Stumbled across this place while trying to kill some time at the weekend, and I'm really glad that i did! The material rolls section is brilliant, and there are some really good bargains in the clearnace section. I also thought that the section with linings and furnishing bits (tassles etc) was really good and very good value for money. I loved the blinds section, and am currently measuring up to get the horizontal leather covered blinds in my lounge. I've never seen blinds like these before, and have been assured by the staff that they dont fade in the sun. Looks to be very good quality throughout the store, and the staff i met were very polite and helpful. Looking forward to getting my blinds in now! They will also make curtains to order read more

Very wide selection of fabric goods, with a very good 'bargain' section. I was unfortunate in that the day i went, the member of staff on the desk was flustered, and rather rude, but aside from that experience the goods themselves did look of very high quality. There is a custom made curtains and blinds section, and from what i overheard from other people, this service does not cost much more than just buying the fabric and making the curtains yourself, but obviously takes out a lot of the hassle. It is located outside of newcastle town centre, so is most defnitly a 'drive to' experience, but parking is plentiful, and right next to the store. read more

Terry's fabric warehouse has a massive choice of fabrics and many of them are very modern and stylish. Terry's also offers a curtain making service which is competitively priced and the staff produce excellent quality curtains. You can choose any size with a variety of different curtain headers and they will make them to order within a couple of weeks. As well as the fabrics, Terry's sells a range of other items such as ready made curtains, cushions and bedding although these ranges are quite limited. It is a great shop that provides some different fabrics in a huge choice. read more

I was very impressed with the promptness to resolve an issue that i had with my roller blinds,I e mailed the customer service twice with questions and each time the replied with answers. I would recommend Terry's Fabric warehouse to anybody who wants good quality goods, great prices and ranges of all the latest designs and the acknowledgement that help is at the over end of the telephone should you need it . read more

I have no idea whats with this company 1. they have chosen HDN a notoriously difficult delivery company for customers to deal with and if there are any issues that need to be dealt with they are completely uncontactable they no. for their customer service centre is a number that rings out or takes you to full answer machine no human contact to help with delivery/order issues have had no other choice to send an email so will wait to see how long this takes and what the reply is. It sounds as if their face to face & instore customer service is great real shame to see modenisation of this service is severly lacking when it comes to online sales. Veyr frustrating. read more

WARNING! Customer service on returns poor. Here was the series of events Purchased sofa bed online, delivered all fine, but the sofa was just slightly too big for the gap it needed to go in, so we had to send it back. Up until now, everything about Terrys Fabrics is great. Then, the problems commence. So we filed for a return online on 19th July, bearing in mind that Terrys Fabrics marketing, and arguably a unique selling point of the company is their 'Quibble free returns, no quibbles, no hassles'. We were totally fooled by this, I'm still not sure what exactly that means, because we were awash with problems, and they charge £52 per collection... We then received an email from Terrys that asked us which delivery dates would be suitable for us to have the parcel collected. We decided on a Thursday and Tuesday. That was on Monday. Then, nothing. No contact. We then received an email on Thursday, the same Thursday that the item was 'supposed' to be collected! The email said that the item will be collected today, by that time we were already at work! So we phoned up Terrys Fabrics, wasted a several hours trying to resolve the problem, but the lady on the end of the phone was aggressive, and at one point, completely shocked me when she proceeded to talk over me and put the fault on me! So round #2, this time Tuesday, again we had the usual lack of email confirmations, this time i waited around for a few hours in the morning, just to see if we would get our same-day morning confirmation! Still nothing, so I decided that Tuesday's delivery wasn't going to happen, so I went to work. We then phoned them at lunch, and they confirmed that it's being picked up today! Brilliant! No one is in, so the lady (a different lady from the first, this time much nicer) said they will see what they can do. I thought we might catch a break and get this sorted. Terry's didn't actually liaise with the delivery company XDP (who, by the way, claim to have sent us countless emails, of which we have received zero), they instead looked at the tracking information, and said its being picked up today. I then proceed to explain how we've received no emails from XDP (which she refuses to accept), and that I need to book time off at work otherwise I am throwing money out the window. By this point, the nice lady had turned rather sour, and began to start putting the blame back on my doorstep, and rather than £52 delivery charge I will now be charged £104 for a delivery. A totally unacceptable and frustrating experience. So my advice? Avoid Terrys Fabrics, use Amazon. Life is too short. read more

