We needed a place to grab a bite with the dog. The outdoor patio is so cute!! Food and service was fantastic. We have been to the indoor restaurant many times but having the outdoor space is great!!! All of the servers were working very hard and were friendly. Margaritas on tap is really cool.

Before I start on the food I do want to say that the service was great here. Our waitress was attentive and the manager was super sweet. However, I was served raw chicken not once, but twice. I sent back my chicken sandwich originally because it was raw, and then received another piece of raw chicken (pictured is the second sandwich). My friend also was served raw chicken in her salad. Also I would like to note that two of the others in our party ordered medium well burgers, and they were in fact rare. The staff is great but the food was a let down

The outside area is very cute and I have sat out there a couple of times during non peak hours. They don't take reservations on weekends so wait times can be upwards of 2 hours depending on when you arrive. Food wise we are always happy with what we get. I also love the fact that they always have a drink special where proceeds go to charity.

Stopped in for frozen drinks. My sister had the frose' and I had a daiquiri. Both delicious. We heard their guacamole and dress crab over it is amazing. We did not get it because we were just on a bike ride and wanted a quick cocktail

A little spot in LBI that quenched thirst and hunger. Drink was a bit weak. Street corn had too much lime if you like it.. the burger was ok. Fries weren't cooked well enough and needed a reorder. The crab cake was good. We had Ala carte and a sandwich. It was a nice visit to try a new spot. Ok vibe..ok food.

Underwhelming take out. Tuna poke was a joke! Foil ball with next to no tuna. Tons of chips though. Tavern Burger was okay. Salad was decent. Calamari was soggy but edible.

    The steam pot

Food was so so good! I absolutely loved the seafood, tasted really fresh and cooked well! The steam pot was $70 on a Friday night. We sat outside and listened to the live band playing. The food didn't take long at all, and our server was decent. She was a little bland and unexciting but I understand it was hot. Overall nice place!

Terrance Tavern is the perfect spot for a delicious and fresh fish dinner. They have some pretty good drink specials as well. My boyfriend and I got the steamers and calamari to start and what a rookie mistake. By the time we were done with the appetizers we were so full! Just made it more to take home and enjoy the next day. My boyfriend got the tuna steak that came in broccolini and we upgraded to chowder fries. Delicious, fresh, what more can you want? I went with a white fish sandwich served on a Hawaiian roll. So so soo good! Went well with the Tatar sauce and the chowder fries were absolutely delicious. I ended up taking most of it to go and it was just as delicious the next day. The fish was fried to perfection and I loved the pickles it was served with. Gave it the perfect fresh crunch. The servers were great, they also have a small bar area and an outdoor patio! Definitely check this place out when in LBI.

We love terrace and it's a must try when in LBI but unfortunately during our second time there in one week during our vacay, we had a not so great experience with a hostess in the backyard who was quite short with us after we asked the wait time, as well as a poor experience at the bar when a group of four adults openly swiped our bar seats as we were about to sit down :( With that said, the atmosphere here is unbeatable the rest of the time, and their mozzerella sticks and cocktails are great!

We came after a long day venturing around the island. We sat outside and listened to live music and had great eats. I got the French onion burger and it was really good! We also had the friend calamari and the Caesar salad which had anchovies on it, would definitely recommend that as well. Great spot and Delaware oyster is right next door if you want to stop by before or after! French onion burger Fried calamari Caesar salad

I highly recommend the outdoor dining at Terrace Tavern. It's very inviting and has such a friendly atmosphere. The service was great and the food was delicious. I highly recommend their HH where they offer a bar menu with items for $5. The portions are fulfilling and worth sharing if you don't want a larger meal. It is dog friendly, so if you're not a fan of dining with LARGE, medium, and/or small dogs that may occasionally bark, you can choose the option to sit inside. The outdoor music is a bonus with a live acoustic player playing familiar tunes.

A really great backyard ambience along with great stuff and service, they also are playing great music. We were just looking for a quick bite to eat And it was so easy & delicious. Definitely recommend!

The staff were rushed and rude and even the customers seemed unwelcoming. More recently, just a couple months ago, I went against. Figured it's been years and maybe I just had an odd bad experience. This new visit was just as bad. The person taking my order again seems rude, as if me eating there was an inconvenience to her summer vacation. As we waited for food I asked for a cup for water which they seemed surprised by. Upon getting my water another customer was annoyed since they apparently also asked for water and it wasn't clear who the water was for. The staff seems annoyed by both of us. When the food came, it was bland at best. My hot honey chicken waffle looked like no effort was take. The waffle looked like it was warmed up in a toaster. The chicken wasn't much better. I suspect it was a restaurant demo meal that they just warm up. The hot honey...none. Just a generic breakfast syrup. I asked if they had hot honey but the staff looked confused by the question. Apparently they haven't had hot honey for weeks yet they still had it on the menu. I had to settle for a hot sauce that they probably use on chicken wings...which also wasn't that great. Bad ambiance. Bad customer service. Terrible food. Of the places to eat o n the island, this is easily my least favorite.

Listen, before I get into this review, dear reader, you must know I'm someone who loves salt. I'll scarf down a whole bag of snyder's pretzel pieces (nearly 100% of your daily sodium value) at once! I love it so much that I won't be shocked if it's a problem by the time I get to my own "60th" birthday. Never in my life did I expect the jump scare of a salad so salty it made me nearly choke. My mother got the shredded cabbage salad. All of us had a bite. It was like mainlining Morton right from the blue container--a rush of adrenaline, a shock to the system. A stomach ache. My mother sent it back. I tried to enjoy my Caesar salad and my sister-in-law tried to enjoy her green salad, knowing hypertension is a slightly better fate than being branded a 30-something New Jersey Karen during peak vacation season. But it was so bad that surely it had to be mistake and they didn't know! It wasn't like this other times we were here. We should do the kind thing to tell them. So we made the mistake of telling the manager. And this is the reason I'm coming out of Yelp retirement to write this review. The manager alleged we were LYING, saying it was "quite odd" all three of us wanted to return our uneaten salads--send in Sherlock Holmes! We've got a mystery on our hands. They didn't eat their dinner because it made them feel sick. When I asked if she seriously just accused us of lying, she walked back and said "well, the chef said this is not a mistake. This is exactly how it should taste. And maybe every restaurant is not for every person." Quite honestly, I have never been to a restaurant before where I couldn't eat my meal--and then was scolded about it! I can't even recall a time I have sent food back. And after reading the reviews, it's confirmed I'm not alone. I will say, they did take the salads off the bill, and the server (not the manager) was lovely. I gave it one star because--in between contemplating a $45 kids meal--there was enough salt in the food to make my one year old nephew finally speak. Guess what he asked for? "Water"

The flavors were a little bland and the chicken was cut too thick, which made it less enjoyable to eat. The home fries that came with it were also disappointing -- they seemed reheated rather than freshly made, and just didn't have that crisp, flavorful kick you hope for at a breakfast spot. My friends had different dishes, but their reactions were similar -- nothing terrible, but nothing memorable either. We all left feeling like the food was a little underwhelming overall. The bathroom was serviceable but not especially clean, and while the service was fine, it wasn't anything that stood out as particularly attentive or warm. On the positive side, the decor was pleasant and gave the place a nice atmosphere. Honestly, that was probably the highlight of the experience for me. If Yelp allowed half-star ratings, I'd give it a 3.5 just for the vibe. All in all, Chicken & Egg isn't a bad place, but it didn't really impress. With so many options around, it's not somewhere I'd rush back to, but I wouldn't call it a total miss either -- more middle of the road.
