The hallways are wide and bright, and the rooms include closets and bathrooms, not unlike a hotel room. The dining area and common area has high ceilings and very roomy, a nice piano and book shelves and water/fruit stations, a large TV. There is a game room and outdoor patio on 2nd floor. STAFF I've had nothing but good interactions with staff. Importantly, it appears they have a full staff because one of the problems with SNF or the like are that they are understaffed. I've never seen that be an issue here. Always cheery and attentive. Part of the benefit of a place like this is keeping a tight routine, and they do so very consistently, with respect to meds, treatments, food and activities, FOOD Pretty standard but good. The dining area is kept well. The servers are very nice and attentive. I ate with my father-in-law once. Not bad. PARKING Street parking, no lot, but I've always found a spot. COST Reasonable. I've seen higher costs for lesser care, that's for sure. ACTIVITES They seem to really keep it going. Like any institution this can get a bit repetitive and perfunctory, but they seem to keep on top of this. My father-in-law participates and enjoys some of the happenings. Origami, I believe. Do your own due diligence, of course. Anybody making the placement decision for someone should contact the applicable regulatory bodies--City, County and State--to find out about licensing status and any public violations or other concerns. I've been to a lot of these places over the years. It doesn't take much thought to realize that it's not easy to work at, let alone manage a place like this, for obvious reasons. We saw the staff member go back to "check" and claim they didn't have it. Months passed and we called again to check and they somehow found it shattered in pieces. We were not provided an explanation of how it became shattered and the most disgusting part of this situation is that the statue was left with her hands holding up her middle fingers (and the rest of her fingers removed). Based on how the statue is designed, it would be impossible for this to be an accident from the shattering. This deliberate action is so slimy and left a bad place in our hearts.

Where will I go after this hospitalization? Think about the anxiety and tension not knowing where I would be going. As an 84 year old senior citizen, this predicament could be considered filled with debilitating uncertainty. The social worker and case manager both offered information and possible dispositions. One of the referrals was to Giselle Placement Help. In fact the workers gave me a tip to start off with Giselle. I called her first and she gave me three referrals one in Lynnwood and two in the San ​ Fernando Valley. One never called back , one said I was not eligible , and the third was to an administrator who arrived at the hospital at 12:30 p.m. . After extensively interviewing myself he spoke with all the nurses and doctors in the unit and then inform me that I would be eligible to come to his facility and showed me pictures of the private room where I would be . He was extraordinarily kind and made sure that every need that I had was going to be met . In addition he actually helped me move some of my belongings . So you can see that this referral took care of enormous uncertainty and perhaps Karma is involved in making such a successful transition . ​