STAY CLEAR!!! If i could give a zero rating I would - Taken nearly £300.00 from me and I still have no goods!!!! I came accross the Terrys Fabric Website online searching for new curtains, poles and pillows for my newly decorated living room. I finally found what I was looking for and continued to add my required items to my shopping basket totalling nearly £300.00! a fairly significant order i's say!?!? I was obviously very keen to receive delivery to add the final touches to my home improvments so I made a valid pint of ensuring the items were in stock and that I did not chose items that i would have to wait for. I completed my order and gave my card details to make payment! I received a standard order confirmation by email. Then the following day I received a further email claiming my curtains to not be in stock and told it would be a further 7 working days before disptach! Fine! I understand these things happen Despite the website saying they was in stock. To add to my further disapointment, Instead of delivering my in stock items the email also said these would not be dispatched until my curtains were!! Anyhow, I waited the 7 working days and emailed an enquiry in the hope that they were in stock nowNOPE!! Was told it would be a few more days so I waited patiently again!! then Emailed again! Still not in STOCK!! Grrrrrr!!! Finally I received an email saying my items were in stock, YIPPEE!! I continued to read on which stated only 1 pair of the 2 identical curtains Id ordered had been dispatched! Upon checking my other emails I noticed a further email from Terrys Fabrics telling me the other pair was not in stock but they had ordered them with their supplier assuring me that they would be received in 7 working days!!! OMG!! Surely Terrys Fabric ordered me two pairs with their supplier when I originally placed my order!! NOPE!! Where is the logic of these people?? Going back to my dispatch email it detailed they had been sent for delivery with YODEL 48 (im assuming yodels 48 delivery service) with a tracking number!! Can you believe the tracking number doesnt exist!! and I still have not received my items.I figured my goods would have been here days ago. I sent another email to Terrys Fabrics questioning the tracking number given and surprise surprise I have had no response! Terrys Fabrics are deamed useless in my eys and I would not use them or recommend them to anyone! The website looks all very professional but would class these guys as cowboys! Stay clear! Additional to this the Customer Services is very poor and all emails received are very repeatative and standard, almost patrinising! They are full of apologies but offer no re-assurance that problems are looked into. read more

This company offer a wide range of goods at reasonable prices but be prepared to wait for delivery. I ordered some goods on the 26th April and have contacted the company twice with regard to still waiting for the parcel. The first time over a week ago the 6th of May to say I had a part parcel delivered. Was told that the rest of the parcel would be next day (Friday) or at the latest Monday 10th May. Neither did they arrive. I called again on the 11th May and was told I would get a call back in around 10 mins. This call never came but an email was sent around around 6 hours later detailing that some parcels had gone missing with their courrier. Ok I thought problems happen but I run a business and need these items for a specific date. So I email back asking if they have an idea of when they will be arriving as they are needed quite urgently. Another email ( no call!!) and I am told that they are being dispatched today and I should receive them tomorrow (13th May or 14th May at the latest). 14th May comes and at around 1pm I email the company and explain that I still have no parcel and if it doesn't get delivered today that I will not be needing the goods as I have a deadline of Saturday 15th May. Needless to say, no reply email and no follow up call and still no parcel!! Not a good company to deal with, lets hope the refund is such a struggle as receiving the goods!! read more

I ordered some cushions from Terry's Fabrics to match my curtains! I bought the curtains from another internet company and had no problems. I decided to order the cushions from TF because they were a little bit cheaper. WHAT A MISTAKE!! The cushions arrive on time but they were very lumpy! IT looked like the cushions used were way too big for the covers! Then I tried to return them and the problems began. TF would not take any responsibility for sending me product that was not of good quality. I was told that it is my opinion that the cushions are lumpy When I asked to speak to a manager I was refused and was told that I cannot call the company and will have to deal with them only in an email. I asked the customer service rep to send this in an email but she refused!! The return instructions were useless as I followed them to the dot and the collect+ company still would not take them back! TF asked me for £11.99 to arrange a pick up informing me that they will not cover the cost. PLEASE do not fall into the trap of ordering with this company! Their customer service rep is unbelievably rude! This company are not customer focused!! They are just after stilling money from people and not providing any service!! read more

I have never felt the need to write a review before and I only wish that I had read these before bothering with this company. In short I ordered curtains which when I received them turned out to be nothing like the picture on the internet (and nothing like the picture on the packaging). Customer service are nightmare to get through to and although emails are fairly prompt, I received similar treatment to others mentioned before me. I expected my complaint to be looked at fairly, but the manager Jackie came straight back and said she disagreed with me and went as far as to say my computer resoultion may be to blame! When I again wanted to know where my refund was, I was told that they were sorry that I might have overlooked their email to confirm that this had been done. I felt from start to finish an undertone of sarcasm and unprofessionalism. Upon reflection to be honest you get what you pay for and they are really cheap for a reason.. If for some reason you are unlucky to find that your order is not what you were expecting, then I can only sympathise.. read more

