I love this dental office so much. Great parking, great people, and thorough work every time

Apparently the previous dentists here were pretty good. I saw Dr. Kim, however, who was relentless in attempting to get me to have unnecessary work done and refused to replace the 2 fillings that my insurance covers annually. As soon as I arrived, I was told the cleaning I had scheduled for the same visit would have to occur another day after my checkup, which took a great deal of time as the dentist tried to assure me disaster was just a step away unless I had out of pocket procedures ASAP. I was then told I couldn't make my cleaning appt unless I also scheduled a consult with Dr. Kim. Shortly afterward I called to cancel the consult, as I knew it was just going to be more hard sell to have work done. The cleaning went fine and I was waiting for my topical fluoride treatment, which is typically done immediately after cleaning, when I was removed from the room by a couple of employees who told me I hadn't cancelled my consult and would have to wait for Dr. Kim to talk with me. I was fed up and left. A few weeks later I received my Explanation of Benefits from HMSA which included a charge for the fluoride treatment I didn't receive. I've written HMSA dental customer service, but feel that others should be aware of what awaits them if they see Dr. Kim. As far as the staff goes, some of them seem genuinely nice, but others were rude. BTW, a friend went to Dr. Kim regarding a temporary front tooth she has. He made a mistake and then charged her for the repair. Despite her protests, she ended up paying $9000! read more

They have this Awesome laser machine called "SOLEA" No drill machine for doing fillings, which means No needles or Numbing involve, no sedation needed but had 4 fillings to do that day, I slept through the whole procedure which only took 30 minutes, I was very impressed with "SOLEA" machine, I recommend this to anyone that's is scared of needles...Thank you Dr. Kim read more

I've been coming here for over 15 years and thought it was time to write a review. Before meeting Dr. Revestir, I had stopped going to the dentist for several years because of anxiety issues. I was honest with him and his staff about this from my first appointment. I quickly learned there was nothing for me to worry about! At every visit, I feel comfortable, safe, treated with professionalism and friendliness. I lived in Maliki and now Makakilo and I make the long drive because it's completely worth it! As a former smoker of 30 years, I had a lot of issues which Dr. Revestir has helped me to work on. Along with regular cleanings, my gums have been on the mend and my overall dental health went from horrible to fantastic! I have also had the pleasure of meeting with Dr. Ma who is friendly and extremely knowledgeable. I also appreciate the service provided by the office staff, dental hygienists, and dental assistants. If I hadn't found the Temple Valley Dental Group all those years ago, I would probably be in need of dentures by now. read more

All my best dental experiences have been here; from hygenics or exams, to more invasive dental work. I see Dr. Revestir, and between him and the medical staff, I always feel welcome and relaxed. The front office is professional and courteous and they are really easy to schedule with. Everyone communicates really well, which is a big deal to me since I ask a lot of questions (probably silly ones too). Highly recommend if you're shopping for a new dental care office on the windward side! read more

We have been going here for 20 years. Very convenient dentistry if you live in the Ahuimanu area. Tucked away in the corner of the Koolau Center by Times Market, I love coming because they staff are so nice, and have been there for years. Nice waiting area with plenty of magazines and a nice aquarium. We started out with Dr. Brown and Dr. Briggs, but Dr. Briggs retired and Dr. Brown is semi-retired, so we have been seeing Dr. Revister for the last 4 years. Nice Filipino dentist, he seems to have brought the office to newer technology and he is very knowledgeable. The dental hygienists are all nice and gentle. They updated their reminder calls to text and email, and are open 6 days a week. They take most insurances and even sell teeth whitener. Plenty of parking, and you can do your grocery shopping , have lunch and get you nails and hair done after wards in the Koolau Center. read more

