Alaska roll
Lita G.

Decided to use a credit on DoorDash and this place had some good reviews if you really read through, and I'm glad I went for it. I decided to be adventurous and ordered 3 different things. - Alaska sushi roll, 5 of 5, best I've had in this area, and cheap too! Seattle and Japan spoiled my taste for sushi, so I rarely get rolls. This was great for a simple roll in the US - cheese wonton, 3 of 5, only because it got a bit soggy on the trip, I can't blame them as it's 15 minutes away - Hibachi fried rice with shrimp, chicken, and beef, 5 of 5, big shrimp and tons of meat, very well made This may become my new go-to for asian takeout

Clean, quiet. Drive thru option as well as delivery.

Small stand alone off main street. Food was amazing! Service superb. Large menu of different Asian cuisines. As I am out of town on extended business trip will be getting the opportunity to sample many more dishes.highly recommend.

Excellent menu: we stopped by for lunch after services and the crowd was limited but the food was one of the best Asian Cuisines we have had in Huntsville. Highly recommend the Cheese Wontons as an appetizer.

The food was decent but it all "came up" once I saw this "lil guy" climbing the Bamboo decor upon my exit.

Delicious food 10/10 I am never disappointed. Pot stickers & orange chicken are so good.

Hibachi Rice Box Combo with Extra Vegetables. Chicken, Beef, Shrimp, Scallops and lots of veggies.

I desperately want to love this place. I'm not sure if I just ordered the wrong thing, or just an off day for lunch. We called it in for pickup. I ordered the Hibachi Rice Box Combo Lunch no rice extra veggies. The veggies were great. Great variety, however it wasn't the typical hibachi sauce or veggies. It was really oily and the sauce appeared the be oiled based. The Beef (steak tips) was the best protein. The chicken was actual diced chicken breast but had a almost dry taste. Lastly the shrimp and scallops, were a complete no go. The shrimp didn't seem very fresh, and the scallops were the size on a half dollar and roughly 1/4 of an inch thick and super rubbery. The sauce that comes with is like a take on a Yum Yum sauce. It reminded me of a warm ginger dressing. The inside had a musty smell almost as well, and the sushi counter was cluttered with items on top and the "fresh fish" inside the cooler on display did not seem super fresh. When we come back I will definitely try the teriyaki beef with extra veggies, or the beef and veggies with sauce on the side.

The rating of 3 stars does not reflect the number of times I have eaten at Rice Box, both this and the Florence location. This is a terrific restaurant for a quick bite to eat in or to carry out. I have tried over 75% of the items on the menu, and have never been too disappointed in the quality and consistency of the food. The dining in experience is also fantastic, with a very low key environment to enjoy your meal. The reason for my 3 star rating is that their food is very normal as far as Asian food goes. They take no risks when preparing their food. This allows them to provide a very consistent experience, but not a very exciting one. Overall, I would recommend Rice Box to anyone looking for a quick meal, but would point you elsewhere to get an exciting meal.

My mom and I tried Sushime Asian Bistro today, and it was absolutely fantastic!…read more The power actually went out while we were eating, so we ended up having dinner in the dark, but honestly? It was still completely worth it. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls, BBQ bao buns, and the eel avocado sushi tacos. Every single thing was delicious. The egg rolls were crispy and packed with flavor, and the dipping sauce was so good I could have eaten it by itself. The bao buns were soft and flavorful, though one was a little cool in the center. The presentation was beautiful, and they were still very enjoyable. The real star of the meal was the eel avocado sushi taco. I originally ordered two and immediately wished I had ordered more. The combination of crispy seaweed, rice, avocado, and eel was incredible. If I could eat these every day, I absolutely would. My mom ordered the lo mein and loved it. They weren't stingy with the sauce, and the noodles looked amazing. Despite the unexpected power outage, the food was excellent, the atmosphere was still enjoyable, and we'll definitely be back. Finding a restaurant where both my mom and I can easily find something we love isn't always easy, so this is definitely going on our regular rotation. Highly recommend the eel avocado sushi tacos!

