This place is awesome for fresh fruits and veggies! Great prices for good produce. Love the fresh seasonal offerings. Stocked with everything you need from an Asian market, from sauces to noodles to canned/packaged goods. This place is busy for a reason! I make a point of buying my groceries from here whenever I'm in the area. Tiny parking lot, so I usually park in the residential area. Credit card accepted, yay!

I call this the chaos on Victoria Drive more than the plaza which houses the London Drugs. If your ever cruising through this part of town on any given day, especially on the weekends and your on 34th and Victoria, and you wonder what the heck is going on, it's probably the people trying to get to this supermarket that are causing the double-parking, crossing the street, people turning right (or left) which is holding up more cars and busses with people walking through the crosswalk stopping cars, and all crazy-ass affair to try to get to their location (which is here). Word to the wise, park a block away, or you may start swearing under your breath, or swearing out the window before you even begin your shopping for groceries. This place is practically the Chinatown of the drive. As like every grocery store, this one puts their produce outside for you to shop, usually you will see the locals come to this place to pillage what deals they can get, as the produce is pretty fresh from what I saw. Once you enter this market, you will see everything from more produce, to canned Chinese goods, to dried noodles, to a packaged butcher shop in the back. I even saw facial products hanging on one of their display rack's, weird, but I guess this place is more convience store for the local folks than I thought. From people knowing the old routines of not lining up to pay for the daily Chinese newspaper and dropping their coin while the cashier is taking money from another patron, it's sheer chaos that works. The walkways aren't as roomy as your superstore, and you have to maneuver yourself between the tight spaces and the people who are shopping in the isles, some of them of age, and using walkers and any other assisting devices, so there is an art to shopping here. Definitely for the locals of this area, or if your in the area, it is your one stop shop, the only thing it doesn't have is cooked food from my visit there.

Entrance ... stands with bedding plants (veggies, herbs, and such).

In Illinois, we used to have many IGA's in smaller towns, especially in the more rural parts of the state. They were always reliable little grocery stores with a good selection of your basic needs and many were put out of business by Walmart. Imagine my surprise to find this gem in a bustling Canadian city! There was a really nice selection of produce, as well as anything else you could need from the grocery store. The deli counter had a great selection and the person there was really charming and helpful and giving some recommendations on salads I have not heard of before. The store seemed very clean and efficiently organized for maximizing what can be offered in an urban grocery store. Plus, as an American, it was m fun to walk around the aisles and see what's the same or different.

**Update 8/28/26** Oh, how my opinion of this store has…read morechanged over the years - and not for the better. When I first moved to Vancouver in 2017, I came to this store a few times when I was shopping nearby at Canada Tire, and this store was my occasional go-to for individual items. I never did the bulk of my grocery shopping here. That said, I found this store to be pretty decent for the occasional bag of sugar or carton of milk (see my review, below, from 2017). But every time I've been here since, I've had a negative experience. EVERY TIME. So much so that I purposefully go out of my way NOT to shop here. Ever. This is my least favorite grocery store in the city. I've encountered rude cashiers here, mis-priced items, minimal store staff to help me find something when I needed it, consistently overpriced items, and yes, the paid parking is the proverbial straw on the camel's back. Yesterday I was reminded of all the reasons I dislike this store. I was going to a dr's appointment nearby and wanted to buy some flowers for my dr (she just returned from a protracted maternity leave). It was early (8:40 am). There was no staff in the small floral department. I browsed all the bouquets and potted flowers and plants and chose a mid-range ceramic pot with healthy, colorful flowers in it. (They have some really cute ceramic planters and very healthy flowering plants here. Nice!). I wanted to put a little card in the pot that says "Welcome Back!" (you know, those free small rectangular cards you get at ANY floral dept in ANY grocery store or florist, with the plastic stick, stuck in the soil of the planter?). Since no-one was manning the floral counter, I took my potted flowers and reached over to get one of the small cards, and I was looking for a stick. Immediately a male employee was at my back, saying I can't get that! I showed him the potted flowers I was purchasing and said, oh, I am buying this pot, I just need one card and stick to put in the soil, it's a gift. (Weird how the employee was immediately there when I was getting this, but when you need an employee for assistance here, they're never around). The guy says that the cards are only for bouquets of flowers, NOT the potted flowers. (This makes no sense whatsoever. The potted plants range in price from $5-$30+ for the potted orchards. Many bouquets cost less than this. Yet they only give the little cards out for bouquets? Really? When the potted plants cost the same or more than bouquets? What?). The guy added, if I wanted a gift card for my potted flowers, it'd cost 50 cents. Like, WTH, these little cards are free at EVERY floral dept I've been to in my entire life! And to add insult to injury, when I said okay, I'll buy one, they didn't even have any of the sticks to place the cards in the pot! Like, what's the use of a card if you can't place it in the pot???? Oh, but my story doesn't end there. I brought my potted flowers to the cashier since the self check-out wasn't working for me. The girl at the cash rang up my flowers at nearly double what they cost (they were on sale. There were tons of sale signs posted prominently in the floral dept). I called her out on it and she scrolled through her phone at the store circular to find out, indeed, yes, these were on sale and the price that was rung up on the cash was very off. Took a while for her to find this error and then re-ring me up at the correct price. For a 5-minute side trip to this store to get a little gift for my doctor, from beginning to end, it was such a negative experience. All I can say is, if you do shop here, know what you need as it's usually next to impossible to find people to help you, know that most employees here are not friendly, know that the prices of items are usually higher than comparable stores, know that the floral department is a total joke, and definitely watch each and every price when they ring you up. (This was not the first time I encountered a big discrepancy in their advertised price vs. what they charge you for items at the cash).
