I had a great meal after a day out at a work site. The Camarones a la Diabla was a great choice. Plenty of shrimp, rice, and guacamole salad. The corn tortillas were just right for the portion size. The guacamole dip was delicious. My server was very attentive and the time from order to hot & fresh on the table was very quick. The entire dining room staff was very friendly and helpful. A very clean and comfortable dining room with just a bit of background noise was a relaxing and comfortable dinner. read more

My husband and I along with a guest ate here last Sunday. We ordered taco salads and my guest ordered a Quesadilla. The salads had a little unflavored hamburger, a little lettuce , 4 little squares of tomato. It was completely bland and tasteless. I thought quesadillas were deep fried but this was like raw dough. She didn't eat it. Will never go back. I will say our waiter was great! read more

The absolute worst place you can order food from. These people actually blame their customers for their mistakes! if you don't have something in the bad and u let that door shut behind you they won't give it to you. It's literally posted in hand writing on their door now because they get SOOOO many complaints from their customers they are not treating their customer as the problems! YOU FORGET TORTILLAS ANYTIME WE ORDER. U BURN THE SHIT OUT OF FOOD it's soo hard u can't eat it and won't replace it. Guess that's my fault too right? GO ELSEWHERE! read more

The service was mediocre at best. The bar drinks were clearly not mixed or made correctly. The food was cold with no flavor. The patio was nice and quiet. The server did apologize for the mishaps we informed her about. I would not recommend this location. read more

Food was bland constant flys around table and it smelled like a big poo farted a dead animal inside the restaurant. Server had constant cough read more

Fast and friendly service. Street Tacos were really good. I will eat there again...................

I'll begin by saying we enjoyed everything we had. That started with the thin chips and salsa. The salsa was perfect - not too spicy and I only got one hint of cilantro. I got lunch special 1 - a chili poblano, a taco, and beans. The poblano was quite large and had great flavor. I had asked for a chicken soft taco but got a hard one served to me. It was also good despite not being exactly what I ordered. My husband got lunch special 5 - supposed to be a burrito and a taco. I say supposed to be a burrito because he got what seemed to be an enchilada. It was folded and not very much filling was inside and it was covered with enchilada sauce. Burritos usually have more filling, are rolled up to be eaten by hand, and don't have sauce unless they are a "wet" burrito. Because the filling was skimpy, he was still hungry and thought it was overpriced for what he got. The place is pretty small inside, but there is another room outside. Service to our table was slow. Two tables that arrived after us got their food before us. Just an FYI - we were told the lunch specials stop at 2, not 3 like most other places. read more

For a little place in a strip mall next to Walmart outside of town, this place was a pleasant surprise! Let's just start with the chips which were thin and crispy, so addictive to eat! I should have had nachos with this chips! I had the enchiladas verdes with chicken. The plating was nice! I love it when the kitchen takes the extra time to make your food pleasant to look at before you dive right in. I finished every bite in my plate, so you can decide what I thought of the food! Yum! read more

The good: Chips are fresh, thin and crispy; Service is nice and quick; Quality and quantity of food is good; The not so good: Everything was bland, under seasoned to no seasoning; Margaritas were meh, plus who puts a cherry in everyone of them? Salsa was crushed tomatoes with pepper. read more

Great local place. Always great service and friendly service. Best authentic tacos in town.

Starving beach volleyball athletes and they don't know how to make our food right. Haven't been fed since 8 am and they're messing up the orders. Service bad. 0/100. If it's mid I will write a follow up about how it ruined my day. Give me some fucking sustenance. read more

Party of two arrived 26 minutes before closing time was told it we have things to do and we have things to clean up. Antigua Mexican Restaurant - Chicken Street Tacos & Modelo Especial - Mexican Near Me - Rome, Georgia

Satisfy your hunger with a stop at this no frills Mexican restaurant. We were on a road trip and adventured here for lunch based on yelp reviews. Our food did not disappoint at this busy, intimate strip mall joint. I'm not sure why it's rated five stars, but when considering the options in the area, that might have something to do with the rating. Please don't misinterpret, the food is good, but not amazing and that's what qualifies for five stars in my opinion. read more

Great food, good service, awesome salsa. But their portion sizes gets a thumbs down. When I've got substantially more tortilla than meat, there's a problem. No where near the portion size they gave when they first opened. read more

The food has a great taste, the staff is always gracious, and the restaurant is clean. The proportions are small compared to other Mexican Restaurants. I have only got a carry out order once. I will not make that mistake again child portions are bigger. The price is obscene for the amount of food in a go order. Never again!! read more

By far, BEST MEXICAN IN TOWN. And I've been to all of them. I've told all my friends about this place! The food is consistently fantastic, and consistency is important. Service is always spot on. Had the Quesadilla Texana and it was AWESOME!! Salsa and chips was too!! Service was AWESOME too!! Small place, but with the drive!!

I was suspicious of the 3 recent (excellent) reviews but I was in the mood for Mexican - and it was super close - so I jumped in. Arrived early, 5pm on a Wed, and to my surprise, there were several patrons already dining. Small place, 4 person bar, but promptly greeted and given a select booth. Wasn't sure if they offered draft beer since I didn't see any beer handles, but they do! 5 draft beers if I remember correctly, in 3 different size frozen mugs. I'm "drinking" my carbs these days instead of eating them, so I was looking for a great dish that wasn't a salad but lacked chips, tortillas, rice or beans. Well,,,,, I found it (with a slight modification). On the Especial menu, it was the Texas Hot Cheese (or Top Cheese, can't recall after the yummy beer) and requested lettuce in lieu of the rice and beans. Perfection! Steak, chicken, shrimp, onions, mushrooms, and spinach under melted cheese and my lettuce was topped with pico de gallo, guacamole and sour cream. Delicious! Service was excellent, beer was cold, and the food makes me want to come back for more, very soon!!! By the time I left (5:45pm), all of the preferred seating was full. Who else can say that on a Wed night when it's less than 40 degrees outside?? read more

Quick, quality, full of flavor Mexican food. Friendly staff. Would recommend to anyone who asks.

The first time I ate in the restaurant, it was great. I stopped in for a to go order for me and my husband. The guy at the register had a hard time understanding my order but was very friendly and finally got it. He went out of his way to get my order the way I wanted it. I give them 5 stars for that. BUT I couldn't believe the small portion they gave me on my fajitas and also the beans and like 6 pieces of shredded lettuce. My husbands was ok except the salad portion in his chimmi changas. The food tasted great. read more