POOR SERVICE WHEN YOU HAVE A DAMAGED ITEM I ordered a curtain pole in good faith on next day delivery as needed to asap , it failed to arrive whist this was not Terrys fabrics fault when the good did arrive damaged they were quite inflexible. The bracket only was damaged and rather than have the hassle of sending the whole thing back and time delays I requested a new bracket first class post. This was not possible they only do second class -company policy. Secondly before they would do anything I would have to take a picture of the bracket and email them,. so they could claim from the courier first. I had not even opened the pole packet but could see the broken braclket in the wrapping. I admit they asnwer emails very quickly but wont budge from company policy and hence you get no where , comon sense does not prevail. I eventually rang the curtain pole manufacturer direct and they were more than happy to send a bracket out first class no charge. Terrys Fabrics have their whole ethos wrong as far as I am concerned. Now that Dunelm has decided to reduce the fabric ranges in their stores and John Lewis being too pricey it has become difficult to find a nice range of curtain materials outside the big cities. I learned about Terry's business when I purchased an Ideal Home magazine to get inspiration to update our livingroom. In the past I always made my own curtains, cushion covers etc., but lack of time made me decide to purchase ready-made curtains for the living- and dining-room. Terry's duly sent me fabric-samples of those I was interested in which helped me choose what I wanted. My order was fulfilled within 2 days of placing it, carriage was a bit on the slow side, however as it was not urgent it was not important. Their vast range of items helps in deciding what to concentrate on and then focus on the detail, I can heartily recommend the company, their service is first-rate. We have recently renovated our living room, and after ordering carpets and furniture we had to find curtains. I went to Terrys in Stockport and was really impressed by the range of fabrics and accessories. (there is also a big range of ready made curtains.) The staff were there if you needed them but left you to browse at your leisure. I was able to take a sample piece home for a small deposit, which was really helpful, and confirmed we had made the right choice! We ordered the curtains, and were notified as soon as they were ready. It is obvious when you go to collect the curtains, and in our case a blind in matching fabric, that the staff take a great pride in their work, and genuinely want you to be happy with the finished product, this extends from the store staff to the machinists and inspectors. We are really pleased with our curtains and blind and would readily recommend Terry's to others. read more

I needed a corded curtain track for a rather large patio door. I understood that I had to have 2 with a joiner in the middle. Upon receipt of said tracks my husband said that it would indeed be difficult to join them because of the cord. When he looked at the website he said that I should have got a 500cm track, so as you see it was completely my error!!!! When he called the company (they answered promptly) and explained my stupid mistake they couldn't have been more helpful. They arranged for the tracks to be collected (when convenient to me) 2 days later. We then ordered the correct one and it was despatched the next day. I can honestly say that the customer service we received was second to none, they couldn't have been more helpful and polite and professional. I would definitely use them again and recommend to a friend. They were also better on price!!!! read more

Shocking company! I ordered a rug on Monday the 7th of may, the website said that my order would be delivered in TWO working days. It got to Friday still no rug! So I rang them, and was told it wasn't in stock and the item would not be in stock until the 17th. I told the rep that I was unhappy with their service and that it was misleading telling customers that the rug was in stock and would be delivered within 2 working days to which she replied if your not happy then get a refund and put the phone down! I have just received an email informing me that the rug will now not be in stock until the 25TH OF JUNE! This would leave me waiting nearly a month and a half just for a rug! I have asked for a full refund, and shall not use this company again, nor will i recommend it to anyone! read more

After browsing the internet for a while to find some bargain curtains and bedding for my new home I found Terrys Fabrics and decided to use that as the products seemed great value for money. I placed my order and was very impressed to recieve all my items together within 3 days. I was overly satisfied with all the items I recieved and even more impressed with the bargain prices and speedy delivery. I have since had a very minor problem with one of my products that I had ordered so I contacted Terrys Fabrics and they got back to my almost immediately offering me a no quibble refund and making me feel completely confident in using their services again. I am very impressed with customer service and think they're doing a fantastic job, well done Terrys and all the staff excellent!! read more

Really knocked out by this company! Amazing customer service. I always maintain that you learn far more about a company when things go wrong rather than when things go right and Terry's proves my point 100%. Ordered some curtain equipment from them after finding that they had the best prices on the web when the items arrived one of the rods was faulty (you had to open the pack to see this clearly a manufacturers fault). It was a Sunday and so I emailed them to tell them about the fault and to expect a call from me on Monday. Within 15 minutes I had an apology and a replacement item despatched (with tracking number) ON A SUNDAY!!! Incredible customer service no arguments/no excuses/no delays just sorted me out in an instant. read more

