Best pulled pork sandwiches I've ever had. Bar none. I'm old, and I've eaten ALOT of them so trust me (or not) when I say this.

Ok so we wanted this to be fantastic...we LOVE seafood and we were so excited to finally get to try…read morethem out when they came to our town but there were issues. We're serious foodies, we've driven 5 hours just for a great dinner before. We cook a lot, all from scratch, and we truly appreciate great food. On to the review...first of all..nice folks and a clean truck, no issues there. We order, they're out of a couple of things we wanted which happens so we ordered a trio of fried fish, calamari, and scallops then lobster bisque and a fish sandwich. We're told it'll take "No more than 25 minutes" so we wait. It took an HOUR for our food to appear. There was a small line but nothing out of the ordinary so this is definitely an issue that was being grumbled about in line by others who had also been waiting that long. Now I'm a lobster bisque junky, I buy it every time it's on any menu and I make my own. The bisque was rather pricey considering it came in a tiny slaw container. It was barely lukewarm, and it did not taste homemade but it was ok. It was the best thing we bought. The sandwich was also tasty however my husband has an arthritic and headache reaction anytime he eats anything with the flavor additive MSG (or the 30+ other names MSG goes by) and this sandwich triggered his reaction more than anything he's eaten in over two years. His fingers swelled and it took 2 days to come down from it. I can't even imagine how much was put into the seasoning mix to have this happen. It's a risk he takes when eating out but it's never been this bad. But for those that aren't sensitive to this they'll probably enjoy the sandwich. We had watched them open frozen bulk seafood/hush puppy bags and dump into the fryers while waiting so our expectations dropped because we thought all of this was going to be freshly breaded, seasoned, prepared, etc. What we ended up with was Walmart brand quality frozen fish sticks, tasteless bready scallops, and overly peppery and bready calamari. We were slightly heartbroken when we finally got our food. While waiting, we noticed the tip jar. The act of having a tip jar out while charging that much for an hour wait for deep fried food was definitely a topic of conversation amongst those of us waiting. I will say we wanted to try the lobster rolls but they were out so I truly hope they live up to expectations of others, unfortunately we won't be back unless the ingredients improve. I hope they do well though, best of luck.

Ordered 2 lobster rolls that came with fries. First, they put both orders of fries in a box and…read moreboth lobster rolls in a box. Why would you do that? It's for 2 people. The fries (both orders combined) were smaller than a medium Burger King order. And the lobster rolls were so small. Like, I can't even describe.. maybe the size of a 4 inch sub from subway, MAYBE, with 3 tablespoons of filling. Total was at least $31 and had I known how small everything was and how long I had to wait (30ish minutes, without a line) I wouldn't have left an additional 15% tip! So disappointed! Seen this truck next to McDonald's and glad I stopped here for lunch. I LOVE street tacos so I…read morethought I'd give them a try. Got 4 chicken tacos which came out to $2.50 a piece. The chicken is seasoned well the tortillas are good. Don't think they are hand made but they get the job done. What's really good is the sauce and those pickled carrots which have a hint of spice to them. I literally inhaled 2 out the 4 before I realized I didn't put the sauce on yet. So that should go to show that the tacos are GOOD and not dry. Would recommend is you want street tacos

I love Alberto's! My family and I eat there most Friday evenings. The burrito I order (w/ no…read morelettuce) is only $5.00 and are big and delicious. The tacos are awesome too, and they're only $1.25 each. They have chicken (my fave), pork, spicy pork, lengua (tongue), barbacoa, carnitas and carne asada. They probably offer vegetarian meals, but I don't know. The quesadillas (w/ no lettuce) are very good - if you can eat them soon after receiving them - the bottom gets a bit oily from the meat. However, they are VERY good. They offer sopas and fajitas and other large plates, but I haven't tried them...yet. The prices are cheaper than they should be for the quality of food. I highly recommend Taqueria Alberto's. I always call ahead and give them 5-10 minutes. Fresh, tasty food w/ a friendly crew.
