I have struggled to feel confident about my skin for my whole life. I've been to spa's across North America, and also in Japan, Germany, France, England, and Switzerland. I've paid anywhere between 60$ to 900$ for facial treatments.... I've yet to have a facial anywhere that delivered results like Ten Spa. The products are VERY high end and the aestheticians are unparalleled in their knowledge base and professionalism. This is more than a therapeutic escape (but man does it ever relax you) ten spa is world class skin treatment facility as far as I'm concerned, and quite frankly when it comes to spa's and skincare, I know my S*** . When I finally found ten spa it honestly changed my life. If it weren't enough that the spa oozes luxury or that the comprehensive spa menu can give you everything from a world class hammam experience to a mani pedi, a deep tissue massage and then the best facial you've ever had, then rest assured that the over the top brilliant customer service will will you over. Had a free day at the Fort Gerry and went to the Ten Spa for a Massage. The therapist met me, placed me on the table, face down, and started our treatment. When I turned over, I saw she was wearing a mask and asked if I should have masked. She mentioned her two children were at home with covid and this was a precaution. I had "allergy" symptoms 3 1/2 days later and tested positive for covid when I returned home. Yes covid is everywhere, but a practitioner, with two covid positive family members at home should not be anywhere clients in a closed room in a spa. I was on a tour and in close contact with 14 other individuals for the following 5 days. I hope that I did not infect anyone on our trip. read more

Consistency is the key to a good service. With respect to all my visits to the Ten Spa, I have to say that each visit is always different and full and positives and negatives. This is supposedly the best spa in Winnipeg but they really need to work on their receptionist's attitudes - these are the first people that greet you and the last impression the customer receives when they are paying and considering the tip. I find that there are two types of girls that work there - "really nice and informative" to "cold and aloof". Fort Garry management really needs to improve on that because the rest of the staff inside the spa are really great! As for spa experiences, I would suggest taking a day off and go on a weekday instead of the popular Friday or weekend appointments. I find the weekend dates are jam packed with people in the changing room and lounge so it's hard to feel relaxed. This time, I took Monday off and surprisingly other people did too because they were done before my 11 am appointment. I always opt for the "Ten's Custom Massage" for my upper back pain but you can choose more targeted areas. It's 50 minutes for $105 and trust me that time goes back so quickly! I often wonder if I get cheated out of time because the moment you go into the lounge waiting area there are no clocks, same thing in the treatment rooms so who knows if I really got 50 min or 30 min! My massage therapist was great and made me feel so relaxed so it was too bad that time flew by. They spray you with different light scents and make you lull into a sleep. It's nice to be able to go into a quiet room afterwards to orient yourself back to reality. So after a great experience, it would be nice to be greeted by a warm and friendly person when you are about to pay. I was staying at the Fort Garry Hotel, so of course I had to check out the Ten Spa I'd heard so much about... The list of services was extensive, it had everything from facials to ultimate pedis and body cocoons. I got the Cleopatra Milk and Oil Cocoon and yes, it's as lovely as it sounds. First you get to relax in their aromatherapy shower and steam room followed by a light lunch of sushi, hummus with veggies, fruits and hot herbal tea. The treatment begins with a sea salt body scrub, then the milk & oil treatment followed by the cocooning phase as you lightly float on top a bed of water. You then get a foot massage and cucumber facial... (ahhh...) I rarely go to spas but this day spa made me feel like a queen on my vacation. Possibly one of the best things about my stay. I gotta say it's the woman's locker room that keeps me coming back for more. Be sure to check in at least one hour before your appointment so you can take advantage of the facilities! The steam room is so warm and dark, it just the beginning of a wonderfully relaxed day! After the steam room there's a cooling off shower that has a light refreshing fragrance in the water. After you're cooled you make your way to the real shower where you can have a rainfall shower or your regular shower. The hair and body products the spa provides for you makes your hair and skin so soft and smelling beautifully. I've gotten a few different types of treatments and I would suggest a facial, by far they have the best facials. They last 120 minutes and when you walk out of there, you're so relaxed and your skin feels and looks radiant! The last couple of times I've gone to Ten Spa was pretty well just to take advantage of their facilities so I booked myself a pedicure. I don't think I'm too crazy about their pedicures. The pedicures feel great and last for 60 mins, but it's the polish they put on, it never seems like they've put on enough. I've had that problem twice now. Besides the pedicure issue, that's my only complaint. When you're waiting for your treatment, you get to eat these super yummy goodies the spa has set out for the guests. They have really good cheeses, dried fruits and tea that's naturally sweet. And if your treatment is in the mornings, they have these really moist chewy oatmeal date cookies that seem like they should be healthy, but I'm sure nothing that tastes that good could ever be good for you. read more

