They are not only the best group of physical therapists I have ever come across, but they are a lot of fun to be around. When common methods don't work, they work hard to come up with new (and sometimes entertaining) ideas to help you get better. I have recommended multiple people come here. They have already helped me get back onto mat faster than anyone expected. I have another surgery coming up and I plan on going back there to recover. The only negative is that one of the women who works the front desk is a pain to deal with. But you don't go there to deal with the people at the front desk, you go there for therapy. And since the therapists Gene adn Steve are top notch, problem solved.

When I spoke to Olga at the front desk she told me without hesitation that they took my insurance. Fast forward 2 weeks, I get authorization to begin PT, I take off of work to go to my first session and come to find out that this doctor is not in network. The lady at the front desk was not very nice or understanding to begin with, and frankly am glad that they don't take my insurance because I don't know if I could see her 3 times a week. Sorry, but be more respectful to your customers and don't answer questions that you don't know the answers to.

I was really excited to begin my rehab journey at Function Enhancing PT (FEPT). My experience…read moredidn't seem to match those of other reviewers unfortunately though. The care itself I'd give an incomplete. I don't have anything bad to say as it seemed helpful while I was there. I did not finish out my rehab here so I'm honestly not sure how I would have ultimately fared if I had stayed. Administratively and communicatively speaking, this place is a mess. To outline some of the failures I experienced... 1.) I had an experience where one of the staff members was multitasking when I was trying to book my next appointment. I was given the day and time of my appointment. I wrote it in my calendar on the spot. Apparently, either the wrong date and time were recorded on their side or I was given the wrong info. I showed up on the day of the appointment and the office was completely closed. Mind you, getting to the establishment is 40 minutes round trip for me. When I reached out after to express disappointment, I was told by the staff I was called several times and that my appointment had been for the day before. Turns out, the number I provided on my first day was not recorded by the office correctly to begin with. FEPT did not try to charge me for the visit but there was an undertone of blame lodged which was unsettling. 2.) Upon initially reaching out to solicit care, the office staff plugged in my insurance info and informed me of my co-pay. Several weeks in, the staff asked if I had received any checks for services to my mailing address (I had not). They informed me they hadn't received any reimbursement and it was coming back as out of network. Puzzling given they ran my information before I began my rehabilitation and I was in-network. Out of fear I was going to get some surprise bill, I called my insurance and it turned out that the therapist FEPT originally submitted paperwork for was not the one who was servicing me. I don't know what the in-house structure is among the PTs, but either way, FEPT were submitting the claims wrong initially and this created yet another headache though this was ultimately resolved but not without time and effort on my part. 3.) I noticed after my initial PT sessions were approved, my insurance only approved 3 or 4 sessions at a time. Going twice a week, that meant my sessions were expiring every 10-14 days. This seemed unusual so I called up my insurance (again) and the reason I was given was that FEPT had failed to provide sufficient information to clearly indicate where my progress was and the insurance company was made to believe I was close to the end of my needed treatment. I was nowhere close to being finished. I'm not sure internally who was responsible for this, but clearly the insurance had not received what they needed to process more sessions at a time when more were needed. 4.) This brings me to my final issue and it's related to the above. As sessions were regularly running out, the staff did not stay on top of this. They would wait until I would finish my last session to seek authorization for additional ones. I would run out of sessions and then be told that I would need to wait a few extra days again before booking my next one so they could request more. This would mean in that week, I would not get in my normal needed treatment thus extending the timeline for my recovery. My insurance also informed me they do not require all sessions be used to seek authorization for additional ones. Once this happened the last time I was there, FEPT said they would call me back after they received authorization and would book my next appointment. They never called and needless to say, I never went back. I went elsewhere. I could nitpick about some overbookings or the fact that I could never get the same appointment time, but those were minor in comparison to the above. I hope my experience was an isolated one, but it sure seems like this place has a lot of work to do.

When I requested medical records, I received no response for three months. I then texted and called and was met with unfounded hostility and gaslighting by Dr. Nicolai himself. I was told via text that they lost my medical records "Unfortunately, no we do not have any medical records on your case." This is illegal. Providers in New York are required to keep medical records on hand for a set period of time. When I pressed, he said he lost them and "sorry, I cannot help more." So I called. He said "Samantha, you need to find your own doctors," in which I said "I have my own doctors. What they need are my medical records." He said he doesn't even have records of date of my appointments and continued to gaslight me. If you are reading this, please know you have rights, and those rights include your medical records. After one initial visit (believing in chiropractic services over the last 30 years without hesitation), I have now had doubts on the validity of their internal practices. While DOCTOR FERNANDE is definitely empathetic and truly wants to help heal your maladies, their internal staff and practices are very questionable. My second visit there was because of an auto accident and after the internal staff was very alluring on the outside the inside has much to be appreciated when rotten. I was readmitted after my accident, as a new patient under insurance terms instead of personal payments and the price hike was astounding. After trying to adjust or at least be seen they told me that I should revoke my admissions to their office simply because my insurance wouldn't take it instead of paying my regular cash only price that I was originally offered. IRS, are you watching? I highly recommend no one ever step foot in this office they are not out for your well-being they're out for your money and they will only see you as far as my experience here go, if you have insurance issues that will pay their higher insurance prices. What a disappointment to the chiropractic community! My report to the medical board and better business bureau won't be so kind as this review

When you enter the Complete Body gym, there's a juice bar and then you proceed downstairs into the main lobby. Right away, I was struck by how Dr. Lee genuinely wanted me to get better, asking me questions and doing a thorough assessment. I have to admit, I was a little scared at first because you can tell he's a strong guy. But after turning my limbs and applying pressure, Omg did I feel relief..