I should have paid more attention to the reviews of this place. The staff is nice and welcoming but it's to make up for the horrible treatment this office supplies. I went in for a simple filling and the staff was really nice until I met the "doctor". He was very noisy and honestly kinda rude. I just went in for a simple filling that never bothered me in the past. When I left my mouth was okay with an understanding amount of discomfort but then the pain got worse and worse. I ended up having to go to the ER because the pain was unbearable. So yeah the staff is nice but that's the only nice thing you'll get from this office. There are a lot of better options in the area. read more

Got charged a $50 fee for not showing up for an appointment- that's double my copay and not realistic for people with busy lives. Some of their dental equipment is outdated. They were offering a $50 raffle if you scheduled an appointment with them. I've been going for over 10 years and now I'm frustrated and taking my business somewhere else. New dentists after Dr. Brown that I'm unsatisfied with. read more

This dentist needs to learn to have aloha. If u prefer a dentist that talks down to u and has a chip on their shoulder, this is the place for u. When a dentist asks if u r local, is this some kind of discrimination? Being local should have nothing to do w providing service to customers. I will never come back here or recommend to anyone. Went to Dr. Revistir today for an aching tooth and other supposedly needed dental work. He looked me over and we decided that I did not need the other dental work right now. So he focused on the aching teeth and fixed me right up. He is very professional, quick and understanding of my need to keep costs down and only fix what is absolutely necessary. My wife and I have been going to Temple Valley Dental for 18 years now. First with Dr. Brown and now Dr. Revestir. All the girls at the front desk are so nice, dental hygienists take their time, clean and friendly environment and they keep you up to date for you yearly appointments. I also buy my teeth whitening here, which is affordable .Tucked away in the Koolau Shopping center around the corner from Times Market. Convenient, open 6 days a week and ample parking. I went there for two years out of convenience and when I told them I was not coming to them any more due to their illegal vaccine mandate, then they started sending extra bills for work dated on a day after I stopped coming. I was gonna start off by saying that I love coming here, but who loves going to the dentist? LOL!!! But, as far as dentist offices go, I'm really happy being a patient here. I have a little disclaimer, Jason (Dr. Revestir) and I were childhood friends. We lost touch for 20+ years as I moved to the mainland 15-16 years ago. We got back in touch 5 or so years ago, and that's when I went in for my first office visit. When we reconnected, we had a lot of catching up, but it didn't feel like over 20 years went by. I love getting my dental work done by Dr. Revestir. He still has that fun-loving personality he had when he was a kid, but he also has a very professional dentist side to him. Unfortunately, on a visit home from the mainland, I had some really bad tooth pain that ultimately ended up with me getting a root canal. Everyone took really good care of me. The receptionist got me in right away. Dr. Revestir took care of the pain and my tooth and got me in to an endodontist quickly for my root canal. I was in really bad pain, so it was such a relief that everything was done so quickly! I don't know if I can give a better endorsement than the following statements. I live all the way on the other side of the US (in New Jersey!), but I don't have a dentist here. I fly back to Hawaii once or twice a year and always go back to Temple Valley Dental Group for my dental work. Yes, I use part of my vacation to see a dentist. LOL!!! Everyone there, from the receptionists to the hygienists to my friend Dr. Revestir makes the experience really comfortable, and they do a really good job. Go check them out! :) read more

