I was amazed to learn that this place offers Free Introductory classes…read more The only thing was, I had no idea what Pilates was. No idea whatsoever. To me, Pilates sounded like something you would order in an Italian restaurant. But I read my friend Heather K's review and decided to check this place out for myself. And I'm so glad I did! I signed up for the Free Introductory class. It was kind of fun. Well, maybe fun is a bit of an exaggeration. I guess it would be more accurate to say it was interesting. Interesting enough to make me want to learn more about Pilates. I decided to sign up for some classes. The staff was very helpful, and answered all my questions about the various packages the Club offers. Booking classes using the Club Pilates website was super easy. So now that I've gone to a couple classes, I'll share what I think what Pilates is all about. It seems to me that Pilates is a system to convert mechanical energy to electricity. I'm guessing it's part of the Green New Deal. Electricity is generated by an apparatus called "The Reformer." It's essentially a torso sized platform mounted on tracks. The platform is spring loaded; users lay on their back and use their arms and legs to propel the platform back and forth on the track. A dynamo under the reformer converts the motion into electricity. Every Pilates studio produces enough electricity every hour to supply an entire strip mall. That's why so many strip malls have Pilates "studios." The genius part of Pilates is marketing it as a form of exercise. They actually get people to pay a lot of money to take what they call "classes." The studio, or "Club" then makes money by selling the electricity generated to the Grid. It's pure genius. Instead of having to pay people to work the machines, Pilates gets people to pay them! And then they make even more money by selling the energy the machines generate. Genius, I tells ya! One of the sweetest parts for those taking Pilates "classes" is that the work really is great exercise. It's low impact, so there is less risk of injury than many other forms of exercise. Pilates workouts focus on strengthening your core. It's a very accessible form of exercise. You don't already have to be in great shape to start. Pilates meets you where you are. Another one of the sweetest parts of Club Pilates is their staff. From the front desk, to the instructors, every employee is cheerful, helpful and genuinely concerned with helping you achieve your goals. I think I've had three different instructors now. Each was quite different. All were excellent Plus, everyone at Club Pilates has a great sense of humor and they're totally cool with customers making up outlandish stories about the reformers generating electricity and other nonsense and publishing them in a review on Yelp. At least I hope so. LOL I highly recommend Club Pilates. There has never been a better time to start than right now! Mikey C says: try a free Introductory Class! You'll be glad you did!

Fit Buddha changed my life, seriously! I had not worked out for over ten years when I started…read morebecause I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012. I underwent a bilateral mastectomy, and went through another 10 (yes 10) reconstructive surgeries over the course of two years and topped that off with spinal fusion 4 years ago. I had just turned sixty and honestly felt I was forever doomed to a weak, shapeless body. I was shy and embarrassed. But from the moment I walked into Fit Buddha, everything shifted. The space was welcoming, the instructors were warm and encouraging, and the energy was pure empowerment. They met me exactly where I was--physically and emotionally--and helped me build strength I thought I'd lost forever. Slowly, class by class, I began to feel muscles I hadn't felt in years waking up again. I started standing taller, moving with more confidence, and, dare I say it, feeling powerful. This isn't just a workout--it's a healing journey wrapped in sweat and trembling muscles. The Lagree method is no joke (your glutes will write you angry letters), but it's also deeply transformative. I am stronger, leaner, and more connected to my body than I ever was in my 30s or 40s. And the best part? I now look forward to movement. I'm no longer working out to punish my body--I'm showing up to honor it. To anyone who feels like their best days are behind them, or that they're too far gone to make a change--please hear me: you are not. Fit Buddha helped me reclaim my strength, my confidence, and my joy. And for that, I will be forever grateful. So thank you Marcus, Ava and all of your amazing instructors!

I was a first time guest and at check in was offered a tour of the studios, greatly appreciated!…read moreThe studio is very pretty. I joined the unheated Gentle Flow class and I enjoyed it. Outside each studio door there are instructions on what supplies you will need to grab when you enter, and how many people to a row. I love clear instructions! Especially as a first timer to the studio. Rebecca was a great instructor and gave great suggestions throughout the class on different things you could try during each stage if you wanted to kick it up a notch or keep things simple. Provided cleaning materials in the back of the studio for the items used was great! I enjoyed myself thoroughly. I don't live in the area, otherwise I would visit often. Thank you very much ladies!

The quality of instruction alone makes the pricing feel fair. Every instructor is highly skilled and brings their own intention and energy to class. I'm especially drawn to Carrie for her light hearted humor, grounding presence, and nurturing teaching style. Each class feels thoughtfully planned and you truly get your money's worth. The studio offers even more value beyond classes. The staff is warm and welcoming, and the space itself is a cozy boutique style studio with curated gifts, skincare like EarthTonics, and yoga brands such as Beyond Yoga. It feels community focused, supportive, and non judgmental, which is something I have not experienced at other studios even at higher price points. They also include added value through events and workshops that deepen your practice without feeling transactional. Even the EarthKandee vending fridge with healthy snacks and drinks feels like a thoughtful extra after class. For the quality of instruction, the welcoming environment, and everything included, Grassroots Yoga offers excellent value for the price. Their one month unlimited option for $69 is an affordable way to try it out, and the drop in rate is fair for what you receive. I would highly recommend it.
