As a casual tennis player, Tennis Express is a shopping paradise for me. They have all the rackets, clothes, and shoes you could possibly need to go out and start hitting. I love that they have an indoor court for you to demo their rackets! I got a Wilson Blade from here a while ago because of a trade-in special they were having and I was very happy with the level of service received and the stringing. I also enjoy getting shoes from here. The workers are happy to answer any questions you have regarding shoes and will bring out as many boxes necessary for you to try. The only complaint I have is their shoe "benches." They are super tall for no reason and make putting on shoes incredibly inconvenient and difficult. I think they should replace them with lower seating to improve the customer experience. Other than that, definitely stop by here for all of your tennis needs. read more

Tennis Express was what I need in order to get a couple of tennis rackets restrung. They are located right outside of beltway 8. They have plenty of free parking. Ordered a pair of On Roger Pro 2 sneakers. Received them on time. Tried them on and they felt fine. Wore them for about an 30 minutes going from home to the tennis courts, and started to feel pain at the 5th metatarsal. I Googled the sneakers to see if it was me or others were experiencing the same issue. There were already several posts about the same issue. I contacted T.E. and asked if they could provide the contact information for On USA so I could provide feedback about the manufacturing defect. They said they didn't have a contact for me to call. The rep said if it was uncomfortable to simply return the sneakers for credit. I returned the sneakers and received an email that they were charging me a 20% restocking fee because the shoes were not clean. I contacted CS and explained the email I received never indicated I needed to "clean" the sneakers. Otherwise, I would have. After going back and forth with the rep and her "Supervisor", she agreed to give a full refund because of the email I received that didn't mention or require I clean the sneakers. They even have tennis courts where customers can try out rackets, which was amazing for our son. As complete novices, my wife and I didn't have a clue where to start. We were browsing around, looking a little lost, when one of the staff members came over and asked if we needed any help. Since it was busy that day, they offered us the option to either wait or come back later after they finished stringing the racket. We decided to explore the area and grab a bite to eat while they worked on it. When we returned, the racket was ready, strung and customized perfectly. They took him over to their indoor court area and encouraged him to hit a few balls to see how it felt, making sure it was just right. The entire experience was excellent. I have ordered and received numerous items without issue but recently ordered a pair of pickleball shoes, they arrived, I realized they were not what I thought, I immediately put the one shoe I had taken out of the box back in the box, resealed, secured a return authorization same as received and dropped returned off following day at Fed X location. I received a email communicating to call about my return. Sara at the return department stated that the shoes were not in new condition and I could only get a store credit. I only had one shoe in my hand for less than a couple of minutes, not sure how that made them not new. I don't liked being lied to. The good news is that the online operation will always take your money quickly. The bad news is when you actually want the item. Tennis Express was once reliable online and in person. Now, only go in person. The online site has devolved into a black hole on anything with low inventory. If you decide to gamble on a low inventory item - and you should not - you will have a devilishy difficult time after they take your money with no intent to fulfill. Just a warning. Now my shoes have not arrived but FedEx says they delivered the package with just a picture of my gate. They have the worst online purchase policies! They make returns so difficult and keep you on the phone for over 15 minutes for a simple return to get a return label. They have all these rules for exceptions of returns and applying coupons they send you. They will tell you one thing one day and then tell you another thing the next week. I would never buy from them again and I've been a customer for decades and not realize why I seldom buy from this company because my memory waned over the many years.. I probaby had a bad experience over a decade ago and stopped buying from them and then tried buying from them again since they solicited me online.... even on What's App. The other tennis stores like Midwest Sports and Tennis Warehouse have MUCH better customer service online, they do not take forever to approve a return label, and products are usually less expensive and better stocked in those stores anyway. I also can't stand the way TE advertises discounts for certain products and when you get to the webpage, they don't even identify the size of the shoes or apparel until you put the item into the cart. The management must be control freaks since they do not give any lateral decision making ability to the telephone reps. They have to put you on hold for every little nuance such as combining orders for returns into one box, approving a discount code, etc... no wonder they have meek sounding telephone reps and supervisors who are in a quandry of what to do on every single situation. The management doesn't allow their staff to use their own brain. I would guess that this company out of all the online tennis stores will go downhill and out of business within the next 10 years. read more

Amazon is one of the best so far but I like to shop smaller retailers. I sent this today Sept 18, 2024 I have purchased from Tennis Express over the years and the last purchase I did this month, Order # 6082510 for tennis shoes were way too narrow when I tried them on. i was going to return for a better fit but found out the shipping cost was $ 34.00, so I held off. When I called the other day your representative said that I could not return them as it was a final sale which I was not aware of. (my fualt) That would have been okay if the shoe had fit but they are way too narrrow. If this their policy, then I will shop at other stores that have a product fit warranty.
