Temple college was a steeping stone to transfer to UT Austin with a full ride scholarship. At Temple college I got to learn a lot. Professors were super personal, and truly cared about their classes. I got to be part of organizations like LULAC, and develop leadership skills. My statistics professor was so personal and she cared so much about her job to the point that she would let you txt her to ask for help on homework after hours. Writing lab was a great resource, as well as the math lab. Tons of resources are provided if you need help with assignments. read more

2021-2023. Sending my son to a Jr College was to be a stepping stone to a four year university. As a baseball player this is highly recommended. Unfortunately, I DO NOT recommend Temple College! The two years my son spent here were filled with Great disappointment. My son was Aggressively grabbed and yelled at by Asst Coach Train. This was reported to the Head coach and College Board and they passed it off as Train will not do it again. I hope and pray this does not happen again! read more

Temple College is a great cost-effective alternative for your undergraduate studies in comparison to private schools or universities. This is my second time here as a student since 2004 and I'm currently enrolled to fulfill my requirements towards the CTC LVN to ADN program. Unfortunately, my science prerequisites have now expired according to the program, so I have to retake them. I previously had Dr. Terry Austin for Human Anatomy & Physiology I and II, and also for Microbiology. I'm extremely happy to find that he's still there because he is the kind of professor that makes you so interested to learn, plus he's easy on the eyes *wink* ;) TC's website was a bit hard for me to navigate as far as registering for classes, so I decided to do it the ol' school way and just go up there. Some of the employees in Admissions weren't always the most knowledgeable with questions that I've had. To be honest, I felt like I was always directed to talk to someone else, and then that person would refer me to another - you get the idea. Also, proving my in-district status was a bit of an issue and another problem in itself. If you can get past these hurdles, the home stretch is relatively easy. If you need Academic Advising, I highly recommend Mary Ann Ray as your Academic Advisor. She was extremely helpful and played an integral part by getting me on the waitlist for an otherwise full class. Best of luck to everyone pursuing their advancement in education! read more

I took dual credit classes here during High School to earn college credit before attending Texas State University. The classes I took were basic English Literature and Political Science courses. The professors were helpful and the classes were easy which made me greatly appreciate the decision I made to take dual credit courses. The email and grade checking websites were very user friendly which helped a lot too. I recommend taking dual credit courses here if your High School allows it, or take your basics here before attending a University to save a lot of money. You won't regret it! read more

Unfortunately, I have many experiences of lack of knowledge and willingness to help students. Administration was unprofessional in communication, information, and incorrect charge of tuition multiple times. President, asked for my personal feedback and she never acknowledged my letter that she requested. I had some awesome interaction staff members, but most have left leaving unprofessional atmosphere. I loved this college. I met a lot of really great people while here, but more importantly I felt the teachers were fair and prepared me to go to University. Also if you are not part of TRIO you should go there. I spent a lot of time there and met really good people like Debbi Owens, Tina Marsh and Cecilia. I would do my homework there and receive help and tutoring. It is a wonderful thing for the College to allow students to access programs like these and I am hoping that more people can create programs like these. I received my Associate's Degree here and racked up a lot of transfer credit. I would come back and do it all over again if I had the chance. Great School read more

I respect small colleges - especially public ones - because they often become something of a cultural center within each of their communities. For example, Temple College seems to take on much of the cultural heavy-lifting in the Temple-Killeen area. They more-or-less house & feature the Temple Symphony, which also counts faculty & staff members among its board members & personnel. Before the recent economic woes, the symphony always performed a concert at that cultural dearth called Fort Hood each January. Music, opera & theatre faculty & students also enrich the community's cultural life with regular productions of major works. I can't speak with authority about the art department, but a lovely new gallery appeared after the recent renovations & construction - the art business can't be too bad! Having spent more than my portion in Temple & Killeen, I shudder to think of the state of the local culture if the college were not here. It's chilling. read more

The Temple College experience was ok. Teachers and classes were fine. Most of my classes were at the main campus but I took two at the Taylor center. My biggest issue with TC is the office staff. The people in the admissions office always gave me the impression that I (and everyone else) was a nuisance to them. It didn't matter if I needed to register, drop, get a new ID or a parking pass. Their demeanor always indicated I was an idiot and I was wasting their time. I transferred to Texas Sate University and was dreading any interaction with the admissions office. I was shocked at how nice these people were. If they weren't genuinely kind people, they were great at faking it. Since TC is a community college, I expected to feel welcomed by the staff and was not. At Texas State I expected to feel like a number. Instead they made me feel like I belonged there. Also, tested out of English, history and Spanish at TC. These credits transferred and were accepted for my degree plan at TXST. Weirdly, they were not accepted at TC for their degree plans. Great place to save some money and prepare for the next step. Don't expect more than that. read more
