BEWARE: DO NOT SEND YOUR PETS HERE! :( I sent my 10-month old Iggy to United Paws to work towards…read moregetting her service dog trained for my 6 y/o son who is disabled. SSI agreed that I could use his backpay to get our dog service trained as it was deemed medical services. United paws came out and assessed my pup for $100. I thoroughly explained that I'd be using SSI back pay from a dedicated account which can only be used for specific purposes, I also explained my dog's behaviors that I'd like to work on. Bre and the other trainer reassured me that they were confident they could help my dog gain more confidence and get on the right track, they recommended a 10 day board & train program then said we'd continue with at home training after that. I paid $1600 of SSI funds for them to board & train her for 10 days. On day 3 they emailed me that they were bringing my dog back early as she was disqualified from board & train because she had accidents in her kennel multiple times and that they only accept potty trained dogs. I was confused and concerned by this as my dog is FULLY potty trained, the only time she's ever had an accident in her kennel is if you leave her in there for an unusually long time such as 6+ hrs without letting her go out to go potty. They gave me 2 options the first option was to buy a new dog to service train, which was just unreal to me as why would I buy a new dog because you didn't want to take the time to work with mine? The 2nd option was to just do basic training at home with United Paws in which they would give me a "credit" for(not an option for SSI funds). I said I was concerned about how long they had been leaving her in the kennel and wanted my dog to be brought back immediately, I said I wanted a refund of the $1600 as they hadn't trained her and were sending her back after only 2 nights. Bre stated in an email that "All Sales are Final" per the board & train contract but yet United Paws breached that contract for disqualifying my dog for "potty issues" which is not listed as a disqualifying factor in the contract. Bre responded that they are dropping my dog off, but wouldn't answer any of my questions after that and completely ignored me. They dropped my dog off and wouldn't talk to me at all when I asked to discuss this issue. They literally took my son's SSI money and ran. Not only that but my dog came back shaking/trembling with a big sore/raw spot on her backside from where they clearly left her in the kennel for a long period of time in her own urine/feces. United Paws takes your pets to an undisclosed location with no phone number to reach anyone (major red flag) and traumatizes them. The only way you can reach out to them is via email and once they take your money they WILL ignore you. They are committing SSI fraud and taking advantage of disabled individuals. I will be reporting them to SSI and to animal protective services as they not once mentioned the sore on her backside which is very noticeable, they are obviously caging dogs for much longer than they originally lead on.

I've worked with and collaborated with the trainers at United Paws for months. They helped with…read moresome boundaries and behaviors for my boxer mix and general leash expectations. We've utilized their nail trim services which has been nice because they come to you! We have worked in tandem to assist individuals with mental health concerns and have worked collaboratively to provide ESA and/or service dog requirements and training to those in need. Highly recommended!
