This place is absolutely awful. They cancelled my appointment to pick up my trays without telling me. When I asked to reschedule they said no. I called a week later and a girl apologized and said she's going to escalate because the next appointment was a month out. She never called me back. It is now almost two months, my teeth have shifted completely and I still can't get an appointment. They don't answer the phone. I emailed tend and they told me I'd get a call. I never did. I'm going to be calling my insurance company and credit card company to get the money back and get my teeth fixed from a real orthodontist office that cares about their patients. I decided to check out TEND because my dentist of 10+ years went out of network due to changes in my insurance. I can't afford to pay out of pocket for something that can be 100% fully covered. A co-worker mentioned TEND so I made an appointment at the Chelsea office. The first red flag is they are INCREDIBLY hard to get on the phone. After booking my appointment they emailed me saying they were having issues verifying my insurance and to give them a call before my appointment. I did 3x and was stuck on hold, requested a call back that never happened and I ended up going to the appointment early to sort it out. We finally verified my coverage and the appointment started on time. The girl at the front desk was very nice. No complaints there. When you do get customer service to help you they are professional and friendly. I disliked the exam area's " openness ". The studio has two sides with "rooms" for each patient but no privacy. No curtain or door so anyone within earshot can hear your examination. The technician was friendly but too chatty for me. The conversation was too personal for a professional setting IMO. I was there for a routine cleaning, the first thing the technician needed was x-rays. I understand as I was a new patient. It was one of the most cumbersome and uncomfortable experiences with x-rays I've ever had. The device she was using was too big for my mouth it was very uncomfortable and took way too long. She had to retake several images exasperating the situation, I have a high tolerance for people poking and prodding but by the end I was super uncomfortable. Then we moved on to the cleaning. It was a thorough cleaning my mouth felt well TENDed to. However, the feedback I was getting as she was cleaning my teeth.. Let me just preference this by saying I have gone to the dentist 2x a year since I had teeth in my head and NEVER did I have a technician scrape at my teeth the way this lady did. She acted as if I hadn't had a cleaning in years and asked me twice when the last time I saw a dentist was. There was a bit of "teeth shaming" I felt. She pointed out a chipped tooth I had repaired when I was a kid and grinding wear on my teeth. Basically, after the cleaning I was told I should (1) invest in a night guard, (2) remove my molars (that don't cause me any discomfort and no other dentist has ever pushed as hard as this lady was for me to see their oral surgeon (3) that I should see a dentist 3x a year instead of the standard 2, (4) get the chip on my tooth repaired and then (5) my gums are also degrading and I should look into veneers. This was all BEFORE the actual dentist saw me. When the dentist came she took a second to review my x-rays and pointed out 2 small cavities on my back teeth. According to her the molars I have most likely impair me from cleaning those teeth properly and I should have them removed. I have not had a cavity in 20 years, now I have 2? Also, she used no tools or even poked around in my mouth. Dentists usually exam your teeth themselves by pushing on them with tools etc. She only looked at the x-ray and circled a grey area on one of my teeth.... OK I just nodded and smiled and went along with the whole show. It was clearly a bait-and-switch routine. TEND's business model is to pray on your insecurities and make you think you need all this extra dental work done. I will be taking my beautiful cavity-free smile elsewhere. Buyer beware. read more

EDIT: responded to their DM. No one has reached out so don't be fooled by these responses. I went to a routine cleaning since then and they've called me for other reasons though. Will be finding a new practice EDIT 2: 4 months later, I get another bill for a few hundred $ for a CT scan. I told them I was not made aware of this charge prior to getting it done. They waved some of the bill down to $75 (co-pay and something else). I asked why I'm paying out of pocket again and was told that I've reached my maximum allowance for the year. My orthodontist never showed up to my scheduled appointment. I waited there for fifty minutes. I was told that management would contact me that day -- they did not. My emailed complaint went unanswered. I called, was told I'd receive a response that day, and am still waiting two days later. Nice idea, poor execution. Started off great. Found a good hygienist I really liked. Liked the facility. Always a problem with appointments being canceled, however. If you book months in advance, they cancel your appointment with little notice (and after several confirmations) and you can't get back in for months after that. I've even had an appointment canceled the day of and then told I have to wait 3 months to get another one. It's so frustrating. You get charged a fee to cancel within 48 hours but they cancel with 4 hours notice with no way to reschedule in a timely manner. I can understand having to reschedule, but at least allow a reschedule within a week or 2 of the appointment, not 3 months later. Don't bother with the cancelation list either, they don't actually contact you. If you want to get your teeth consistently cleaned and on a schedule, this is not the place for that. They are backed up with months long waiting lists and there's no point to making advanced appointments because they just cancel them anyway. After 1.5 years I give up and I'm now looking for a new dentist. I also had 1 of their dentists try to upsell me with an unnecessary treatment. Made me not trust the dentist, but the cleanings were fine, which is all I needed. Recommend getting a second opinion for any procedures/treatments. I scheduled at the UES location, they gave me an estimate of service and scheduled me for Flatiron. I took off work for my appt, showed up, and they estimate have jumped up $1300. No call for confirmation, no update on pricing, just rudeness and matter of fact attitude. They blamed it on thee flatiron office being "out of my network". read more

