Additionally, when I first called to make an appointment, someone actually answered the phone and they were able to get me on the calendar within a few weeks. I could not be happier with any tradesperson than I am with Dan and his helper Brandon at MX…read moreElectric, who work together well on most of MX Electric's residential service calls and implementations. First, Dan knows his stuff and will only do things the correct way. He focuses on current and future plans and makes sure to allow flexibility for continuing projects when completing the requested work. Second, they are meticulous in preparation and cleanup, exhibiting respect for your property and belongings, covering all surfaces where needed, cleaning up after. Third, Dan is very familiar with home security systems and can help design the right camera placement for your property. He is honest and doesn't try to persuade you to do more than what is required just to increase costs. Fourth, the quality of work Dan does is top-notch. There are no crooked fixtures/switches or loose wires. They always focus on safety and never rush through and leave anything unfinished, even late on Friday afternoons! MX Electric is lucky to have these professionals in their company. As a picky homeowner, I heartily recommend MX Electric whenever asked who I use at my home. They always communicate with me in a respectful manner when I ask questions or have (too) wild ideas. I can not recommend MX Electric enough.

I used AA Marshall to inspect the home I was buying on the recommendation of my real estate agent,…read morehaving heard nothing about them previously. They did the inspection with the water turned off and failed to notice that the dishwasher was disconnected and would not work. Worse yet, about 6 months after moving in my new house I found a large spot of water damage behind the furnace, which was quite easy to see and had been there for a few years (according to my contractor). It is full of mold, plus the damage goes into the floor and drywall. Since the inspection warranty expired 7 weeks after I closed, they will do nothing about it, even though I can prove the damage was there when he did the inspection. Now I am stuck with a repair bill of about $3000. Use someone else.

What makes this even more impressive is that I live out of town and handled everything over the phone with William, the co-owner. From our very first conversation, I could tell he was knowledgeable, honest, and committed to delivering top-quality work. We worked out all the contract details remotely, and when I finally met him in person on the first day of the project, he was exactly who I had come to trust over the phone--professional, straightforward, and a man of integrity. His team was phenomenal! Every worker assigned to the job was skilled, efficient, and respectful of my mom's home. They showed up early every day, put in full days (sometimes even longer), and left no detail overlooked. There were no hidden surprises, no delays--just honest, high-quality workmanship. Finding a contractor you can trust, especially from a distance, is no small task. But I found exactly that with CU Midwest Designs. If you're looking for a company that delivers exceptional results with integrity and professionalism, look no further. I HIGHLY recommend them for any home construction needs!

I am writing a review about outstanding service from Daren at P&P Heating and Cooling Service,…read moreMahomet, Illinois. We have an American Standard furnace that is 9 years old (originally installed by a different, now-defunct heating company). I became suspicious of the aging inducer motor as it was loud and, suddenly one cold day, we were no longer getting heat and the red-green LED indicator lights on the furnace were flashing a code for service. For HVAC service, there are many providers in our area, but we went with one based on a recommendation of a family we know--we chose to try P&P Heating and Cooling Service. Scheduling was easy with great help from office manager, Stephanie, and we met Daren as he arrived, right on time, to help us out. Within a few minutes, he confirmed the diagnosis of a bad inducer and left to get one from his warehouse. A few minutes later, Daren called me and told me great news: he had the exact motor needed for my furnace (so we didn't have to wait for an ordered motor) and, in the meantime, he contacted American Standard directly for us and had the new motor covered under our American Standard warranty! He went above-and-beyond, in our minds, by doing this for us. I sincerely feel that Daren treated us with the same honest care--including checking the warranty coverage--that he would provide for himself or his own family. We are extremely pleased with our first experience with P&P, and will call on them for our service needs going forward. One day, all of us homeowners will be in need of service, and it is then that the value of a reliable and honest local provider becomes crucial. Our family has found that with Daren from P&P Heating and Cooling.

After reading through the other horrible reviews, I have to say, they are 100% accurate!…read more Everything before install was fantastic. A 2 day install turned into 2 weeks with lots of no shows from the installer and an extra $1,400 in cash given to him for things he claimed were extra. Getting ahold of the owner was not easy but once we did get ahold of him, he did apologize and seemed like he was going to make sure everything was made right. He took $700 off our final bill. Once the installer was done, we had to call to ask about getting all the cabinets adjusted aka straight. They did come out and do that. After about a week, we noticed the pull out trash can was hitting the pantry door next to it. Luther sent a guy out to "fix" it. The "fix" worked for another couple weeks until it gave and started hitting again. Then it l came off the track. We obviously haven't been able to use it since (so after just a few weeks). You can see in the picture below that it's crooked. Getting ahold of them was extremely difficult but when we did, Luther told us it sounded like a spacer wasn't installed between the two. We kept hearing they would get back to us. Eventually they stopped answering our calls. Before the holidays, months after the issue and not being able to use the trash can, my husband got the idea to call from his work phone. They of course answered, not knowing it was him and told him they were looking into a solution. Again, we were ghosted for months. My husband stopped in last week to give them another chance to make this right and Luther Falls was far from professional and wanted nothing to do with working towards a solution. He called my husband awful names and told him to "F our cabinets," while walking away from him to avoid a conversation. I then made a Facebook post to let all my friends and family know about our situation and the terrible treatment we had received. Luther commented saying we were liars and that we broke it and didn't notify them until 6 months later. Obviously that is not the case. We are honest, hard working people who tried to give a company chance after chance to make it right. We never dreamed that we would be treated this way. We've remodeled 3 homes now and never had any issues with anyone we've worked with! Also, we aren't 100% sure our bottom cabinets are even the color we ordered. We picked charcoal grey and our receipt says that but these are navy blue. We never even had the chance to bring this up to the company because it's been the least of our worries.
