We arrived around 4:30, but there was a long wait as we were leaving. We ordered so much food, but the price was extremely reasonable for high quality sushi and our total bill was much less than I would've expected! The ambiance is pretty casual, but there were a few folks dressed up. Don't let the location turn you away, this place is worth a try!

I came in alone, sat at the bar, and ordered a beer, sake, and maguro and shake sashimi (I made a point to specify, since we've received nigiri by mistake before). The order still came out as nigiri, and when I asked to have it corrected, the server told me, "when you don't specify, nigiri is default." I reiterated that I had ordered sashimi, and he took the dishes back to the chefs just a few paces down the bar and said, "she didn't ask for this, but we need to redo these as sashimi." After that, I asked for my check because the interaction felt unprofessional. When he returned, he asked if I wanted the sushi to go, and I said no. He then went back to the chefs and said, "I don't know what's wrong with her," and asked them to cancel the order. I still tipped on my bill, but I left disappointed. We'll continue coming back because we've always loved this place, but I hope the service is more respectful and consistent in the future.

Considering the only other US location is in California, I was surprised and knew this would be my opportunity to try it! The aesthetic is modern & elevated with Japanese wooden features. I got 3 classic dishes which was just the right amount of food. I honestly recommend coming with a group to try more items since you know everything will be delicious. The Yellowtail Jalapeño is a signature dish; the yellowtail was delicate & buttery and the citrus soy with the bight of jalapeño made each bite clean, bright, with some subtle heat. I did not expect the Rock Shrimp Tempura to be that good! The shrimp was lightly battered & fried but the sauces were the highlights! Their creamy spicy is a very well-done spicy mayo but the butter ponzu was unreal! Super addictive, rich, and unlike any sauce I've had before. Shout out to my waitress for suggesting getting both sauces on the side rather than lathered on the shrimp, which also kept it crispy. Last but certainly not least is the famous Black Cod! The fish is super buttery and flaky; there were some caramelized edges from the miso glaze which added so much depth & richness to the bite. It's a good balance of sweetness, savoriness, umami that is bound to be good. All in all, so grateful I got to try what many call an institution and will certainly try more of chef Nobu's restaurants.

Some of courses were delicious and some were mediocre. We spent almost $700 for a party of four. The situation that needs the most improvement was the pace of the meal. The courses were separated by a 20-30-minute wait time. Considering that the courses were very small and contained 5-6 pieces for a party of four... that equates to a little more than a small bite every 20-30 minutes. The dinner took 2.5 hours to develop, and we were honestly still hungry by the end. The waiter started asking us if were "still hungry" at about the fifth courses. By the end, we felt awkward in asking for more. The wagyu beef was particularly disappointing as the beef was somewhat chewy, lacking taste and small. Waiters seemed to be near their capacity of workload. Didn't really take the time to serve, walk you thru the menus, keep the service moving or even gauge your level of satisfaction. We ordered dessert to celebrate the birthday. Apart from a small chocolate plaque on the dessert that said, "happy birthday", there was no attempt to celebrate the occasion as other less exclusive restaurants do... no "happy birthday" wish, no courtesy dessert... nothing special. The best part of this meal was by far, the young couple that accompanied us. Friendly advice: if you want to impress a client with something the feels exclusive... this may be the place. If you are looking for amazing food, being pampered and feeling your money was "well spent", try another place. I don't plan to visit this restaurant soon.

I originally had a reservation for the 15th, but they called me on February 12th - just 5 hours after I'd reached out - to let me know they had a last minute cancellation for the 14th. Being able to celebrate on my actual birthday was a great start. The service team was also very attentive throughout the night. Our drinks were frequently topped off, empty plates were cleared immediately, and it was easy to flag someone down when we wanted to order an extra dish. The front staff and the sushi chef both gave me a verbal "happy birthday," and I even saw a sticker behind the counter noting it was my birthday. However, it was disappointing that the acknowledgment ended with a verbal greeting. Later that evening, I saw the restaurant's own Instagram posts from the same night showing another guest being presented with a birthday candle. Given that the staff were aware it was my birthday as well, the absence of any comparable gesture made the experience feel less thoughtful and ultimately forgettable. As for the meal, the omakase was a mixed experience - some dishes were enjoyable, while others felt underwhelming. Having lived in California and experienced many omakase offerings, this did not feel in the same league. The reliance on caviar came across as more of a crutch to convey luxury. On a positive note, the mille-feuille cake was delicious, though the fruit jelly served alongside it didn't appeal to me. The atmosphere leaned heavily toward a social media driven aesthetic. The LV plates felt off putting and out of place in an omakase setting, drawing attention away from the craftsmanship itself. The music was also loud enough at times that it made it difficult to hear the chef's explanations, which detracted from the intimacy of the experience. If you're drawn to trendy interiors, luxury branding, and a visually driven dining experience, this may appeal to you. However, if you value a more intimate, traditional omakase atmosphere where the focus is purely on the craft and overall experience, you may leave feeling underwhelmed.

We were seated at the bar and were able to watch the chefs cut/cook our food and serve it right in front of us. Everything was so fresh and methodically thought of what paired well together. My only issue was there was a little too much wasabi in the nigiri. The fish was super fresh, firm and buttery! They had little palate cleansers in between some dishes, so it felt like we are a lot more than 10 courses. The way everything was spaced out gave us time to chat about how delicious the food was and our food to properly digest. The service was wonderful!! The place was intimate and nice and quiet. No need to scream at the person next to you haha. Overall, a great omakase experience! Glad I took my husband here for his birthday!

From the customer service and environment to the food and whiskey selection, I'm always impressed at how high quality of a long standing institution this is in Denver. Get the prime rib alongside a draft beer. We also ordered Tacos and Loaded Potato Skins as appetizers. I'd love to sit at the bar next time to dig into their whiskey selection!

I have been coming here since I was a kid and back then the place was packed with orange T-shirts and full of smoke. Fans would wield Bloody Mary's and cheer on the Broncos with Craig Morton at the helm. Now it is more refined and smoke free, but still a great place to enjoy sports. The classic Eggs Benedict has always been my favorite and what I get just about every time. You can't go wrong! In my younger days I would toss back a couple bloody Mary's but times change and now I mostly get Corvus Cold Brew, both drinks are solid choices. If you haven't been here you need to visit.
