Teriyaki chicken breast with veggies and noodles.
    Aly A.

Friendly service with hot and quick served food make Teriyaki Madness a great stop for quick dinner. We ordered dinners to go, and they were ready in less than five minutes. The dining area is casual, and while small, I would think people rotate in and out quickly. Our food was packaged nice and clean, with no worries of spills in the ride home in their plastic bowls with secure fitting lids, which is a nice touch. My husband had an order of the orange chicken with stir fried veggies and noodles. He liked all of the components separately but said he didn't think the orange chicken and noodles were the best combo, but he said it was his fault and should have ordered it with rice. Overall, it was delicious. I had the teriyaki chicken breast with veggies and noodles and loved every bite! The chicken had perfect char and remained juicy. The vegetable mix contained cabbage, broccoli, zucchini, carrots, and onion and were cooked without becoming soggy. The sauce they pack with the to go order was perfect to drizzle across the top. I feel like the prices are average but the value is great. The serving was plenty large enough for two meals. I would recommend giving them a try for a quick to go dinner.

The JR steak teriyaki bowl- gross steak was mushy and looked like dog food while the noodles were uneditable. Gross gross gross.

I am very honest when I do my reviews. I do my best to not exaggerate because I don't want false hope. This is my 3 rd time giving this place a try. The 1st time I didn't remember how many things went wrong and how the food tasted so not up to par. The 2nd time I ordered it was just my daughter and I and I thought I remembered good and yummy meal but one bite with my 3rd time today and all the memories of the taste and smells came flooding back. This food is by far one of the worst hibachi fast food places EVER. Our meal was close to $40. We ordered 2 JR meals - 1 chicken breast w fried rice and one steak with noodles minus the veggies on both, we also had 1 reg chicken breast w noodles and veggies. I also ordered a side of fried rice and 2 orders of edamame. So 1/2 JR meals was correct but the chicken was rubbery and flavorless and the JR steak looked like cat food (my 11 yr olds words not mine) and it was less then 1/4 cup of meat. The noodles was dry and rubbery. The REG chicken breast was prepared correctly but chicken was rubbery and cold and noodles where kind of crunchy but still editable. The extra fried rice was more of the dry noodles- so that one was wrong. As as far as the edamame they were not very hot and really puny pods w tiny beans and incredibly salty. I am sorry I don't know if it's the staff or the recipes or maybe a little bit of both but for the price and promises I expect a much better quality and quantity of food. Needless to say my family will never return to this chain again. My only hope is someone reads this and does something to change it or it will not last long in our town. We are a bit of food snobs and don't want to pay for bad food. If I could have given this a zero I would have. Oh I almost forgot when I placed my order it was correct but when I received my email receipt it had extra food added onto it. Not sure if this was an error or a scam. I did call the company and they corrected it. Well they said they did and I should see a refund in the next few business days. I'll be watching for it. If I don't receive it then I will think it's a scam. But for the good of people I hope not.

The fried rice is so good! The original chicken teriyaki is just so good. The smallest size you can order is called a "junior." I love that I could get a small portion since I don't normally eat a whole lot. The Yakisoba is just okay but it tastes better than the other Yakisoba I had. And they have a free teriyaki sauce on the table which is great!

Old chicken katsu and way too much salty cabbage.

The food was old, cold and plain gross. The food was overpriced. I was highly disappointed. Never against

I have to say that the staff is amazingly outstanding:) but the food in my opinion does not do any justice as far as taste, flavor and presentation:( I tried the spicy chicken, a very disappointing experience! The spicy chicken is spicy with no flavor other than lots of sugar, teriyaki and a somehow someone let it burn, because it had a lingering burnt after taste! My husband had teriyaki beef which was over cooked beef loaded with sugar and teriyaki:( the vegetables are advertised as diverse and fresh? Mostly cabbage:( Please cook fresh with flavor

Lightly breaded not really seasoned in my opinion but cooked almost perfectly. It was a pretty display how they batter and fry the skeleton but the sauce that came with it compensated for the lack is seasoning on the fish. General Tso's chicken never disappoints. Classic Chinese dish over sticky rice was really good and the broccoli was steamed to a great texture. Overall good experience here. Never had a bad meal or service from this place.

