Thank you both! I took CPR, AED & First Aid for professional certification. They were informative classes that provided hands-on training using manikins which light up to indicate proper positioning of hands. Materials were also provided for study reviews and knowledge tests. It's best to get the trio package cuz it discounts the cost for the First Aid portion. All three will take up about 4 hours of your time. These live courses are approved by American Heart Association and you get a printable certification issued with a validated number. If you had thought of taking these lifesaving courses, but somehow never did, please go! Temple CPR offers free community courses every 1st Wednesday monthly. If you don't require a certification, but want to learn, sign up to reserve a seat and learn how to save a life.

Around November 7th, 2022. I contacted the Red Cross after my father died. I was requesting help…read moregetting my nephew, sent home for the funeral. I was overwhelmed by the kindness and concern that was given. They immediately contacted my nephews, commanding officer, and made sure he could get the time off of work. I received an email the next morning, telling me that they had contacted his commanding officer. They contacted me by telephone after to make sure that he, had sufficient funds for his air line ticket, and if he needed help getting a ride to the airport. I received a call and email asking if everything was taken care of and if there was anything else that they could do to assist us. During this time I'm sorry I didn't write and say how wonderful they were. Today I received a questionnaire, asking me how they did. I n thinking about this I realized they really deserved a big shout out. So if you're thinking about donating to an organization, I would recommend the Red Cross wholeheartedly. This is a change in my mindset due to my families dislike of the Red Cross over the years for something that happened I believe in World War II! Or Korean conflict!
