We were quickly greeted and told to sit wherever we liked, so we grabbed a booth by the window. As soon as we settled in, our waitress came over for drink orders, already cracking jokes with a wicked sense of humor that kept us laughing the entire meal. She suggested mozzarella sticks as an appetizer -- and I'm so glad she did. They were cooked to absolute perfection (chef's kiss). We ordered the ribeye steak with potatoes, veggies, garlic bread, and cheddar broccoli soup. The soup was incredible -- rich, flavorful, and packed with real broccoli, so you knew it was fresh. Then the steaks came out... and honestly, they were better than steaks we've had at high-end steakhouses. Perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. Throughout the whole experience, our waitress kept our sodas full and somehow always appeared right when we needed something -- we never once had to ask. That level of attentiveness is rare. We decided to grab pie to go since we were heading to a hotel for the night. Before we could even mention it, she brought us plastic forks and a bag with our dessert. That kind of thoughtfulness completely sums up the service here. This will absolutely be a regular stop for us anytime we travel through Ritzville. I was beyond impressed -- amazing food, amazing service, and an experience that felt genuine from start to finish.

Excellent friendly service and cozy atmosphere. Wiley's Bistro 421 W Main Ave, Ste 104 Spokane What We Ordered: * Love Bun must order every single time. Spicy heat, crunchy bread, cheesy goodness... my favorite. * Prawns are exactly what you'd expect. * Smoked Mozzarella Baguette savory, garlicky, dip-happy bread vibes. * Beet Salad is a full 10/10. Fresh, balanced, and memorable. * Wedge Salad is classic and satisfying. * Ravioli Entrée no portobello; subbed with cheese ravioli, and it worked beautifully. Creamy, peppery, parmesan goodness. * Braised Short Ribs fork-tender, rich, drenched in a delicious wine gravy. * Mud Pie coffee ice cream vibes with Aztec fudge, cookie crumble, chocolate, and whipped cream. Kid-friendly note: No official kids menu, but they're happy to whip up a grilled cheese, hamburger, or quesadilla if needed.

Service was fantastic! - Wiley's Old fashioned served in a bowl of ice makes this a drink to remember. I typically prefer Woodford, but this is made with Makers. I loved how cold this drink was and it was delicious! - Their dirty martini was equally delicious and ice cold. It was very dirty and blue cheese stuffed olives were a plus. - the love bun was to die for- definitely a treat l, filled with ooey gooey cheese and a solid spice from the jalapeño. - the ravioli was delicious- hearty, filling and flavorful, served with a generous portion of chicken on top. - prawn phad thai was a gamble and not your typical fast order noodle dish. This flavorful dish was beautifully presented with ample prawns. It was extra saucy and a on the sweet side, which I didn't expect for phad thai but was glad I tried . I'm not sure I'd call it phad thai and that's probably the disconnect. It's more of a veggie and prawn noodle dish with a small Asian flair, definitely not a glamorous name , haha! Dessert The crème brûlée is the dessert winner - the citrus flair was light and refreshing. The mud pie was just ok. Lots of ice cream on a cookie crust but not sure I'd call it mud pie.