Terrys Fabrics has to be the worst company in the UK. We ordered fabric on 15/09/12. They took our £242.73p. On 17/09 we were told the goods were not in stock but would be in a couple of days. Then we were told delivery would be 24/09, waited in all day without a delivery. Then were promised 27/09 but again no delivery. This am we rang to speak to the MD Mr Terry Baskeyfield to be told that " he does not speak to customers". So, Mr Baskeyfield will take your money but he will keep you waiting for over 2 weeks for goods that his email claims are in stock at his manufacturer. Mr Baskeyfield, time to front up and admit your company is bad and speak to some of your clients rather than leave it to your staff to handle your mess. read more

I went to one of your shops in Stoke for the first time shortly before moving to Wales, and bought some great value curtain material for bedroom windows in our new house. After we moved, I was wishing I had bought a lot more, so I was thrilled to find the website. I ordered some stuff on Monday night, and was amazed to get it delivered Wednesday morning, all the way across the western part of Wales. By contrast, a competitor delivered some goods (duvet cover) that was faulty and had to be returned; 3 weeks later still waiting for replacement, and I had to chase them up even after apologies and promises of immediate despatch, that took 4 days to arrive. Have recently found Terry's and am delighted with the service and items received. My 1st order was for cushions which were not in stock, but delivery in 7 days. The cushions arrived in about 5 days and I was thrilled with them, the size and the quality was superb. Last weekend I ordered a rug, long Jubilee weekend holiday. It was stated delivery in two days. Back to work for everybody Wednesday, and early Thursday afternoon, my rug was here. Amazing!!! The quality and price is very good, it is now in my conservatory, looking splendid with the new complete set of suite cushions. I can't fault the service I have received from Terry's, will surely continue ordering when the need arises. read more

I've ordered fabric for six sets of curtains from Terry's. Most were delivered promptly and communication was good. Terry's were let down by one of their fabrics suppliers. Without any prompting from me they sorted out the issue, sourcing the fabric as pieces rather than one long run. I experienced excellent communication throughout. Whilst the fabrics I bought were quite expensive, they compared very well both in terms or price and quality with much more expensive offering from other retailers. This saved me something in the region of 40% compared to the other fabrics I was considering. In summary: Great quality products, great quality service, great prices. Good job Terry's. read more

I have been using Terry's fabrics for a while now, and have used alot of their Roman blind kits, which are sold at a very reasonable price. I bought a Blind kit recentley and the pulley broke. When we order on the Internet, we never know what the after sales customer service will be like, until we report a problem, Well I was absolutley delighted, after contacting the after service team, and reporting the fault. Within a few hours the problem has been resolved, and at no further cost to me. I would recommend Terry's fabrics company for there goods, quick delivery, and aspecially their after sales service. I don't like the fact that this business does not have a contact number on which to call them and the excuse that they are keeping their costs down is transparently nonsense. Email queries are indeed dealt with promptly but simply by a recitation of the information already online, which you can see for yourself. I don't believe whoever it is who goes through the motions of responding to emails at Terrys Fabrics has ready access to stock, or indeed to any detailed information about the stock. It's a big pile-em-high sell-em-quick outfit. read more

I received my curtains very quickly,and when I hung them,after 3 days being left in package,they had no creases.They matched my paint perfectly although I only used the web picture as a guide.The fabric feels lovely and the lining is separate unlike some others I have bought,so they fall nicely.They finish off my new bedroom perfectly.The price is very good and they are a really good quality.I would certainly recommend this store for your furnishing needs . I bought these online am certainly not disappointed that I chose this company. read more

I'm over the moon with my new curtains and I'm just so happy with the service that I received from Terr's Fabrics. I ordered the curtains on Friday 9th December and when I came home from shopping on the Saturday 10th December they had been delivered. I've never had such fast service from anyone before like this. The Curtains are just so nice and have changed my room so much. I have recomended Terry's to everyone at Work, Friends & Work Collegues. Such a great service can make you so happy, happy, happy. read more

As a single bloke and a lorry driver I know next to nothing about furnishing stuff. But this website is great, all the information you need, easy to find what you want and any extra bits you may need. Very fast delivery meant I could get the window curtains up in no time at all. Next time I need anything furnishing wise I'll be back here, the site is bookmarked! The emails I've had have also been very nice so I think these are good people to deal with, spend your money here and encourage good business. read more