Ten Spa is gorgeous and accommodating. I'm not the type that can regularly visit a spa, but my friend treated me to a pedicure. I love that even if you're getting one service you can still use the steam room, experiential showers, and enjoy the snacks in the beautiful lounge I found the staff very friendly. Although I felt like a bum in my target clothes and dirty sneakers, they treated me like a princess. I booked myself and my sister for Hamam 101 for my birthday and left feeling like a whole new person! Reception was really busy when we arrived so it took awhile for them to check us in and show us around. The receptionist who showed us the changerooms and amenities breezed through the tour and when she left, I was feeling lost and still didn't know what to do or how to do anything. In addition, she said we could use "these two lockers" - which ended up being two of the few half lockers in the changeroom. I mean, there were dozens of free full lockers available, I don't know why we she wanted us to use the half ones? I made to feel like a second class citizen. While I was in the bathroom, she came back and gave my sister our pestamals but did not explain when were were supposed to be wearing them or how to put them on or if we were supposed to be wearing our underwear or not. My sister found some disposable underwear which we did put on, but I wished I didn't because I think my services would have been better without them. The pestemal really clings to your skin and the therapists do a good job of covering you up. We went to use the steam room, but since the seats are heated, and the sign said sit on a towel, I was unsure of where the get the towels from or if I was supposed to wear the pestamal in it or not. We ended up winging it and wrapped ourselves in towels to go in the steam room. About 5 minutes before our appointment, we went out to the lounge and had some of the complimentary tea and filled out the health forms. It's a nice dim lounge area to relax in and have a snack, read a book or magazine before your service. The hamam experience was great. Our therapists, Wes and Matt were great at explaining everything to us (they showed us how to put on the pestemals) and were really professional. During the gommage and olive oil soap wash, you are given the option of having a chest cover or not. I opted to not have my chest covered and yes, they do gommage and wash your breasts. Your pestemal is folded up and used to cover your bottom. I chatted with some other ladies in the locker room and they said they come for the drop-in. Meaning you can use the locker room and all of the amenities, the lounge, snacks and even the cool lounge for after services for $25. This is a fab drop-in rate and I would totally use this lounge to get ready in before a night out or something. I love that the locker room has pretty much everything you need except for makeup so you don't have to bring much. It really reminds me of Spa World in Osaka. Basically, I loved my experience at Ten Spa except for the less than helpful front desk staff. read more

My overall rating is a 3 Overall it was okay and unfortunately my choices of treatments I wasn't too pleased with but it gave me a preview of what I might get and I suspect that it would be top notch. I would love to have a choice to sit in there - lots of food like cheese and crackers and dried fruits. CHampange and wine availble to order at around $7 a glass TREATMENT ROOM Looked like a hospital or clinic room. So sterile - heated mattress and blanket when asked for it LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE MASSAGE I didn't know what to expect here as the description was very vague an when I booked this they didn't seem todescribe it very well. I wanted to try this. I thought it would be a regular massage with special techniques to hit certain points and in he meantime my knots relived. I was wrong They use glass suction cups and a machine to basically suck up the skin and activate stimulation. I didn't feel much just every skin in my body not covered by underwear being sucked up. Did it make a diference? I don't know. Did i feel relaxed? Yes was it like a massage? No I had asked for a male thinking this was a traditional massage but there's really no need to specify for this as o don't think it makes a difference. I kind of regret getting this and should have stuck with a regular massage. He had nice hands. 2 stars LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE FACIAL This I felt was worth it. THey use higher end jurlique and phyto 5 products. I got cleansed twice and a mask was put on to I crease stimulation, then another masked mixed in with it. Then she used auction cups again on my face and neck. I think it did make a difference and I feel cleansed. Another clay mask with some more moisturizer and serum. I liked this one and felt it was worth it. 4 stars STAFF I was greeted by an unenthused girl who gave me a your of the place. I also signed a confirmation of my treatments. Which was good reassurance - bookein over the phone they automatiaclly send you in iternary via email - I noticed that in all the lounges hardly any were cleaned of dishes from the start to the end of mytreatments (2hr) - when I wanted o know more about treatments but the girl just repeated it off the website andidnt give me any hints in the service decieved. read more

Amenities are really what makes this place besides the massage. The RMT are very professional and make you feel really relaxed and at ease. We chose the first appointment of the day at 9 AM- but they're open at 8 AM so you have an hour to wind down before the massage. Then we ended up staying the whole morning. Things they include; - When first coming in they give you a Turkish Robe and Sandals - Eucalyptus shower/mist - Thermo Sauna with Brine (salt) mist - Clean Showers - Great grooming stations (hair products, hair straighteners, hair dryers, pins, cleansers) - Free light snacks (cookies, muffins, dried fruits, slight sweet tea, and optional paying menu) - Quiet relaxation room after the massage After the massage, they have a 'Quiet' Room' where you can relax a bit more after your massage. Ended up taking a nap in the room as each couch was provided with comfy pillows and thin blankets. Definitely worth stopping by there after the massage if you're not in a rush. Overall I would have given this place a 5 star, but my significant other mentioned that the men's sauna wasn't meeting up to his expectations. It was either broken or didn't turn on when pressing the button. So he didn't get to enjoy the sauna as much as I did. Definitely worth the experience! read more