I do not recommend any Tend location. I had braces for 7 years during my childhood and have been told I have great teeth. After about two years at Tend I started getting an alarming amount of cavities and comments on my teeth, and their most major claim was that I should get BRACES. I should have left right then and never returned. I had braces for 7 years along with retainers, expanders and headgear so I knew when I was being lied to. But I still stayed with Tend until late last year, when I started having immense pain in my tooth with such bad sensitivity that it had me awake all night sobbing. I went in to get what I assumed was a root canal, but instead, I had two separate Tend dentists give me a filling for a "receded gum" - Downtown Brooklyn & Grand Central. Finally I was sent to the Flatiron office for an appointment after I still had unbearable pain (it hurt to drink anything colder than "hot") and they finally agreed that I needed a root canal. Turned out 90% of my root was dead.. I finally get the root canal, my insurance gets charged twice for over $2k - and they don't even give me a crown!! Dentist told me I might have a crack in my tooth and would require another surgery down the road, but made no mention of a crown on a back molar.. I had to bring up needing a crown, and the dentist seemed surprised by the suggestion and then agreed with me.. WHAT!? Safe to say I cancelled my followup appointment - which was for a year after my root canal - because this place is a scam. I've moved dentists and have received the proper care elsewhere that Tend failed to provide. Please avoid this practice at all costs. read more

Update: I got my appointment back for the same day, just a little later in the day. All went well so I guess there is nothing really to complain about other than the fact that there is no phone number for each location. All calls have to go to the main Tend customer service line then they redirect inquiries and issues then call you back after (or get the studio to call you back directly later). Original review: Skip the procedures that would take more than 1 visit. My appointment for my first invisalgn bonding was made on 5/9 for 6/17 and was cancelled on 6/12. When I called in, the earliest appointment to reschedule to is 7/15. I only ever bought into this whole thing because I was given a time frame that they provided. At this point i am convinced they are more interested in getting $5k in treatment fees interest free. read more

I cannot recommend Tend at all. Their customer service needs to be improved. There is no way to call their office directly, instead you have to go through the customer service line. I was told many times that someone would call me back and they never did. Finally, when I wanted to switch dentists, they made it so difficult to get my charts and x-rays sent over to my new dentist. Their offices are not as luxury as their ads let on. They are pretty open floor plan, so you hear all the drilling and everything from all the other patients in there with you. My procedure after insurance, by Tend's estimates, should have cost $277 (estimate I received last Tuesday at the Rockefeller Tend). I put down a $250 deposit. When I got to the Flatiron Tend two days ago, the receptionist said I owed $50. Not the $27 I thought I owed, but I wasn't going to ask about a few dollars. The receptionist then charged me $300, not $50 (email receipt so I didn't see it until later). Tend will not refund me because they "have to wait for the insurance provider to pay. After it is processed, [they] will reimburse any overpayments". I do not think this is a fair way to approach payments at all. The receptionist made a simple mistake. I just want Tend to reverse her erroneous charge and charge me the difference after the deposit. I have sent several emails trying to resolve this and I feel like I am being sent around in a revolving door. read more

Don't be fooled about the ads or branding, please stay away. You will be paying 5k to fight to get an appointment. They cancelled over eighty percent of my appointments stating a weird reason, and then their next availability is in a month. They book you into the wrong locations promising its ok, but cancel again stating that its the wrong location. Your 8 months long ortho service will be 3 years. The same dentist is looking after 300 people. Don't even try to see them if there is an emergeny or if you lost your tray or the buttons they install on your mouth breaks, it would be more convenient and cheaper to take a flight to Turkey and get it done there and come back. read more

