First, Dan knows his stuff and will only do things the correct way. He focuses on current and future plans and makes sure to allow flexibility for continuing projects when completing the requested work. Second, they are meticulous in preparation and cleanup, exhibiting respect for your property and belongings, covering all surfaces where needed, cleaning up after. Third, Dan is very familiar with home security systems and can help design the right camera placement for your property. He is honest and doesn't try to persuade you to do more than what is required just to increase costs. Fourth, the quality of work Dan does is top-notch. There are no crooked fixtures/switches or loose wires. They always focus on safety and never rush through and leave anything unfinished, even late on Friday afternoons! MX Electric is lucky to have these professionals in their company. As a picky homeowner, I heartily recommend MX Electric whenever asked who I use at my home. They always communicate with me in a respectful manner when I ask questions or have (too) wild ideas. I can not recommend MX Electric enough.

Additionally, when I first called to make an appointment, someone actually answered the phone and they were able to get me on the calendar within a few weeks. We were told they would get to us, but it would be a couple of hours as there were a few jobs already ahead of us. They arrived in what we considered a very timely fashion, especially on a Saturday afternoon. They listened to what I explained as the issue, observed the clean out, and knew exactly what to do. They ran the auger approximately 100 feet and you could hear it breaking through the tree roots. Upon retracting the auger, the roots were very evident on the cable and the claw. The service guy was very friendly and explained what he was doing through the whole process. He was extremely willing to answer all my questions. We were expecting to pay $500-$600 for this kind of service on a weekend. I was very pleasantly surprised when he said it was $305. A Guy named Jake came out and he did OK but when I finally got the proposal he made an error on it. So I had to explain to to him what my Heat pump system was again which was not a variable speed as he figured but it is a 2 speed Trane 18. And I said I wanted to know what the furnace would cost (and the model number) and what the gas line would cost and what the air cleaner would cost separately broken down. He said his boss wouldn't do that. Well I never heard of such a thing. I've never dealt with people who won't tell you individual costs. That's wrong. You don't just bunch it up all together and say this is your deal. Every other HVAC company I have dealt with for this expensive 5 figure job has broken it all down and explained what the gas line would cost ...what the furnace would cost....and what the air cleaner would cost and a gas exhaust and intake and what my Mothers furnace would cost. So I found another company who has been very nice and professional and were more than willing to break all costs down like professionals and they are getting the job. I didn't even have to request them to do this. They just do it. So I do NOT recommend Kelso.

I am writing a review about outstanding service from Daren at P&P Heating and Cooling Service,…read moreMahomet, Illinois. We have an American Standard furnace that is 9 years old (originally installed by a different, now-defunct heating company). I became suspicious of the aging inducer motor as it was loud and, suddenly one cold day, we were no longer getting heat and the red-green LED indicator lights on the furnace were flashing a code for service. For HVAC service, there are many providers in our area, but we went with one based on a recommendation of a family we know--we chose to try P&P Heating and Cooling Service. Scheduling was easy with great help from office manager, Stephanie, and we met Daren as he arrived, right on time, to help us out. Within a few minutes, he confirmed the diagnosis of a bad inducer and left to get one from his warehouse. A few minutes later, Daren called me and told me great news: he had the exact motor needed for my furnace (so we didn't have to wait for an ordered motor) and, in the meantime, he contacted American Standard directly for us and had the new motor covered under our American Standard warranty! He went above-and-beyond, in our minds, by doing this for us. I sincerely feel that Daren treated us with the same honest care--including checking the warranty coverage--that he would provide for himself or his own family. We are extremely pleased with our first experience with P&P, and will call on them for our service needs going forward. One day, all of us homeowners will be in need of service, and it is then that the value of a reliable and honest local provider becomes crucial. Our family has found that with Daren from P&P Heating and Cooling.
