As it got closer to my appointment day I received an email to confirm. The day of the appointment they call me as the streets out front are closed for a street festival. Truly appreciated the heads up as I am not from the area I managed to park on a side street and walk over to the salon. Although I was a couple minutes late I was still well received openly. That's a nice feeling as it is hard enough when you are stressed to arrive late at an unfamiliar place. I asked for the ladies room and it was clean as the rest of the salon which was spotless. If I was here again I could use their private parking lot which is a definite plus. Samatha was the stylist who washed and blow dried my hair for the wedding I was going to. She styled it exactly the way I wanted and miraculously it stayed in place all night despite the humidity. At the end of my appointment I even bought the product she used in my hair as it is to assist your hair with humidity. I am sure it will be great same as this salon. They are very much deserving of the five star rating that they currently hold. Would definitely comeback on my next visit to Safety Harbor!

I sent R Salon a message and Anthony, the owner, responded immediately with openings. One for the the same day which was a Saturday. He also let me know they could take me earlier so I was on my way to Clearwater! Immediately upon entering the salon, I felt so at ease. Anthony was there to greet me and introduced me to Jenna who was going to be my hair goddess. She was awesome! So friendly and personable. She also did an AMAZING job on my hair and did exactly what I wanted. A few caramel highlights in my Wednesday dark hair. She offered wine and of course I couldn't say no. So I sat in my chair waiting for the color to develop, drinking good wine, in great company with the staff and other salon patrons. It was like happy hour in the middle of the day. Jenna did it right, she didn't take any shortcuts. My hair does not develop blonde quickly, but she worked well with it. She was patient and professional. I LOVE the color. And she was able to correct my bad bang job from my previous haircut. I Love my hair! I can't wait to come back here! Parking is super easy, pull into McDonald's and then park in front of building B. You will see the salon on the first floor to the left. It is super easy to find. There is a woman who comes here everyday, and she is the sweetest lady ever. She began to collect styling items but seemed confused and frazzled. The very first thing that she did was wet my hair down and put an obscene amount of moose on top of my head. I asked if it was going to be too slicked back and she said no. I figured she was the professional so I shut up. She pulled my hair into a low ponytail, braided one section and put my hair in a bun. My hair was slicked off of my face and so crunchy that you could see the comb marks. I looked like Trunchbull from Matilda. I wasn't wanting a complicated updo. If she is uncomfortable with updos, that is fine but she shouldn't take appointments for them. In the end, I looked hideous and paid $80+ for something I could have done at home in five minutes.
