I moved to the Lawrence area and the HomeGoods store was still being renovated to open. So I had to…read morekeep telling myself that I would get there when they opened. Has been open for several months now and this is my first time getting there. I'm not quite sure how I feel about the location exactly. It's off the major road in Lawrence( Iowa st), but it's sort of hidden. You have to really look for it because it sits next to Five Below and Hobby Lobby and if you're not looking for it you'll pass right by it. Not to mention traffic through there is completely congested because of the McDonald's across the way. That being said, there is ample parking and the signage looks good. When you get inside the thing I love the most is how well lit it is. You immediately feel yourself come to life as you walk in. For example I arrived on a very rainy day and I was already feeling drowsy and sleepy, but as I walked in those lights woke me up and I found myself rejuvenated and interested to walk throughout the store and see what they had. So the lighting is wonderful. The items that they have available are pretty cute and unique, however it's not enough. I thought the building was bigger than what I seen. The store looks very small inside, but they do have cute items and the prices are okay... not great, but okay. Will I come here again? If I can't get to athome in Olathe, then I will definitely be stopping here to pick up a thing or two. It's worth the trip

What a fun shop! I…read morewas in some sort of dopamine overload in here. Pens... notepads... stickers... oh, my! What a spot to land in KS. The prices are what you would expect at any stationary store but the selection is huge! I couldn't even take everything in. I know there was a sticker that said something about being overstimulated and it applied. I need to go back when I have unlimited time to explore. I left with several pens, a couple of small notepads, and some stickers! If you need anything in this realm, this is the place to go in Lawrence. Right in the 800 block of Massachusetts which seems to be the street for shopping in Lawrence. Not only are the products and the staff amazing, but there's 2 gems at this shop you won't find anywhere else - Dave is the bomb, and the haunted bathroom experience is as well. I'm just letting you know to go and experience them. No way I am spoiling it even though I'm sure someone will! lol It won't be me! Love this local gem in Lawrence!

Well, actually it is, because it's full of cool stuff. Think gift shop + art shop + boutique curio, and maybe that *starts* to describe the space. There are plenty of keepsakes, art supplies, and gift ideas that will run your tab up very quickly. It's all good stuff, mind you, but it's almost like they should have an "I'll take one of everything package". The front of the store is mostly boutique-ish and has a small up and downstairs. You can find gifts for just about anyone, and this is the kind of place where you can stuff stockings or get something unique for that special someone. If you need ideas, then ask one of the staff who are always willing to help. If you need specifics in the art department, then there is a station in the back to help you with various items such as paper types or other supplies. The unique nature of some of the items leads to perhaps some higher prices, but the value is spot on. You're finding gifts, not clipping coupons, so enjoy and shop a little. For everything that you think might be marked a little high, just remind yourself that you probably aren't going to find that in very many other places. And that's the fun of shopping: just browsing when you have the time and maybe the resources, looking at things that you didn't know you were going to find, and in this case, helping a great small business thrive.
