I've been searching for citrine, pyrite, and rose quartz for like a month now. It's a totally new woo-woo thing for me. Basically, I want a bajillion dollars. I started searching online but didn't trust Etsy shops and I definitely didn't trust Amazon vibes for this. Today is a rainy Sunday so I thought to go out and check a local shop. I'm so glad we got to go today. I took my son with me who can talk all day about science, rocks, and minerals. Seriously, ALL DAY LONG. The shopkeeper was so patient and kind and entertained all his questions and engaged him in info and teaching. It was just so nice. I feel like it is a good place for kids. There was actually another kid in there while we were there. It's a really big store. If you're into yoga or anything "energy", you'll really enjoy it. Even if you're not into woo-woo, it's got cute greeting cards, music, candles, and tons of books. There is a whole room of aromatherapy and lotions. I was able to get citrine, pyrite, and rose quartz as bracelets, crystals, and geodes. Success! I also thought the prices were super reasonable. We'll definitely be back. read more

Quaint, cute little shop with pleasantly friendly staff and lots and LOTS of goodies. I somehow ended up with $63 worth of crystals and the clerk didn't even bat an eye when I questioned it (meaning I was flabbergasted lol but she was totally friendly and offered to recalculate - and yup...... I definitely spent $63 on crystals.... that's how big their selection is!!!!). I mean their crystal room alone is like nothing I've ever seen. Huge selection. Also, they have a big selection of tarot/Angel/guidance cards - biggest I've ever seen and lots of rare ones too. If I hadn't spent so much on crystals I would've picked up a couple new decks. Small business at it's finest! Terra Christa has been filling the small void of metaphysical and spiritual markets for over thirty years! When I walked in, the shopkeeper immediately greeted us and told us where we can find different items which are located over several floors. They have incense, crystals, books, and whole sections dedicated to Native American and Tibetan traditions. Since I'm like .. so millennial...I immediately immersed myself in the very, well organized crystal room which had stones from across the world neatly arranged and labeled. My two-year old daughter was with me and she was just as entranced as I was. They kept their cool as she walked from display to display (with me of course) and even gave her a basket which I thought was really sweet. The selection is vast and they have so many beautiful things. I didn't even have time to check out the other rooms! But I was really happy with my purchases and I always feel so happy when I look at them. I'll definitely be back! read more

A beautiful shop! I'm surprised this was my first time coming in! Small selection of crystals but a large selection of essential oils and self care accessories such as lotions, body sprays, candles, etc. There was a lovely and extensive book selection-- I wanted every one I picked up! Tarot and oracle decks as well. A beat upstairs area of the shop has sage bundles, angel decor and statues, dream catchers, singing bowls. There was even a jewelry section with gem rings and eccentric earrings. I am so excited to come back one day. read more

Angela, is all smiles and very helpful in our quest to find something worth while. The music of Enya can be heard as we look around. A lot of new merchandise can be seen throughout the store. Although I have enough jewelry for now, it does not take away the beauty and magic each item displays. Upstairs Pavlina Gogueva is channeling precious stone. She is cleansing the stones of impurities. Evidently, a lot of people are sucking in bad energy. Everytime I am here, I love seeing what type of Dragons will be sold here. I was followed around with my sister by Heidi. I was wearing an alumni shirt from ONE of my two alma maters. I felt profiled as she stood there watching me shop for items and I didn't have a bag or anything. If I am going to "steal" from a crystal shop then I'm not enlightened and karma would not be a friend. Does she only see race? If so, this shop is not truly enlightened! After walking out of the store the sky seemed more blue and the grass seemed more green. A weight had been lifted off of me and my day had just been brightened. I'm traveling for work and had a rough day - something told me to come here. There's a private parking lot which was very nice and a cute green yard. Upon walking in I was immediately welcomed, when asked how I was and for some reason I blurted out that I was having a bad day. One of the women immediately ran to another room and came back to me with some Archangel Raphael spray. She asked if I had any allergies and then told me to spin in the spray, then gave me a warm hug and sent me on my way to browse the store. I felt like I could breathe all of a sudden. That simple act turned my day around. I found a ton of stones for great prices and picked up a few other accessories as well. What a cute little store! This is the best of its kind in the area. There is plentiful parking off to the side. The place is a bit expensive though. I bought a dozen crystals and a book and was almost $70. I'm sure it's an expensive store to run, but not sure I'd go back. There is a lot of serious objects (crystals, books, etc) but others are more generic cheap jewelry and lotions that you can get at hallmark, etc... I stopped in here because of a class I took at school about reiki and chakras. I wanted to expand my knowledge so I stopped in to get crystals and a pendulum. A nice place to stop in if you are walking through the town. They have a decent selection of stones, but not what you would expect based on the name. I struggled to put together a good Chakra set from what they had. I made due for a set I needed in a pinch, but now know to look elsewhere if I need something specific. Small, quant and a variety of items. No herbs, virtually no oils, candles or burners. The prices are a little high, compared to similar shops with more selection. I've been a devoted customer of Terra Christa since 2003 when I lost a crystal in the ladies' at work. Not only did I find a replacement crystal, but one fantastic source for aromatherapy products, an array of crystals from the inexpensive to specialized and larger stones, jewellery, gifts for nearly every religion in the book, cards, music and a huge array of literature, both printed and audio/video. Most of all, I appreciate the education I have received over the years from the employees as well as spiritual treatments and consultations from the owner, Mary-Beth, Michelle (Reiki), and especially Esmeralda, who has made such a difference in my life. How many boutiques will permit someone to just sit in the middle of the crystal or aromatherapy room for an hour, just meditating? I've done so after a couple of amazingly difficult days at work... I am a better person because of the influence that Terra Christa and it's people have had on my personal journey, and I will keep them close to my heart as a life-customer. read more

