I'm happy to see more breweries popping up along the gulf coast. We were in town for the weekend…read moreand stopped in on a whim and we're pleasantly surprised. There is a great selection of beers, the building is cinder block, but I'd simply and nicely decorated to give it the laid back vibe that you expect in a brewery. The bartender was friendly and helpful. There was also a good truck and I saw that later in the day there was going to be live music! I tried the flight of beer. You get to pick any 4 beers and it cost about $13. I tried the H-90, love bug, tart island and one more that I forget the name of. The H-90 was my favorite and the love bug was a close second. I really like sour beer and was pleasantly surprised to see that they had a few different sour beer options as well as wheat beers and even a nitro stout with banana. If you are in the area and want to check out a fun place with some unique, delicious beer stop in!

Their beers are top much and their food is freshly made and superbly delicious! The semi-industrial setting is perfect! My double double smash burger was cooked. Perfect perfection and incredibly delicious! My wife truly enjoyed her chicken quesadilla! He thought the chips and beer cheese were top notch! Highly recommended! Stop in, you won't be disappointed!

Food really good, service was awesome and the ambiance very nice too. I would go back again for…read moresure!

While in town for our yearly vacation, we decided on Woody's Roadside for a quick and easy dinner…read morebased on the reviews and pictures, as well as recommendations from a few locals. Unfortunately we were left pretty underwhelmed with the experience. It's not that Woody's is bad, per se, it just isn't...good. The service was great. Our server, Jaclyn, was very attentive and helpful. She didn't hover but she made sure we had what we needed and was nearby if we had questions or requests. Jaclyn recommended the margarita, which is where things started going downhill. My dad ordered a classic lime margarita and didn't take more than a couple drinks of it. We all tried it and agreed it just had a nasty flavor. Sort of like bad white grape juice? It was weird, and of course there's a little asterisk on the menu that notes all alcohol sales as final. We were unimpressed with that but didn't even try to argue the point. Our food came next. It was actually incredibly fast service, especially considering the 30-top that was seated when we arrived, with their orders given to the kitchen right before ours. Everything was hot and fresh, though not all delicious. Here's a run down of my family's reviews of their food: Build-A-Burger w/ Amer. cheese - A bit too thick and tough like the meat had been slightly overworked, but it had a great flavor and was seasoned well. The edges were burnt and it was well done, not medium well. Good beer-battered fries. Spicy Hawaiian chicken sandwich - Very flavorful and tropical but the toppings made the bun soggy and the ratio of filling to bun was way off, even with ham and lettuce removed. Crab cake tower - The fried green tomatoes and sauce were great, as was the corn bean salsa that came with it. The crab cakes were good too, though nothing special. The shrimp on top were juicy and well-seasoned. Wouldn't go back for it though. Korean pork tacos w/ mac & cheese - They were okay. The slaw included was a bit too sour but the pork was juicy and flavorful. The mac & cheese was too bland. Chicken strips & fries - The chicken tenders were cut wrong so they were hard to eat. I had to cut them up with a fork and knife to get bite-sized pieces that I could chew. They had a good flavor but the technique needs some work. The beer-battered fries have a strange seasoning on them that got more unpleasant the more I ate, but everyone else liked them, so that's probably just me. This is one of my least favorite restaurants we've been to on the Gulf Coast, which is unfortunate because I honestly thought I was going to like it a lot! For the price, I don't think this is a great place, especially because it's pretty out of the way from the main drag(s).
