So I don't really know where to start, so I guess I'll just start here. I left my current job at about 10.30am and arrived at this place for 12pm I did until 4pm. Already was told to hurry up on packing. They have NO QUAILITY check staff, so meaning we'd have to do a quick scout on the mug and pack it. I was told if any back stamps were dodgy, to pull them out - which I did. Just before I went home the manager (chris) looked at them and told me to just put a label on them and pack them. I didn't feel comfortable so left them to one side. (Oh yes, I know about quality check as I've done this before) Caught up? Right, so next day I went in, packing fast. Again I was told to work faster, now as I was working I was asking the girl behind me questions, we were immediately told not to talk. So i carried on the rest of the day in silence. I was pulling out faults I.E, stucks, damaged prints etc. So my LAST half day, I was paired up with a lady, me and her started talking. She told me she had been there for years, she told me NOT to pack the bad back stamp ones. I told her the manager told me and the other girl to pack them. This lady who had been there for years told this other lady I know all about quality check and I knew exactly what to pull out. As I turned around to answer this woman's question, I saw the manager staring at me. 1 hour later. yes, ONE HOUR LATER I went on break and the manager came up to me just before I was about finish break, he told me not to come back as he feels I won't be able get my speed up for what he wants. Told him it was funny cause the other place I worked and left to work there didn't have a problem with my packing speed. So basically, I got let go because I knew about quality check and he didn't like it. So people. I wouldn't work here. The way he talks to staff too is ridiculous. No respect at all.

The access for disabled and pushchairs is great, with wide aisles. The staff are very friendly, polite and helpful. And this store isn't expensive.

Wilkinsons is one of the best places places for bargain hunting and sell a huge range of items from…read morerazor blades to curtain poles, many of which are cheaper than other shops. They also have a lot of very cheap DIY items. When we were re-decorating our house, Wilkinsons wasn't the first store that came to mind when buying paint, light switches etc but in my experience, even though they haven't got such a large range of products they are usually cheaper than all of the big DIY stores. The staff are very polite and helpful and I have never had to wait long to pay.

As you walk in there is a selection of tea sets and dinner ware made by Royal Albert, Doulton and Minton. Some are seconds and made abroad and others are first quality which were made in England. There is then a range of glassware, sets of glasses and gifts. Next to that is a great selection of quaility collectables from Royal Crown Derby, Doulton and Minton. There are figures at £10,000 as part of the prestige range. There is a toilet in the store and a little place to sit and have a drink. This is a pleasant shop to visit to find a bargain or a special gift.

This is the factory shop for the Moorcroft compnay and is on the same site as the factory and the…read moremuseum. It is the place to visit for all Moorcroft collectors and enthusiasts as it has a wide range of porducts on sale. There are the range of lamps on sale along with shades in all different designs. There are then various pots, vases, dishes and jars in either limited edition designs or general range. The shop also always has a good range of slight seconds which are below normal price. You can join the Moorcroft club and enjoy a 10% discount on items at the shop and this is also the place to visit for the factory tours which occur during the week. In the shop is one of the old bottle kilns which were used to fire the pottery. It is preserved for all to see and you can look inside it to see how it operated. A great place to visit for a very special gift.