Incredibly upsetting experience that has been dragged on because of lab delays, inflexibility with scheduling, and last minute cancellations. I started the breezy braces process with them in June of 2022. They estimated 12-14 months, it seemed like a better option than Invisalign. It's now almost Dec 2023 and at this rate will not be over for another 4-6 months if they can't fix their scheduling/lab issues ASAP. Things take longer, I get it, I'm a nurse and I understand the process is unpredictable - but everything has been avoidable - it's a systemic failure on their behalf each time a delay is imposed. This whole process makes me feel like I got duped into a VC-funded, Instagram-able start up that doesn't really have the backbone to support orthodontics, only to run a business. It looks nice on the outside - pretty rooms, high-tech gadgets, nice advertising - but it's half-baked and dysfunctional on the inside. My bottom teeth have been without braces for well over a month now - no retainer, nothing holding them in place. I can tell they have shifted, as expected, and my dentist confirmed this. I was meant to get the new retainer on Nov 14th, they cancelled, citing lab delays, and now that it's ready the next appointment available isn't until Dec 28th. Even if I were able to go in TODAY to get the the retainer I'm not sure it would fit, but now I need to wait another MONTH!!! That will be over 2 months of teeth without braces, or any kind of retainer - essentially undoing 14 months of painful, unlivable inline braces. Knowing how these appointments will go I expect they'll say the retainer no longer fits my teeth since they've shifted, so now i need a new mold and lab needs to make another retainer, come back in two weeks- and then maybe Ill actually get an appointment 2 months later and this is the vicious cycle. Making an appointment is a nightmare - on hold for hours, and when finally reach an operator - who are always pleasant and it's not their fault - the next appointment is a month out. I'm so exhausted by being told in the office that this is a time sensitive process and then having them cancel on me for lab delays - Every time I ask to speak to a manager they simply apologize, but reinforce that I need to make an appointment that's available and maybe they can end up fitting me in sooner. I want to respectfully disengage with this process. I want some money recouped so that I can go elsewhere to solve this problem ASAP. They've also cancelled on me twice (once for ortho the other for dentist) within 24 hours notice, and the ONE time I forgot to cancel they charged me $100 cancellation fee. Just a bad experience all around. The orthodontists and hygienists are wonderful, it's not because of them - it's a company failure. They don't have enough availability, they are difficult to get in touch with, and they impose unfair cancellation policies on TIME SENSITIVE processes without offering any personalized solutions. I'm hoping someone there will read this and tell me where I can go to get some of my money back since I'll be needing to go elsewhere and pay $ for other services. I wrote a review for Tend Grand Central and I started going to Flatiron for an oral surgery that has been a hot mess since the start. They are impossible to get in touch with and are rude in emails. With my original complaint, I received a phone call from Sam, a manager, who was very kind and gave me her email to write with any other issues. I wrote to her regarding the below issue last week and to no one's surprise, she has yet to write me back. I was supposed to receive my implant in October when I had a different insurance. The oral surgeon wanted to wait until it was healed more. I switched insurances in that time at my job. Turns out, Aetna has a missing tooth clause I didn't spot and they won't cover my tooth. When did Tend tell me this? OH THE NIGHT BEFORE MY PROCEDURE! Via email! No phone call to let me know I will be paying double what I thought I was owing which was already a ton of money. I emailed back immediately and received no response. The receptionist at Flatiron was kind and understanding and I told her what Aetna had told me. I needed a pre-authorization and proof that this was necessary and that I had the same job the entire time. She said they would do that for me. Now here is the second part that blows my mind. I am 6 weeks pregnant. There was no way for me to call Tend to speak to the oral surgeon to see what he thought and advised. Last time I said I wanted to talk to him, we made a phone call appointment (after a dozen calls) and he never called me. Not only that but the subway was a mess that morning and I was almost late. Again, no way to call the studio to let them know I was hoofing 10 blocks to arrive on time when the train went express. I was sweating when I arrived. We are rescheduled for March due to my pregnancy. Everyone was lovely and kind to me there at Flatiron. When I got home, I had an email from Shayra who I have spoken with before. She was cold, rude, and dismissive about my questions about the insurance issue. I asked if they could just help me out here and be on my side and give the info. She told me flat out there was not much hope and to prepare myself to pay the full amount. I am a customer service manager and this is appalling to me. She said 'per my last email' at least 3 times and I actually forbid that with my staff. It's degrading. So I wrote to Sam who told me to email her just to express my concerns and disappointment once again. She encouraged me to as CX managers do. Haven't heard back. I am going to Tend still because they know my tooth and the procedure and I do like Dr Ayon a lot. I wish it wasn't difficult to switch dentists and explain this entire thing all over again at another place and probably deal with the same insurance BS. The thing is, I know Tend can help me out by just assuring me they will try and get this covered. Aetna said they reverse these things with enough evidence and now I feel I am going to have to add more stress to my first pregnancy trying not to go into credit card debt. After this procedure is complete, I will never go back and never recommend. The staff AT the studios are always great and very courteous. Outside the studio, it is disastrous. Looks are deceiving, Tend only tends to themselves, they are all marketing and gimmicks. They will tell you cleanings and x-rays are no cost, if they take your insurance but then suggest multiple procedures my inexperienced dentists, who perform sloppy work require multiple visits, that a regular dentist could have knocked out in 1 or 2 visits, because of all the errors tend makes. You cannot get anyone on the phone ever. There is a general number you call and receive a call center. Likely in Nashville, but they may as well be in the Philippines, these folks have no idea what goes on, are rude and have a horrible attitude. You ask for a manager and one is not available or they provide you a 5 hour window where they may or may not call back. I feel bad for them, I do, they probably make less than $20 per hour and have to listen to angry people yell at them all day, as they have the same problems you do.  They have to wait to hear back from someone at the local office, who may or may not return their calls and instead may or may not send emails. Stay as far away from Tend dental as possible. They are impersonal, incompetent and should be out of business. I am surprised no one has sued them for malpractice by now. I am seriously thinking about it but with courts backed up due to covid, I don't have the time or energy to deal with them, let alone taking them to small claims court too. Instead, I am disputing the charges and requesting my insurance not pay them either. Further, I am going to suggest my insurance company drop them and will be calling my local news do investigate via one of those buyer beware stories. There are many positive reviews, people are dumb, they walk in, see the nice offices, go for a cleaning and as long as they do not need anything else, they are good. I will go to a real dentist moving forward, there is no shortage of them. Tend is not worth it. Don't be suckered into their nice offices with Netflix. You can stay home where it is warm and watch your Netflix there. read more

