We stopped here on our way to Florida and found an absolute gem. The food was delicious, and the service was outstanding--truly above and beyond. If you're in the area, definitely take a moment to stop in and grab a bite. You won't be disappointed!

I love these rustic small town diners. It's very popular and offers breakfast all day, as well as lunch and dinner options. Service did take a while as they were very busy. I had the mushroom burger with the soup of the day. The bun was super soft and the burger was good. The Hubbs opted for the hamburger steak breakfast and was a little disappointed that the meat was overcooked. We wanted to try their pies but ran out of time and needed to get back on the road. Overall, a good stop.

Look, this is a roadside cafe in Ritzville, Washington, which is very much my jam but it might not be yours. They were open when we needed them and I loved them for that as much as anything. Steak, eggs, and hashbrowns were all fresh, delicious, and prepared exactly as ordered. So was the toast (not pictured). Coffee was great. Service was great. (Our server was sharp and a little salty and excellent.) Most of the people there at our odd hour were regulars and I wanted to linger just to hear them reminisce and chat up strangers. Staff were kind to them, and just as nice to the ragtag lot making a brief stop on their way to somewhere else. And get a load of this fragrance dispenser in the loo! What a hoot. Well worth the stop.

Wonderful Experience @ Jake's Cafe in Ritzville, WA. ! Great service on a Saturday morning by a lovely young lady. She was enthusiastic and attentive. We loved our breakfast meals and the delicious homemade cinnamon roll! I'll try to get a donut next time before they sell out. Restaurant itself was older, but clean and comfortable. I loved the nostalgic feel of it all. Brings you back in time. Thank you.

Yummy and great service. If your a snob go to a snobby place. You don't belong here. This is a legit country small town place. Will be back.

Lind is a wheat town full of wheat people, and Slim's is the only bar, and the only grill. If it happened in Lind, it probably happened at Slim's. If it didn't happen at Slim's, it probably happened at the annual Combine Destruction Derby (2nd weekend in June) or the amateur street races (September). See my review of Lind, Washington: http://www.yelp.com/biz/djfdrnljUc_29YNGCfaMng I get a really nice feeling stepping into Slim's; I just know I'll have a good meal. My waitress Jeannie was nice, and recommended the broasted chicken with jo-jos (fried wedge potatoes). The chicken was as amazing as she promised ... fried with a nice salty flavor ... not greasy, just wonderful. The jo-jos were actually a little bland and pasty, but not terrible. I had no regrets eating all of them, anyway. The grill part is connected to the bar, which has a separate entrance. The voices of locals carousing and having a good time came bouncing through the joint. It was a good sound. Everybody knows everybody else in this town of 300-or-so people. It feels like home ... not my home, but a home nonetheless. If you're ever passing through southeast Washington state, 13 miles south of Ritzville, make your way to Lind. BTW, they serve breakfast anytime. One star for being a local favorite Two stars for have the best chicken I've had in a while One star for down-home One more start would go for having breakfast "all the time," but they don't open until ten, so it's not really "all" the time, is it?

The restaurant seems to be a family ran business. Sadly, this review isn't good. We went on Sunday around 11:30 AM. The restaurant wasn't busy, only 3 other tables there. We ordered a basket of buttermilk biscuits as an appetizer. My husband ordered a Loaded Breakfast Burrito. My mom ordered the Florentine Benedict with house potatoes. I ordered the classic Eggs Benedict. It took 30 minutes to get our appetizer of biscuits. The restaurant wasn't busy, so I don't know why it took so long. It took another 10 minutes to get our food. 40 minutes for food is ridiculous, especially classic breakfast food! Our server didn't come by with any update while we waited. My husband loved his breakfast burrito! My mom enjoyed her Florentine Benedict. I didn't like my Eggs Benedict. The Benedict serving was huge! The hollandaise sauce covered half the plate! The portion of the smoked ham was generous, but not proportional. The amount of ham was too salty for the meal. My mom and I agreed the hollandaise sauce was overwhelming and bland. I added pictures of our leftover Eggs Benedict, still so much hollandaise sauce left. The hash browns were salty to me, but I am sensitive to salt. I'd come back for the biscuits. The portions were big, but bigger isn't always better. Bene's, another breakfast restaurant down the street is exceedingly better for Eggs Benedict.