I've been a customer since I was...at least 2? My dad knew this pagan woman across the street who made herbal tea, so we'd stop in this store on occasion. That must've been circa '93. I've found everything from incredible tarot decks (even the same 1 my dad had from the 60's) to beautiful necklaces. They have beautiful smelling soaps and a wide assortment of crystals as well. Such an awesome shop! It's located in a two story cap cod house on historic Church Street. Every room has a different theme (Crystals, Aromatherapy, Native American, Buddha/Eastern, Angels etc.) They also sell jewelry, music, almost everything you need if you're into metaphysical and alternative spirituality. The selection of crystals is huge, available for handling, and most are labeled with handy cheat sheets of their healing properties. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. It has such a GREAT vibe - you just want to stay all day. They have private appointment rooms upstairs for Reiki etc. I have lived in the area forever and only recently went in. Honestly with all the angels, I thought it was a Christian book store and was just not interested. SO glad I discovered this gem of a shop. Will definitely be a regular now. read more

Love this metaphysical store! Every time I go to Vienna I stop in for a little inspiration and rejuvenation. They have a phenomenal crystal collection as well as tarot and spirit card collection. I've always been pleased with the number of Native American products as well. They have a lot of candles, bath and health products, books, trinkets, and jewelry. A good number of my own spiritual collection has come from there. I am a big fan of supporting local metaphysical stores, so if you are interested or just curious, this is probably one of the best ones, if not the best one, in the Northern Virginia area. Visited Terra-Christa for the first time this past weekend to pick up a gift for a friend. I didn't have much time and sadly wasn't able to visit the upstairs area but the downstairs was really quaint with a decent selection of various holistic and spiritual items. Loved the stones section, I could have spent far more time there if I'd been able. I ended up with a nice gift and am looking forward to going back to explore a bit more when I have more time. The last time I was at Terra Christa was sometime in 2012. I left VA for the West Coast in 2012; its now 5 years later in 2017. I kept meaning to write a review but my own priorities kept me from saying some very important things until today June 24 2017: 1) mocking accents is tacky when you are white and not from the culture. i dont care how much kool aid you have drank. stop doing it. i am talking to a few of the people that worked at the store and gave readings at the store. terra christa has a lot of stuff, books, etc. from places like India and Pakistan and other places considered spiritual and has that cool Indian or Middle eastern vibe. If you aint from the culture & are not a professional comedian, you cannot mock it. NO room for discussion. 2)way too white. saying it is way too white is a lesser form or lesser potent form of racism but that is pretty much the soul of their readings. Not sure all of it is on purpose but they pretend like we are all one and its all the same...um, no. just way too white. and a lot of them tried to befriend me to have like a cool brown friend. now that I sit to remember it all, yuck. the way i was treated by some of these white ladies. so gross. blatant racism. but all i can say is the things they talk about and the core of their problems are white people problems and it is important to stop pretending like racism is not an influence everywhere and that white people that wanna connect with you that are not exposed to the world, have ignored globalization, and have not seen the world as it is, are draining and just imposing their beliefs onto you. that classic Christian style thinking of " BE LIKE ME!...or else" " I WANNA MANIPULATE YOU". its weird. 3)there was 1 reader there that I liked and seemed to be actually gifted rather than knew how to read cards; her name was Dawn. She was VERY GIFTED. that is the only nice thing i have to say about this place. She was truly one of the few people I have ever met during my obsession(full blown obsession rather than interest in) with tarot readings, that just was so real in a "she is truly genuine" kinda way, would say she did not know things when she did not and did not give me a bs song and dance the way the others did, and didnt do any weird kinda things to get me to "follow" her like a lot of these people do but more so just helped me want to help myself leave unhealthy situations and people while tending to my own best interest so she was truly about being helpful in a supportive way that made me empower myself. This was a vital influence in my life at that time because I was trying to leave traumatic situations and abusive people. no not the kinda abuse like , "OMG so and so is like so mean. like omg." i am talking about hard core abuse and trauma. so for the help and influence to take the steps needed to leave all the abusive people to deal with their own crap, i say THANK YOU to Dawn. 4) THEY GOSSIP! its so weird to me that i would go to this place to try to find answers to questions so I could live a truly good life--a life that was good on the inside and good on the outside. where it all went together and any of the "bad"stuff of life was just part of life rather than having a influential power over me.yea. i just simplified my view of life but that is it! My issue with these women and young girls that worked in this shop is that they gossiped about readings they gave. so if i told one person one thing in a reading, i'd hear about it from someone that I did not have a reading with and they would being it up in front of other people. but that is a basic tactic used amongst mean white girls. i mean, its their (white women's)most basic form of antagonizing one another. but i ain't down with that kinda culture. i ain't down with racism. i just ain't down. this place just got so tacky because there was a missing baseline of respect for humanity for one another. let me type this last sentence again cause you all need to read it: this place just got so tacky because there was a missing baseline of respect for humanity for one another. all that and i just am sick of letting white people get away with pretending to be ignorant. you all know what you are doing when you are doing it. this brown girl aint down with it. namaste, y'all. & do learn what namaste actually means. its not what you all tout. read more

Beautiful store, friendly staff, wide selection. I love how the store is sectioned off, there's a room for crystals, one for candles and incense, and one for products in cases. I had a great time wondering around the store. For me, some of the items were a little pricy but I'm a broke college student so that's not saying much, but I do think they are reasonable for the quality this store carries read more