I've always hated going to the dentist. I would be stressed and anxious for days leading up to it. After college, I stopped going. I'd had a really bad experience with a hygienist and I put it off for nearly a decade. It took almost two years of seeing ads for Tend before I finally decided it was time to go back to the dentist, and I'm so glad that I did. I actually looked forward to this appointment! My hygienist listened to me and carefully took me through the whole process. She helped ease my anxiety about aspects of the cleaning by talking me through the steps and what she would be looking for or doing. I feel comfortable asking questions at Tend, and it really feels like I'm treating myself when I have an appointment. I'm so grateful for the environment they've created! read more

Definitely shocked to see how many negative reviews there are. I've been going to Tend for the past few years and I've always had a great time. The dentists and oral hygienists are compassionate, competent, and kind. Even all of the office folks I've spoken to have been professional and gotten back to me quickly. I've been pleased with all of my dental cleanings and experiences at this office and the Wall St office. I'm also a fan of the aesthetic and the ability to watch tv throughout the appointment! The only negative is that it's a pain to reschedule appointments since almost all of the dates within 2 weeks of the original appointment are fully booked. read more

I was a loyal Tend customer. I love that they valued my time - little wait time, easy to speak to someone be it by phone or text. Unfortunately this is no longer the case. BEWARE today's TEND is NO LONGER the model for dental care. They have cancelled numerous of my appointments, citing various reasons. It is nearly impossible to speak to someone, be it by phone, text or email. The wait times are simply outrageous. I have been waiting for ONE MONTH to speak to a manager to express the above complaints. Moreover, it has been ONE MONTH since my biopsy and I have yet to receive my results. Non stop rescheduling. 4 of my 5 appointments in the past two weeks were rescheduled in less than 24 hours one of which I showed up and they said no we can't see you sorry. I needed a tooth pulled ASAP made the appointment was hit with the usual reschedule. I took off work and rearranged my entire schedule to get it done asap because I'm in pain. Unfortunately after weeks of back and forth, Tend did not refund me. After significant effort on my side, I got in touch with a manager, but the team as a whole insisted their system would not allow a refund to process. My bank stated multiple times there should be no problem with issuing a refund and issued proof the dispute I created was resolved. From my view, my bank has no reason to interrupt the refund, and I believe Tend did not want to "accept" the dispute in order to resolve it with a payment. There were a couple people who tried to help in general, but suffice to say I'll be find another dental service. read more

