On our day trip to Bainbridge, the fam stopped by to grab a quick lunch at Teriyaki Town, a throwback to the 90s style sit-down experience. The owner greeted us warmly and answered our questions. Ordered the #2 Hot Spicy Teriyaki Chicken and #36 Tofu Stir Fry. We grabbed some complimentary tea, ice water and condiments. In about 10 min, our order was ready and delivered to our table. First off the quantity of food is really meant for two. As for the quality, we found the #2 had a great char on the chicken and the spice level to justify. It was truly fantastic to taste. Comes with rice and a side salad (lettuce with dressing) #36 was nothing extraordinary, comes with rice. If you prefer a dish that true to its core without any sauce, this is for you. Solid place to stop for lunch on Bainbridge Island. There are a lot of places in this that seem overpriced, and this is not one of them. Really solid teriyaki for a reasonable price, and very large portions. I got the pork teriyaki plate and my mom got the chicken. The chicken was phenomenal! Super tasty, well cooked, not dry at all, nice char. The pork was decent, nothing super special but very solid. If I come back, I'll definitely go for the chicken. The teriyaki sauce was good, just a bit too sweet for me, but that could be just my personal taste. Service was very fast and the food was all fresh and well prepared. Owners are so sweet and they have a number of options on their menu from stir fries, yakisoba and rice plates. There's a decent amount of seating inside and there's seating outside as well. I ordered the spicy chicken teriyaki at the counter and a bottled Japanese green tea drink. The dishes are brought to your table when they're ready. The portions are huge! I think I had two chicken thighs with my meal and the spicy teriyaki is actually spicy, you can see the flakes on chili in the sauce. The char from the grilled chicken made it crispy on some bits. But if you're visiting, it's a perfect spot right in the Winslow Mall. Covered outdoor tables and indoor tables means you can eat here in any weather. After sharing that I just had recovered from the flu, Tony wouldn't let me leave without generously giving ginseng drinks that helped me feel normal again. Chicken teriyaki is very tasty and soft. Beef teriyaki is a bit dryer than the chicken. There was a lots of chicken in both dishes. I liked the noodle best, noodle texture is like ramen , more chewy than the Chinese noodle. The teriyaki sauce is very tasty but a bit salty for myself, lucky it comes with a lot rice. Wow! First of all I want to say it was my lucky day coming across this establishment. Friendly service and a perfect cozy place to dine in. Young gentleman at the counter was super efficient and friendly. While I was waiting they had multiple customers come and go and it felt like he knew all of them on first name basis. I have a couple friends who think the place has gone downhill since a change in management but honestly it still seems like the same old Teriyaki Town experience at its core - I could never forget the taste of their classic teriyaki + gyoza combo after having had it so many times. Although, the gyoza wasn't as crispy as I remembered, which was a little sad, not quite as good. Wouldn't recommend being too adventurous with your order here - they do a nice simple teriyaki plate, the rest of their menu can be a little hit or miss in my experience. I don't really love the flavors of their yakisoba or egg roll, seems like they're a little lacking in savory flavor/too heavy on cabbage instead. Good place for takeout, service has always been polite on the occasions where I've dined in. Their sauce isn't exactly like what most other teriyaki places I've been to serves, which could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on your personal taste - I don't think it's so different you'd run the risk of being seriously disappointed though. Some friends swear by their spicy teriyaki, I default to ordering plain but could go spicy if I was in the mood. Anyway, solid place for a quick takeout dinner, happy they're still around. read more

Love this place! I go there every Monday I order the spicy chicken plate with no salad but double rice. There is usually big enough portions that I take home 1/2 the rice and chicken and I get 2 meals for the price of one. The service is always fast and courteous. Even the owner gave me a bottle of siracha for a wedding gift when there was a shortage of siracha. I was happy they took time off to close to go visit their home town but I have to admit I missed my favorite lunch on the Island cant wait to they reopen next week! worth the wait that's for sure! My friends and I were looking for a quick lunch on our day exploring the cute island of Bainbridge. This place serves delicious Japanese food with large portions that is both fresh and flavorful. My friend and I shared the chicken terriyaki and pork yakisoba. The meat was super well marinated and blackened and the vegetables and rice were crisp and tender. This is some of the best terriyaki and yakisoba I've ever had and definitely was a highlight of our day. The staff were super friendly and the interior is simple but cute. There is free iced and hot water for your taking although I don't think there is a bathroom so we went to the nearby free art museum to use the restroom.
