However, to me, this will always be best remembered as the city with the "the most awesome tarts evah" since even after spending 3 days here, the moment that stood out to me the most was eating Le Buro des Possibles' desserts! Though this place was amazing, unfortunately, I couldn't give Yelp credit for this visit. This place was too under the radar as despite having a 5 star rating, it only had 3 reviews and was located in a small quaint street away from the center. So in most cases, I would've probably never found it. But I've been lucky on this trip, as in this case, a store associate down the street happened to direct me to this cafe when I asked for a good pastry shop. And thank goodness she did because little did I know that in only a few steps this little spot would blow me away. Get them tarts and you'll see why. Their orange cream/chocolate ganache tart and lime tart were amazing with all the flavors spot on! I also liked that the crusts for both held their integrity despite being a mix of Graham cracker and Speculoos which added an extra layer of flavor to the tarts. At 4.5EU a piece, they were a steal and left me feeling full in the belly and, most importantly, full of happiness. Days after, I'm still talking about these pastries with my dad who visited the shop with me and anyone else who comes in contact with me. Though I was hyping up their tarts to the max, I can't forget to mention their teas. I got their The Des Posibles while my dad got the Mis'o Green (disclaimer: it's not related to miso in flavor whatsoever) and they were lovely! We received a whole pot and not only where they fragrant, but they were such a great compliment to the tarts which were on the sweeter side. The space was a nice spot to relax as it was comfortable and perfect for any hipster looking to get some work done (I think they rent out some space in the other part of the cafe?) haha. The shop owner working there and her daughter(?) were both very sweet and helped give stellar recommendations in and outside of this cafe. I say also outside the cafe because since we just so happened to be looking for a dinner spot for later on, we asked the locals where the best eats were as it worked out so well for us previously! The owner was a super foodie and was able to point me to a few of her favorites (I shall write about La Tupina later if I don't forget) in which we ended up visiting and enjoying very much! And because of all of this, taking a break at this little cafe with my dad will always be something I'll remember from my short trip to Bordeaux. I hope that others who visit this city pays a visit to Le Buro Des Possibles for a nice afternoon snack/break and a tart they won't forget!

We fin a seat in the back corner and wasn't sure if it was like the USA where you order up front or if it was more of a dining experience... A worker gave us a menu, and we waited... not sure if they would come by to take our order.... So we went up to order with another worker but didn't have to pay until we were about to leave. Kind of a confusing experience. I got their Matchagato, and my boyfriend got their Affagato. The two were so cute and delicious! We definitely preferred the affogato a lot more as the coffee was really strong with the mixture of the vanilla ice cream. The matcha was good but didn't have a nice intense flavor like the coffee. We also ordered their best seller cookie: salted chocolate chip (I believe). Delicious! Lots of chocolate with the salt balancing the sweetness. Great texture as well. A cute little cafe. I see more people ordering their other matcha drinks via Google so they must be known for matcha here. They also have seasonal special drinks such as pumpkin spice latte in November/December.

I do however need to dock a whole star because the barista said I wasn't allowed to use my laptop indoors after midday even after I paid for a drink. What kind of rule is this? Third, the eggs and bacon were very good (but it was just scrambled eggs and bacon). Fourth, the croissant was delicious. Maybe I'm just so happy to have gotten a regular breakfast. The shop is very nice and seems like a great place to work if you need to. Its spacious and the staff was very friendly. I'd make it a stop on your trip if you plan on having breakfast that isn't just a baguette.

Yesterday I took a friend and I got an iced matcha with a raspberry cheesecake and he got a cappuccino and the items were very presentable and IG worthy. There's free wifi and plenty of space. Located right next to the Saint Michel cathedral, it faces the open square and is surrounded by several other cute restaurants and shops. There is no seating inside, but there is plenty of seating in the square. It's a popular spot so there is usually a line, but the lines moves quickly. Of course, order your daily baguette here (we did!). But in addition to their fresh baked breads, they also offer some pastries such as classic French croissants, cannelés, madeleines, and more. I found their prices to be extremely reasonable compared to other boulangeries in the area (we did our own boulangerie crawl), and the service was fast and friendly.