Now, I like sushi, but I'm also kinda not rich. Sushi runs up the check before I run out of hunger. So teriyaki and a lot of water. My wife, her daughter and son-in-law, and I needed to birthday in honor of aforementioned wife. Aki got good reviews on Yelp. None of us had previously tried it, and to end the where-should-we-go round-and-round, I declared for Aki and started the car. We could go back. It was very good. Mm. I can't remember exactly what we all had, dang it. My receipt doesn't say. But son-in-law and I both had shrimp and noodles. Get that. Very tasty brown sauce, plenty of pretty good shrimp (c'mon - this is northern Alabama, not the coast), excellent udon? noodles, perfect onions, sweet sweet carrot. Steamed rice perfectly sticky for picking up with chopsticks. Very savory, just right saltwise. And a salad with tasty dressing, even though it's almost the same dressing at almost every Japanese restaurant. Son-in-law, a strapping sort, ate it all there. I, old, had a whole lunch of leftovers, which were delicious. My wife got beef noodles, I think, but they were different, and didn't come with a salad. The sauce was a little lighter and the beef was robust, a perfect combination. Get that, if you can figure out what it is. (sorry) Daughter got a tuna and avocado roll with pink soybean paper wrapper. It was surprisingly big for the price, and she loved it. The store was clean, though everything was pretty worn - even the menus. Guessing it's because of the heavy traffic of happy people coming to eat here over the last five, I think, years it's been open. Even a couple of tables of seemingly Japanese customers, including one with four cheerful and entertaining kids. Bring the fam, I guess! Service was excellent. The store was very clean and comfortably lit. It was easy to find and get to. Didn't try the bathrooms. Parking was shopping center parking. It all works. Full check for four, water to drink, no appetizer but a tip reflecting the service: $84. Thought that was reasonable. Go there!

Last week, my daughter and I ventured over to Yoshisushifusion in Huntsville/Owen's Cross Roads for…read moredinner. We rarely have mommy/daughter lunch or dinner dates that don't involve sushi, and this night was no different. What can we say? We've long been obsessed with sushi! They have an extensive menu of small bites, nigiri, sashimi, sushi rolls, salads, rice dishes and more so it was (as usual) difficult for me to decide what to order. We made some great choices! Bacon Steakie Bun: If a bao bun is on a menu anywhere, I'm definitely getting it! This bun was gently fried, setting it apart from the many bao buns I've eaten. It gave a nice texture contrast to the tender pork belly. Delish! Brussels Sprouts: I don't think I've ever gone to a restaurant and NOT ordered these mini cabbage-like delights! These may now hold the number one spot for me! Lemongrass, caramel, sea salt, and lemon juice. Perfectly crispy outside and just soft enough inside. The balance of sweet, salty, and acidic made these flavor bombs our favorite dish of the night! Takoyaki: another usual favorite of mine, but these were a bit underwhelming. While these are probably more authentic with the spring roll-like filling, I prefer the creamy, cheesy ones. Kani Salad: Another go-to item for us. A simple salad that for some reason just always makes us happy. Spring mix, crab sticks, cucumber, tempura flakes, and a spicy mayo dressing. Light, but full of flavor and texture. Truffle Hama: Yellowtail, avocado, truffle ponzu, and candied garlic, served under a smoke-filled glass. I just can't express how delicious this was! I will order this again there 10 out of 10 times. Sushi: We started with a piece of Smoked Salmon Belly Nigiri. Perfect! We then had a simple salmon and avocado roll. A really good classic sushi roll with very generous pieces of salmon and avocado. Trash Panda Roll: tuna, salmon, mango, grilled green onion, and crunchy garlic. Good flavors with good texture. Paradise Roll: a soy paper roll (I prefer the soy wrap to nori) with spicy lobster salad, shrimp tempura, topped with banana tempura and mango sauce. Very different with the tempura-fried banana on top, but really good! I especially liked the mango sauce on top. I would order that again. It is a bit more of a drive than our usual Huntsville favorite of Oshi and our close to home favorite in Decatur, Sushi Sumo, but worth the drive occasionally! #HeatherEats #GirlsNightOut
