I walked in when they first opened on a Thursday morning at 10am and there were no other customers so she was able to take me for a pedicure right away. I was greeted and brought to a pedicure chair. The place was very clean and the chair was very comfortable. There were plenty of nail polish colors to choose from and I chose a bright blue. I got the basic pedicure and she was thorough and asked what shaped I wanted my nails filed and if I wanted them cut. I was able to relax with the massage on the chair. I will definitely make an appointment to come back since the owner had to turn people away to come back later since there are only 4 pedicure chairs. read more

I had a really good experience here. I came for a pedicure on a Saturday, without an appointment and was taken immediately upon arrival. I like that the place was quiet and not at all busy. There were I ly a few patrons being serviced and I didn't have to wait for a seat. They seem clean although they do not use plastic liners for their pedicure foot baths. My nail tech was attentive and did exactly as I directed in regards to my nail shape. I brought my own polish but they do offer a decent array of polishes from which to choose. I was in and out in under 45 minutes. My pedicure looked good and I got a 20% disco on my first service with my check in. read more

Cute little place and I'll be back! The pedicure was extremely thorough. The regular pedicure was $23 but they have two types of J.S special pedicures which are $40 and $50. Both are a good deal, but the $50 includes hot stones. It's a small place whit nice ladies. Only 4 stations so it's best to book an appointment. Easy meter parking outside. Not a big polish selection and I don't think they do dip powder. read more

I've been coming to this salon for years. The staff are friendly and professional. The nail salon is very clean and well kept. There's a large selection of regular nail polish colors and gel polish colors. They offer several services such as waxing, and acrylic. This is my go to salon for manis and pedis both regular and gel. I return because the service is good and the location is convenient. read more

I found this nail salon whilst visiting NY via Yelp. I found free street parking and was pleasantly surprised by the nice atmosphere the nail salon had. The people were friendly and the salon had several floors. The place was clean and they had great prices. I had a manipedi by Elaina. She was considerate and great. I was very happy with my service here. The only thing is that my mani did not last long at all :-(- A few days later and several nails' polish chipped already. read more

I'm not the type of person to write reviews often but I just have to for this place. I have been living in NY for 3.5years now and since I was in the hunt for a decent nail salon. I have gone to other nail salons where my gel manicure has lasted from 4 days to 1.5 weeks. It will now be a little over 2 weeks that I got my nails done here and there are still perfect (other than the normal nail growth). I was helped super quick. I was only serviced by Rosa so I cannot say about the other ladies, but my hunting for a nail salon and nail person is over! read more

I'm very picky when it comes to Customer Service since I've been working it for 11 years now and wow, I'm pretty impressed. I went in for an SNS mami on Saturday and for some reason, last night they started to pop up. I went in today to see if they'd fix the problem. I was pleased with the owner for taking me right away and apologizing. Not something that happens Update: two days later, the sns polish popped up again- safe to say I'll probably never go back. $37 for cheap quality and it's a shame that they're so close to home. read more

I've been going to JS since 2005 and I absolutely love this place! They're reasonably priced especially for the quality of products and services. I recently moved to Atlanta and have been flying back just to get my permanent French CND that I can't find anywhere else. Maria and Rosa are my favorites to get a pedicure but honestly everyone does a good job. Kelly used to do my permanent French for years but now Terri runs the place. I enjoy simple French manicures. They do not do acrylic because it's cheap and harmful so they do not promote or provide it. They are like family. This is my third time at J&S Nails. I always get the spa pedi and uv color gel. I will not be going back. The last time I was there, the woman who I had for my pedicure did an excellent job. I wanted her to also do my manicure, but it appears there's a new unspoken rule that the Latinx workers only work on the feet and the Asian workers are allowed to work on the hands. It made me feel extremely uncomfortable, and furthermore, the (elderly) woman who did my manicure did a terrible job. The paint was uneven and she barely did any cuticle work. read more

I had a really nice Hispanic lady do my nails and toes. She was so sweet and efficient. The prices are cheap compared to where I live (Denver) but it was clean, they were quick and I loved my pedicure. I didn't give 5 stars because the nail polish on my girlfriends nails chipped off the same day. No bueno read more

Clean salon. People are friendly. Prices are absolutely absurd. $50 for powder fill in w gel? Imagine what a new set would cost. Didn't even last a week either. My friends mani didn't last more than two days. She had hanging nails too.Wouldn't necessarily return but it isn't a terrible place, but they should lower their prices significantly. read more

