I also want to mention Doug, who is an expert with remote switches, and Matt, whose help was vital in wrapping up the project efficiently. Highly recommended!

I requested someone come help me start my furnace pilot wasn't lit. they asked how old furnace was…read moreand gave me estimate of new one being $4k-$8k. Upon inspection they told me I need a new furnace. Never gave me a Detailed estimate just new boiler system along with a couple parts and $186/mo for 180 months. Or I could pay 14724. (Doing the math that's over $33k!!!) not sure how that happened. He also asked me to sign a waiver in case he broke the gas valve. I said no... don't take it apart you're replacing the whole thing soon anyway... I get a message that he removed it anyway and it broke I now need new parts when I asked him not to remove it! I got a second opinion new furnace is $5k plus labor. Trying to fix gas valve first and that part is only $90 not $700. When asking the comfort advisor(sales person) he said he sent the detailed invoice (I never received it) and could only say "labor is expensive." and "This is the best I can do". Very very disappointed

Chris from Sundance found a creative networking solution that perfectly suited our wifi network…read moreupgrade needs. His quote was higher than another company, but his solution for our needs was the most fitting (using the CAT5 phone wires already in our walls rather than laggy wireless relays, like the other company's proposal, which seemed like a novice oversight in retrospect). The installation team finished so efficiently that Chris gave us a substantial discount off our quoted price. I'm very satisfied with the results--we finally have solid wifi access everywhere with an efficient ethernet backbone, and a nice (Amazon) app to control it, too. The installer team led by Ian, were on time and did top-notch work. When they took the old network down to turn on the new one, I didn't even notice an interruption!! They were creative problem solvers on site and responded to our special needs and feedback as well. (They explained how to avoid Amazon Sidewalk at my request.) They even accommodated our children who showed them their favorite videos online. :o) Great team. Great experience. Great value. I would definitely do business with them again.

I requested work from Fair Lighting and Electrical to replace/upgrade my electrical panel from 100…read moreamp Wadsworth to a 200 amp panel. Fair installs Eaton panels. The owner came and gave me an estimate - he pulled the permit before he got here, so he knew what city codes were going to need to be adhered to. He was very friendly and professional. He showed me what was wrong with my old panel (water coming in), and explained everything he saw as we looked at everything. He explained I would need a grounding update, new panel, new meter box, and new service cable. He told me that per code, I have to have a CO detector by bedrooms and my circuit breakers labeled, but that I could do both myself and not be charged for that. He then listed line by line my entire quote and how much each item would cost. This experience was much different from the first quote I got from a different company: other company did not pull a permit, did not explain anything to me, and I had to wait for the quote from the company after the guy left, which was then not itemized. When I questioned the pricing compared to the first company I had, Fair explained what he thought would be the difference, but not once did he bash the other company. He also offered financing through my electric company, as they are licensed through First Energy. The four man crew showed up right on time on the scheduled date, and got right to work. All were extremely professional, courteous, and friendly. They even waved and said hi to my toddlers. Even when they thought I wasn't paying attention, they were professional. When they were done they cleaned up everything, and showed me the work. I was very pleased with the equipment, the installation, and the crew. I will use this company again should I ever need work done, and they will be the only electric company I recommend.