I need to brag about Temple Valley Dental Group. I believe I am so very lucky to have found these dentist to help me. Even luckier that I live close by. A little back ground. I had not been to any dentist in many years. Yes, my mouth kept getting bad. I didn't go because I have high anxiety when in a chair and being worked on. I want to get up and run out the door. (Its me, not them.) On my first visit to Temple Valley Dental Group I explained this to Dr Revestir. I also went into a little detail why I have this problem. Dr Revestir listened and said he would take precautions to minimize my problem. And true to his word, he did. I've been going to Temple Valley Dental office now for a couple of years. In that time I've been able to manage each session because of Dr Revestir and the staff's consideration for my anxieties. These are considerate and compassionate people. Oh my gosh -- I can finally go to the dentist without having panic attacks!! Dr. Revestir was AMAZING with me! I told him up front about all of my anxieties, how it's hard for me to get numb, and such. He said, "No problem!" And truthfully, it wasn't a problem at all! I got a good dose of nitrus, he visited with me & made me feel super comfortable before even numbing me up. The fillings went so smoothly, so quickly it seemed, & I had NO SORENESS afterward. That was incredible! (Normally, I am always sore after getting a filling & don't feel like eating for 2 days.) I've had 2 procedures done here so far & will be getting a 3rd one done in a few days. I can't say that I'm "looking forward to it", but I can honestly say that thanks to Dr. Revestir, all of my anxiety about going into the dentist is now GONE! I really like the staff at the desk, as well. They take a few extra minutes to get to know you a bit, & remember you the next time you're in. HORRRRRRIBLE EXPERIENCE! MY POOR SON WAS TORTURED HERE. The old doctor stopped in the middle of numbing my sons gums and KICKED him out because he was scared and tearing up. he then said he doesnt specialize in doing kids and he recomends i go elsewhere. disgusting! If i knew that from the get, I never would have had him work on my son! This place should be shut down for being unprofessional, and unethical. read more

I have visited the office twice and have not had a good experience either time. The hygienist was rude and scolded me when she found out that I shared silverware with my child. During one visit where I got a filling Dr Brown and his assistant got in a little grumble and were bickering while working on my teeth and he kept getting angry because she was handing him the wrong things. A year later when I visited another dentist, it was discovered that there was a hole left in my tooth that had attracted decay and had become a cavity. The dentist was not impressed with the work that had been done by DR Brown. All this being said, my husband loves DR Brown, but he has never had cavities or needed more than a tooth cleaning. read more

I was referred to Dr. Brown more than 20 years ago by a periodontist who said he was the best dentist on the windward side. His staff work there for their entire careers - minimal turnover. They dont leave unless they move away. Dr. Brown and the other dentists at Temple Valley are the best. Ive had bridgework, crowns, mouthguard, regular cleanings. Always great work. Very friendly, clean, and efficiently ran office. Temple valley d.d.s. has to be the best dentist's office I've ever been to. Dr. Revestir took the time and care to make sure that I was 100% comfortable throughout the whole procedure; that's something that all of the other dentists I've been to haven't been able to do. He was also very friendly we had a nice conversation while he worked on my teeth. The office staff are also really friendly, quick, and will take the care to make sure your happy. I've recently started to go to another dentist after my dentist of 20 yrs retired and I just wasn't feeling the connection with this new dentist. I was referred to TVDG after getting a cap put on by the new dentist and having excruciating pain twice over the weekend. Had the worst dental visit of my life here! I've had fillings since I was a child and numerous dental procedures and been to many dentists. Dr. Errico and his assistant were horrible. They were unprofessional and rude to me! Their equipment leaked all over my face and she pinched my lip and never apologized. He was impatient with me and had to keep redoing the fillings because he made my gums bleed. My husband had an appointment at the same time with a different doctor for a root canal and he was done before me! Then, after my awful experience we got a bill for $900! What?! Needless to say I didn't make the second appointment he recommended. read more

Nothing but a horrible experience for my entire family. They weren't able to examine my son, and they lacked the effort to try. My husbands top root canal cap came off three times which meant time and gas to travel to recap it. I had a silver filling that came out and my tooth cracked. On top of all of this, the receptionist was RUDE! She quoted way cheaper quotes, and after the treatment charged us way more than expected. We left and our now with Kaneohe Radiant Smiles and Dr. Fujiraoka is wonderful. Her staff is so welcoming. The assistant took the time to make my son feel comfortable which allowed him to sit on the dentist chair. We are happy we made the change. With our bad experiences at temple valley dental group, I do not recommend it at all. To me, it appeared that the staff was all about making money and not the care of the client. I'm only selecting one star because I have to, if this app would allow i would not have selected any stars. read more