I've been for countless massages at Ten Spa and have enjoyed every one of them. The facilities are top notch and the massages themselves have been great. Noting in the past that the clock has always been mysteriously "missing" from the room at the end of the massage, I found it this last time, hiding wrapped up in wet towels in the sink... and showing that I was shorted 15 minutes in what was supposed to be an 80 minute massage. Expressing my concerns to the front desk resulted in nothing other than me being charged for the full amount of the massage. An email sent to the management of Ten Spa has, not surprisingly, yet to be responded to... Having recommended Ten Spa to numerous friends of ours, I'm embarrassed, surprised, and ultimately, extremely disappointed that Ten Spa is not conducting their business in a legally and ethically appropriate manner. read more

Extremely poor customer service...the ambiance and spa services are completely ruined by the front desk staff. There is no welcome or orientation to the spa.....I expected to be pampered but instead was left to my own devices . If you are visiting for the first time it's a total disaster ..the reception just waves you through ..very lowbrow " treatment ! I would discuss this with the management to have staff welcome clientele courteously and give brief orientation so that you may be aware ..but with this level of reception I'm afraid the management would not be much better. I was staying at the Fort Garry for a conference and I thought... hey... why not visit the spa. The atmosphere there and the amazing smell was so calming. Mind you my wax was not except the technician was amazing and really responded to my requests to make me as comfortable as possible. Bought my wife a $400 gift cert for Christmas. She waited until Spring (May) to use. Here is her review: Bad experience. Will not return. Staff are grouchy and unfriendly (except for Carrie, she was very nice). Change room is tiny and crowded, parking is impossible and far away. They should include valet parking with what they charge! Felt rushed and unwelcomed. No one did an orientation for her, or ask her if she had ever been there before. Felt pressure to finish and didn't get to do her hair or shower at the end. Services were adequate, but certainly not worth the premium price with the rest of the experience. At the end of the day when I came home from work she was not happy for the experience, in fact she was in a lousy mood because of the experience at Ten Spa! Brutal customer service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was meeting some friends at ten spa for massages and when I showed up for my appointment I was told that according to the computer my appointment had been rescheduled. This was a staff error as I was meeting friends as a Christmas event so wouldn't have rescheduled the appointment. Staff also must have dialed the wrong number when they called to confirm my incorreclty rescheduled appointment because I was told there was a note saying my phone number was disconnected and they had charged me for a no show. Management takes no responsibilty for staff errors and was very rude when I explained my situation telling me they schedule over 3000 appointments a year and never have any problems. I would never spend my money at ten spa. Incompetant staff and rude management. read more

I have experienced ten spa twice now and feel I have had better services elsewhere and for less money. manicure and pedicures are nothing special. I found they used old nail polish (must have used nail polish remover to thin out their polishes) because the nail polish would peel or wear off a few days after! I booked a mani-pedi before my vacation, and took a bus across the city to the spa, only to be told they had no record of my appointment. Apparently, their online bookings are unreliable. Well, maybe you shouldn't offer online bookings then? Or have a note on your website warning people? The best they could do was a manicure only (no pedicure) three hours after my original appointment. I got a shrug and a completely unconcerned reaction from the receptionist. Used to LOVE Tenspa, but the last time I went, my partner was taking me for a surprise on my birthday. When he called and gave them our names, they told him that I had been before and had an account, he agreed and INSISTED they not use it, as it WAS A SURPRISE. They immediately emailed me the receipt and ruined the surprise. The front desk woman did not seem to be phased. We felt that the facilities seemed a bit older and run down, the tiles were coming out in the steam, the sofas were uncomfortable and torn in places, for the price, you would assume they could afford to remodel/update/maintain. We had also overheard other customers complaining about the quality of food they had ordered, the veg was moldy/lettuce was brown. Really put me off. read more

I took my fiancé to the Ten Spa for a couples massage on the weekend. I spent over $400 at the spa. Massages were good but not out of this world. The ambience is not what I expected for a 'high end' spa. Needs some updating for sure. Change room is small. The food is mediocre. The front desk service is very very slow and quite rude. My fiancé said that the men's shower area needs some repair. Overall...not worth the high prices at all. I am not sure if we will go back. I have always been happy with the services. Manicures are perfect, massages have been great. The only reasons I stopped going to Ten Spa is because they always over book. I have been there 45 min early for an appointment and I have had to wait for a locker, more than once. I went to Ten Spa for the first time this year with my mom for a mani/pedi spa. It was pricey but I thought it would be worth it. I am by no means picky, but when you pay $200 for a mani/pedi you kind of expect perfection. My nails were left super brittle and after asking a couple times for square shape, I was still given round nails that chipped within a few days. If you're looking for a relaxing day, skip Ten Spa, spend $60 for a day at Thermea and then go get your nails done. read more

I love ten spa, absolutely fantastic! It's super clean, has great friendly staff and treatments are wonderful. I have to say one of my favourite parts about the spa are the change rooms. I first went to ten spa because a friend got me a gift card and was hesitant to go alone it was fantastic. Receptionist was not apologetic and insisted on taking my credit card number before she would book an appointment. Never heard of such a thing. Went for a full monty brazilian. One of the worst waxes I've ever received. The esthetician didn't wax in the correct direction, left huge strips of hair, and gave me a friction burn from re-waxing the same area again and again. Considering the price, over $100, I was expecting someone skilled and meticulous who knew what they were doing. read more