I wasn't overly impressed the first time I went to JS Spa & Nails but I was pressed for time and decided to give it another go. Rosa did both my pedicure and my dip powder manicure. One (1) day after getting my manicure I noticed one of my nails was missing the polish. I wasn't going to post a review because why lie ... I'm lazy when it comes to that stuff. But when the polish of another nail just popped off like a press on nail, I just had to comment. Save your money and go elsewhere if you want to do anything other than a regular manicure. read more

Since moving from California, I've had to try a few places to find one I love. I've been here now two times, and I really like Rosa. I walked in at 345. The place was totally empty only 1 customer and 2 manicurists were sitting texting on their phones! I asked to have my gel removed and an sns manicure. The one girl looked at me and said we dont have time for that today so sorry (very rudely). Was that a joke? Do not go here! So extremely rude! Wow! I am pleased to write a review for this place. I was greeted nicely & asked what I wanted done. Taken care of right away. I have to say I have never found a place that actually has taken the time to take care of their customer like they should even when they're busy. She didn't rush through anything. Took her time. She double checked just to make sure all nails are cut the same and filed right. Massage was amazing! This was for manicure & pedicure. Clean place. Very nice. Lovely music. Definitely recommend. I love this place ! I've been quite a few times and I always leave happy, the staff is very friendly and polite, and they're also good at what they do. Unfortunately I didn't get the name of my technician but I'm pretty sure she's the owner, Terry. I usually get a gel polish manicure and I appreciate that she always takes the time to take the polish off correctly by soaking and filing, instead of just using the mechanical file which destroys your nails ! I'm also an eyebrow snob who never cheats on my eyebrow lady but was desperate today and got them done here. She did a great job. Goodbye Frida ! Place is very clean and cosy, chairs are comfy and they give a great mani/pedi. Sadly, I do not remember the name of the lady who did my mani/pedi but she was excellent! I wish they had more OPI but the offerings were good. - Highly sanitary including disposable liners for pedicure tubs. - Once you make an appointment, they will send out reminders as well as any updates/changes via texts. - Niki Acosta did both of my services. She was truly amazing! Not only was she kind, personable, she did a wonderful job. The pedicure was done to perfection from the cutting, filing, and even foot massage. I felt great afterwards. But the magic was really in my gel manicure. I had wanted to do a pink/neutral color with caviar nail design on 2 fingers. The salon was out of the caviar beads and Niki suggested I do a "treasure nail" which includes rhinestones. I'm VERY much a plain Jane. Niki suggested I do a full nail but I was hesitant. It sounds weird but it was really sweet and thoughtful. It didn't seem like she was in it for the money, but more so to ensure I had a good experience and design. I decided to go along with her suggestion. I'm so glad I did because it came out beautifully! 2 weeks later and i'm still getting compliments. The rhinestones have fallen off little by little which is expected but the manicure itself still looks great. As the night went on, I learned about Niki's talent and aspirations as a nail tech, she's very dedicated to her craft and it shows in her work. Cons: - I had an appointment for 5pm but was not seen until about 5:45pm. I'm grateful that the Niki apologized but that is just too long of a wait. As I waited to be served, no one offered me a swatch to look at the polish colors or even a magazine. I wasn't even offered a drink until I sat in the pedicure seat. I think when you have this type of business, it's not only about the service, the customer is also looking for a good and unique experience. I did not receive that initially. - The nail polish colors are behind the "bar". I typically come to a nail salon about 15 minutes in advance to pick my color. That way I'm not wasting the technician's time being indecisive and trying out a bunch of colors. To my dismay, the polish is behind the bar. The swatch of sample colors only provided a small portion of their vast collection on the wall. As a result, I sat in the pedicure chair trying to figure out which color I wanted. The same thing happened at the bar; its time consuming especially when you're the last customer for the night. Overall, I'm pleased. In total, I paid about $70 for all the noted services. I will definitely return and recommend to others.

So despite the reviews, I decided to go and take a chance, as she's always done an amazing job on my pedicures. I'm so glad I didn't go with the reviews. They were from the previous owners. The place is beautiful; it's been completely redone. It gives you a spa vibe, and everyone was so friendly. A big shout-out to my girl Rita, who always does a great job.

I asked for a hologram design and was just given a square of it that doesn't cover my full name, i asked for more and she added some glitter pieces that STILL did not cover my full nail. With the price i paid i expected a service that's way more respectable and at least expected a Good Job to be done but i was left disappointed. She lost a customer, that's all i have to say.

You can get your nails done anywhere but you won't be able to get the amenities offered here. Not only did she offer me quarters for the meter, she had toiletries in bathroom for us ladies to use, hookah option, wine, tea, and she lets you choose your song or Netflix preference.