Honestly, Wooden City really lives up to its hype. It's an upscale spot right in downtown Spokane,…read morebut still feels warm and lively instead of overly formal. Definitely one of the best-quality restaurants in the city, where every dish was thoughtfully made and packed with flavor. What we ordered: Starters: - Spring Salad: Super fresh and well-balanced. The snap peas were crisp, with strawberries added for sweetness, and the goat cheese + pistachios gave it a creamy, nutty contrast. The lemon & tarragon vinaigrette tied everything together with a light, herby flavor. - Jerk Cauliflower: Crunchy cauliflower with Caribbean spices with a creamy jerk sauce, good as a side Appetizers: - Peel 'n' Eat Shrimp: Really juicy and spicy from the Cajun spice. There's butter to dip in but I found it too greasy and prefer lemon instead. - Blistered Hungarian Peppers: Smoky pepper with some sweetness and savory from the sausage and cheddar. Served with a toasted focaccia that soak up all the sauce. Main dishes: - Chicken Schnitzel: One of the must-orders. Crispy, golden breading, super tender inside. The lemon & caper butter sauce added acidity and richness that elevated the whole dish. Yoy have to order extra because it's never enough for the table. Yes, it's that good. - Marbled Duroc Pork Chop: Another favorite . Juicy and tender, with 'nduja salsa brava bringing a spicy depth, while lemon tahini and marcona almonds added creaminess and crunch. I always missed tasting this dish like my first time - Beet Ravioli: Earthy and slightly sweet flavor, nice texture but I hate goat cheese so I'm not really a fan of this dish - Pesto Bacon Pizza: Delicious crunch, loved the combo of mozzarella and gorgonzola, kind of creamy with a bit of funk. Balsamic do help balance and gave it a sweet tangy flavor, or else it would be too heavy for me (yes, not a pizza fan) Drinks & Dessert - Not Mai Tai mocktail: very aesthetically looking drink, but a bit too sweet to my liking - Apple crisp: cozy and warm, with baked apple & pecan crumble and served with vanilla ice cream on top. Delicious ice cream. - Pumpkin cheesecake: My 3rd favorite of the night, I still dream about it!! Rich, smooth, and perfectly spiced, you shouldn't skip this!!! That said, I do have to take away a couple points for timing. Our foods took 45 mins to come out even though I had reservations and note the menu items via the email, and the wait time between each dish was also... very confusing. It broke the flow of our meal. But once the food hit the table, it was hard to stay mad, so I forgave them.

I feel like I just went to a dress rehearsal about a play about a group of friends who got together…read moreand said "How about we open a restaurant? That would be fun!" Tonight was just so strange. First, I had no idea who was an employee. There were two girls that were going around together over and over, they kept stopping at tables so I think they worked there...but they never had anything in their hands. Our server seemed to keep forgetting we were there. Or just forgetting she was employed in general. Seriously just not with it. She was very nice...when she remembered we were there. I will say the pizza crust tasted amazing. So many places that serve pizza think of the crust as just something to put toppings on, but this had great flavor. Sadly, it was rolled too thin and said toppings made it somewhat soggy. Caesar salad was ok. Romaine was really fresh and crisp and the homemade croutons were still a little warm. Very good. However, the dressing was rather bland. And when I asked for pepper for it, our waitress first had it in her head that I expected some kind of peppers on my salad. When she finally understood I meant black pepper, she went away. Eventually she returned. Not with a pepper grinder or a shaker, but a sauce bowl that had about 3 tablespoons of black pepper in it. I wouldn't use that much pepper if I cooked for myself for a week and used it with every dish. Had to ask for knives for some of people's meals. I will say the spicy lamb rigatoni was amazing, pasta just right and the sauce and flavor was peak. I am just not sure what to say, other than this was the strangest and most disorganized dining experience I have ever had. I think if a grown up showed up and brought the kids into line, this place would be amazing. Also, for what we paid, I expected to be wowed, not left wondering what I just experienced.

What we ordered: * Whipped Honey Cornbread: Seared edges, whipped honey butter, and scallions. Honestly addictive. Sweet, buttery, slightly crisp on the outside and soft inside! I just can't stop eating them * Hush Puppies: Served hot and crunchy with Louisiana Come Back sauce. Simple but really well done, especially with this dipping sauce. * Poached Pear Salad: Sweet poached pears, with a nutty flavor from candied pecans and dried cherries. I don't like goat cheese so I just pretend it didn't exist Light but flavorful, with a nice balance of sweet and tangy to pair with 2 heavy dishes above. * Voodoo Pork Chop: My main dish, I was surprised with the huge portion (10oz chop), served with collard greens, creole sauce, and sweet potatoes. Pork was incredibly tender and juicy, a bit salty but this is one of the best ones I've had in a while. It honestly felt like two servings and is definitely shareable. The space is beautiful with eclectic interior design, warm lighting, and a staircase that gives the whole place a nice vibe for dinner.