We were seating fairly quickly and when we got there it was just one other table, the waitress took out drink order and was really confusing about the diet coke (I am assuming they were out of the syrup but we asked for diet coke and she said yes then said coke so we were like no diet, and she said no, so we asked if she had diet and she said Coke) so we opted for unsweet tea. We placed our orders and my mom and sister received their food and then the waitress disappeared. Finally another woman came to the table and said the food was being prepared, but after 25 mins (my mom and sister finished their meals basically) my fried rice was brought out. Then not even two seconds after the other waitress brought the food, our original waitress came and took my sister's plate while she was still eating the banana roll. It was pretty awkward, no apologies, no nothing so idk if this is a normal occurrence or the first day for the waitress or if there was an issue but new tables came in and sat down and received their food all before mine came out. About 6 to go orders went out as well. I would've expected them to say something as an update but we were left in the dark. We were promptly seated and had our orders taken. We got chicken satay, gyoza, beef salad, pad thai, red curry and two sides of rice. Overall this is a good restaurant and we visit semi-regularly. I wouldnt say it is perfect though. Downsides for me: limited lunch menu (with smallish portions), hours change pretty regularly (they have a break between dinner and lunch), they stopped serving alcohol and most egregious: they don't have Coke Zero. But seriously, unlike most places they often dont ask you what spice level you want on a dish. My request for 'Thai Hot' resulted in a moderately spiced dish that required extra doses of chili flakes, which is sad. Prices are on the higher end for a Thai restaurant with a lot of add on fees (brown rice is a $2.00 upcharge, etc). Those small complaints aside, the food is good and the service is mostly very good. The restaurant is usually quiet and not super crowded. If you're in the mood for Thai I would definitely check them out!

To be honest, I usually have very low expectations of "hotel restaurants," but I will say Banana Leaves exceeded those. If I were staying at a hotel and this was my option for dining, I wouldn't be mad. However, I also don't think this would be my first choice for an Asian-influenced dining experience. They have dishes from a lot of different Asian countries on the menu, though I'd say it leans most heavily Thai or Malaysian, with room for Japanese sushi. The menu isn't overwhelmingly large but it is quite varied. It was fairly quiet when I visited in the middle of the day on March 4. A few other diners trickled in while I ate. Service was suuuuper sweet. Kind, respectful, and diligent. I did go a little while between finishing my meal and getting a check, but I think she was trying to be respectful of me finishing up my food. I wasn't finishing it because I didn't really care for it, but that wasn't my waitress' fault. She even brought out a few small pieces of fruit for dessert as well as a box for my meal. Very thoughtful. I decided to order one of their lunch specials as that was the most cost effective option. I selected the Thai Basil Chicken. It comes with white rice, a salad, a spring roll, and a cup of soup. I also got a Thai iced tea to drink because I can never resist those. The Thai tea was very pretty. It was not particularly sweet and had a fairly strong almost vanilla-like flavor. I do prefer mine on the sweeter side personally, but it wasn't bad. I was warned that the Thai Basil chicken would be spicy but I really didn't find it spicy at all except when I ate an actual piece of chili. Then, it was pleasantly warming but nothing crazy. The vegetables still had a nice snap but for me I thought the chicken was rubbery and I really didn't like the texture of it. I mostly ate veggies and rolled my nicely cooked white rice around in the sauce. Disappointed in the chicken. The spring roll was fine -- exactly as you'd expect. I didn't realize there was a small divot in the dish that held the sweet and sour dipping sauce until it was basically too late. Oh well. The salad was plain but I enjoyed the typical Japanese style gingery dressing. I was somewhat pleasantly surprised to see the soup was a wonton soup. That was nice and I enjoyed trying it though I ultimately found the wontons to be rather bland. Idk, 3 stars sounds a little harsh but 4 is too generous. I think that the idea is really there but just a few too things missed the mark for me on the execution level. If I were to return, I'd like to try some of their Malaysian dishes, as there aren't a ton of places around Huntsville that serves that cuisine. I appreciate the kind and polite service and calm atmosphere.

We ordered a variety of dishes to sample everything; shrimp katsu plate, chicken gyoza, chicken katsu, beef curry rice and tonkotsu Ramen. Wife is half Asian and said all the food was food for the most part. She enjoyed her Ramen and my Curry.
