I don't know why this place has only a 3.9. The service, staff and food are always excellent. This is the closest to authentic hispanic cuisine you will find in the area of Polk and Paulding counties. Everything we have tried on the menu is excellent, you get huge portions of food, and the prices are very competitive. We tried the "Mexican restaurant" across the street (across Hwy 278) and there is no comparison except to say THAT restaurants food is bland and "fast food"-like, whereas Tequila has scrumptious and flavor-some meals. read more

We have been regular customers for years and have always had a good experience until last night. My husband ordered the same meal he always orders, but this time, it was 1/2 to 1/3 the typical amount of food. He paid for a dinner portion that looked like a snack amount. We tried eating here instead of our usual Mexican place. First thing we noticed is that it is very dark inside, which we didn't care for, but that's just a personal thing. My husband and I both dislike cilantro and were disappointed that the salsa has a definite cilantro taste to it. I got the Speedy Gonzalez and the beans were a bit too runny to eat with the fork, but were perfect as a dip for my chips. This was my second time eating here and since I normally write a review only after visiting a business twice, here it is. I was greeted & seated promptly upon arrival by a friendly staff member. Within minutes my sever came over to get my drink order and ask if I had any questions. After ordering I was brought their free house salsa & chips which were excellent. The chips were still warm and the salsa was fresh and had the perfect amount of heat to appeal to just about anyone. My food was brought out in a timely fashion, maybe 4-5 minutes and it was delicious. Portion size is ample for the very reasonable prices and I was well pleased. We go here at least once a week. Isabel is our favorite server, although we haven't had a bad one. The food is cooked to perfection!

Very surprised on this visit. Ordered. Staff was very nice-as normal. Returned to pick up. Young lady with glasses was not as much. Every question she asked...what did you have...what is the name...do you remember how much it was...oh I just got here she said...When I told her -she repeated the same question...Really. We come here often and the food is always good! The customer service has always been good, too! Until today. We got charged $3 to bring home an extremely tiny bag of chips! Our waitress wouldn't just bring us extra chips to eat at the table, instead we had to pay for the chips. Never have I ever heard of that before. Very disappointing! This is my favorite Mexican restaurant of all time. I'm so sad that I moved from Rockmart to Kennesaw, because I haven't found a place I like as much. There are also locations in Hiram and Dallas, but it's still a bit of a drive. At the Rockmart location, everything we ever ordered was excellent. They had awesome ceviche, which the others don't have. My favorite was fajita steak tacos and the burrito tapatio (roasted pork and beans with cheese and pico de gallo). There is another Mexican restaurant across the street, but they are more expensive and the food is bland. If you happen to be in Rockmart, go to Tequila. Staff is super friendly and attentive, it's just the best place. I miss it! read more

Rockmart location You decide: Wait 10 minutes for service, charges for refills on fountain drinks. After waiting 30 minutes asked server what was taking so long on our food. His answer was the cook was on break.. when we finally got our food found a bug in our burnt food. Then to top the evening off we asked to speak to a manager.. the manager "is on break and went home".....if i could give negative stars I would. For the record this was between 5-6pm read more

The food was awesome! We came in about 6:30 on a Sunday evening and the place was dead which worried us. However within 20 minutes the whole place was packed. The salsa is delicious and fresh and I couldn't get enough. For my entree I ordered the Chili Colorado and my husband ordered the combination 3. Both of our meals were great. Their re-fried beans were very tasty. All the entree's came to our table cooked perfect. There is another Mexican place across the street. Do yourself a favor and eat here. I have been to several Mexican restaurants lately with lazy approaches, such as using a powdered mix with water only requiring just adding avocado to it to make guacamole (it's NOT good). When I asked if the guacamole was fresh the manager assurred me it was, describing how they made theirs to ensure it's what I wanted (I wanted chunky/Texas guacamole): He even gave me a container of the smooth guacamole for free to try! While waiting for him to grab my food, I overheard another customer complimenting his waitress and the service! This is one of the best Mexican restaurants I have been to, and has the best food of all of the Tequilas restaurants in the area. There is another review that says that the head chef taught the cooks at all of the other locations, and I believe it. While I like the food at all of the Tequilas restaurants, this one has the most varied menu, including the favorite of both my father and I, the Abel Special. The staff is courteous and the restaurant is kept extremely clean. The bar is separated well from the rest of the restaurant. read more

My husband and I have been here multiple occasions over the last year. We went in for Dinner around 4PM on 12-10. My husband asked for a Speed Gonzales we asked the charge since it was after the 3pm cut off for lunch specials. The waitress Melissa told us the charge would be $1.00 plus. We received the bill and we were charged $8.20 , a speedy costs $5.25, I asked the waitress about the bill and she told me there is a .25 cents upcharge for soft shell taco. I said we had never been charged before for soft shell her response was there is always a charged and she charged us for a #6 combination plate- 7.95, she nastily said there is a charge. I explained to her we did not receive a combination that should include rice and beans. She was ugly. I recommend that you check pricing before you order. Do not let the waitress Melissa wait on you. She never once came back after food was delivered to ask if our order was okay. I had to get up and go find her to get honey mustard for my chicken fingers. There was no manager around to speak with. I will go back with my bill next week during the day to speak with a manager. read more

Absolutely horrible! The food is very greasy and tasteless but the place would still be an o.k. place to grab a margarita if it weren't for the service. I have been going on and off since this location opened and have NEVER gotten good service. I complained one time to the manager and he wasn't interested. It's odd to see people coming and going while you're still waiting for service. You can forget about ordering a second round of margarita's. Once the food is slapped on the table you won't see your server again until they finally arrive with the bill. I have finally learned that they just don't care and will never go back. read more