Tend is trendy and cute and kinda fancy in terms of their amenities, so if that's all you care about, make an appointment. The are decent at cleanings so if thats all you need, Im sure you'll be fine, my issues came with trying to get invisalign. I originally went PRE COVID/for a cleaning and an invisalign consultation. After a some scheduling failures, the consultation wasn't bad, though they weren't expecting someone to ask a ton of questions. As soon as I was placed in the room the assistant just jumped in my mouth and started scanning and taking photos....umm let's talk first, like what are you doing lol? At first it was a struggle, but they were able to find someone to explain the process and answer my questions. They were patient and I can be a lot for some so they had all the points in my book! At the end of Dec. they sent me my scans, financial plan, and treatment plan from invisalign and maybe 2 weeks later at the very beginning of Jan. I told them I wanted to pay and move forward with treatment. I was told I couldn't move forward and that there was a waiting list......even though I already had scans and a plan from invisalign. Whatever, they said they would like met know when they were available. A month later in Feb, I email them....the response was something to the effect of 'like we said you are on the list we'll let you know' after not hearing back from them by the end of month I went to Tribeca Dental Care and had a wonderful experience. Here's the kicker....did I EVER get a call or an email saying I was off the list? Nope, but they sent me an email telling me to come in for another cleaning. Ha! It's a no for me dawg. For some reason, this location smells of chemicals - my mom came early with me to my wisdom tooth extraction at this location this past Tuesday (9/20) and even she complained that the lobby smelled of chemicals (the front desk woman let my mom sit in the lobby as I was getting my procedure done although my mom really wanted to get breakfast - my mom knew I'd be in pain and didn't want to leave me). I usually go to the Wall Street studio, so maybe I'm not accustomed to the dentist smelling since the Wall Street studio doesn't smell at all. The procedure with Dr. Teehan was fine - my stitches just came out of my mouth a few minutes before writing this review (my tongue played with them and they came spitting out - better than swallowing them - doc can definitely attest to me having a strong tongue which I'll admit I have). Dr. Teehan was nice enough to give me her number in case I have any follow up questions. The only downside to the wisdom tooth extraction is that my mouth is still in pain where the tooth was extracted from, and it's been almost a week - but the thing is, they don't give enough pain meds to last a week; they only give pain meds for three days per their instructions. I've had two other surgeries this year (non dental) and I've received more pain meds from those procedures than I did for this. I'm also in the midst of getting a multipart back treatment for my nerve damage and herniated disc, and my back doctor is trying to get me off of pain meds, but it's hard when I'm in pain (which this dental surgery sure left me in a lot of). If Dr. Sedhom ever comes to this location, I'd definitely recommend her to do a filling. She did mine at the Wall Street studio and it was perfectly done. She uses just the right amount of novocaine and numbing cream that all you'll feel for a few hours after the procedure is numb - you won't be in pain. It was hard for me to chew on food for a few hours once I stopped feeling numb, but then I was able to eat like a normal human being again. The only downside to Tend as a whole is that they lost my insurance and are making me call my insurance a million times instead of having their insurance team do something. Maybe I'll be back - maybe I won't. read more

The thing about Tend is that they go so over the top making the visit experience aesthetically great, that they almost feel entitled to making every other aspect of their business difficult for the patient. about 6 months ago, I went in for a consultation and was told I needed 4 different visits to address cleaning, bonding, and old fillings, so I scheduled all 4 over the course of 2-3 months. First was the bonding and during the prep I asked the dr. "if I want to do a whitening, should I have done it before this?" he dismissingly responded, "you'd never whiten a bonded tooth... why would you do that?" basically telling me I'm a moron without answering my question. Then he went to work and with the bonding, extended the length of my two front teeth considerably and so the bonding immediately broke and I had to go back for another visit 2 days later. During that visit I was told I must not have been careful enough while eating because it should not have broken....just not what you want to hear when you certainly were careful and broke your bonding with your bottom tooth because it was too long. After going back I decided to Postpone my next appointment while at the office. They added the new date but never canceled the original and so they charged me a no-show fee of $100 when that date rolled around. When I called in they explained that they will only refund the fee once I come in and complete the appointment (weeks later). I wasn't too pleased about that considering I took the right steps to change my appointment and had to call in 3 separate times until they agreed to refund me. I then canceled the rest of my appointments because of how difficult and ridiculous that process was. Months later they announced the new Breezy Braces, and I decided I would give tend another shot and go in for a consult but at the Williamsburg location. I scheduled the appointment, shortly after realizing I had work travel that day and immediately rescheduled for the next week. Once again, they charged me a $100 no-show fee on the date of the original appt. (mind you there were no appointment reminder emails, texts etc.) so its pretty obvious their systems are not in sync. I called in immediately and was told they will not refund me until I come in for the next appointment... so here we go again. If Instagram went and got itself a medical dentistry license. That's what Tend is. I think it's a reversal of Dent(al). I hope they get in the business of medical doctoring. I think it would be called Dem, get it? A reversal of Med(ical). I watch relaxing documentaries on Netflix while I get my teeth cleaned by some of the nicest people in a mint green and birch office and I murmur Mmhhmmm over the ocean sounds in my ears from Beats headphones. Tend makes me feel rich though I am not because I have to go back to work after my cleaning appointments. read more

