In addition, they have an option to purchase a new appliance if the repairs are too costly. This would be at a discount, as well. There was a four hour window. The tech came promptly and was very focused and professional. He quickly diagnosed the issue, and was able to fix the problem without having me purchase a new door. That would've been way too expensive. Very honest!

They sent 3 different technicians to "fix" the dishwasher & it's still broken! The second & third technician that came said their previous partner that was at the house ordered the wrong parts & they didn't know why they ordered what they ordered! They also let me know 1 of the technicians that came no longer works there because he was incompetent! The manager John is very rude & had a nasty attitude when I was complaining about the service on the phone. I tried to come to a solution with him but he refused. Customer service is terrible, team is incompetent. Do not hire this company under any circumstances! They wouldn't even refund us our $220 which they said would be applied to the end bill when they were done fixing The problem. The problem was not fixed after 3 visits from 3 different technicians & 2 two months of being ignored when we were asking for follow ups & time frames! We asked for a refund so we could find a company that could help us, but they refused. Beware!!!

During that…read morevisit, the technician showed me the failed part -- the main control panel -- and explained it would need to be replaced. After receiving their estimate, I was shocked. Appliance ER quoted me $1,935.02 to replace a part that I was able to purchase directly from Bertazzoni for $249.95. This is not a complicated repair. The control panel is a plug-and-play unit. The installation instructions are straightforward and publicly available: Turn off the breaker, unplug the unit, take a photo of the wiring, swap the panel, and reconnect. That's it. No sealed system work. No refrigerant. No special tools. No advanced labor. Yet the quote reflects nearly $1,700 in markup for a part swap that takes minutes. What's most concerning is that the technician physically showed me the panel during the diagnostic, so I was able to verify exactly what part was needed and how simple the replacement is. This felt far less like a repair estimate and far more like an attempt to take advantage of a homeowner who doesn't know they can order the part themselves. I understand companies need to make money. I do not understand a 7-8x markup on a plug-in component with minimal labor. If you use Appliance ER, make sure you price the part yourself before approving any work. It may save you thousands.
