brands such as Weight Watchers, Bernard Matthews, Chicago Town, Birds Eye, Aunt Bessies and Findus to name a few. On its own products it has very clear labels stating the price and most things are £1,£2 or £3 so if your on a budget it is easy to keep a track of what you are putting in your basket or trolley. I can fill my freezer at home for around £15! The branded products are always reasonably priced too normally at a discounted rate so cheaper than you may find in Tesco or Sainsburys. The only things i dislike about this store is that there is always a queue, they really need to get some more staff on the tills and i don't like the small trolleys with a big pole on them which are supposed to stop people stealing them but just gets in the way