There's nothing really to complain about, I just find the staff a little too "shiny" and smiley. Of course, I want a pleasant staff, but it feels a little put-on here. That said, after coming for about three years, I'm finding it a little more authentic-feeling. The professional caliber is fine, though I'm not sure I'd want to do any serious dental work here. read more

Tend tends to try to rip you off. I had to pay $250 to have their endodontist examine my tooth for possible root canal retreatment. They said the scan showed the tooth was fractured and needed to be extracted. To have that done an an implant would set me back $8000. Shocking I know. NYU can do it for 3K but I continued shopping. I went to National Dentist for a FREE CONSULTATION AND CT SCAN and there was no sign of fracture in the tooth, but the bone is worn and could use a graft, which also requires extraction and implant. They can do the whole procedure for $3900, so of course they won the bid. Look out TEND because I'm coming for a refund for my $250 over your misdiagnosis. These are hack dentists in IKEA styled offices!! read more

Went in for a routine cleaning / check up. Cleaning went well and they had all the perks advertised (Netflix, Warby Parker sunglasses to protect from the harsh light, Beats BT headphones). Dentist came in after the cleaning, briefly looked at my X-rays and said that I needed 2 root canals. Since I had no other symptoms, this was a complete shock. I obviously had a lot of questions - she answered a few of them but said she had to see another patient. There were lots of patients in the office so the actual consultation about my root canals felt rushed. Next someone came in and went ahead trying to schedule my next set of appointments while I was feeling overwhelmed and still had a lot of questions about the root canal (how serious was it, how did it happen etc) but the dentist was no longer available. Since the diagnosis was a shock and I was left with lots of unanswered questions, my family recommended to see another dentist (non-Tend) to get a second opinion. This other dentist gave me the time to explain the X-rays and that 2 root canals are completely unnecessary. The decay was far from my nerve and it was very unscrupulous that the Tend dentist would go ahead with a procedure that was not needed. I can't believe I almost got 2 root canals for no real reasons with Tend, which would cost me thousands of dollars and many further appointments. Strongly would not recommend based on my experience with Tend. Yeah they have a nice aesthetic but I am aghast by the actual quality of service and experience. read more

Amazing! I could not imagine a better dental experience and I could not imagine a friendlier staff! It's pristinely clean and the ability to watch a show while you're getting your teeth cleaned is hard to beat. I absolutely love Tend for teeth! read more

Would highly recommend not using Tend. After a cleaning, they advised me I needed a high number of cavities filled. After getting a second opinion, the second dentist said the treatment plan was "aggressive" and suggested the plan Tend provided was not in my best interest. At this point I requested that Tend only fill 2 cavities (those recommended by the second, trusted dentist) and scheduled an appointment with them. After confirming on 2 separate occasions which teeth they would treat, I received a text message the night before my appointment confirming the wrong treatment plan. When I called them to explain the situation, they stated they couldn't provide the service they previously confirmed and if I cancelled I would be charged, since it was within 48 hours of the appointment. They "bait and switched" me wit my medical care (very scary). In my opinion, Tend is not where you should go for your dental needs. I believe they try to provide treatment not in your best interest but rather for them to make more money, you receive inconsistent care since it is a factory of dentists, and the company is poorly run with no ability to track previous conversations or confirmations. If you want dental care for Instagram, they are perfect. If you want consistent and quality treatment, I do not believe they can provide it. read more
